Great comparison. Thanks for uploading. I have a Ric 360, and it's nice to see how it compares with the solid body Rics. The 620 sounds great. 650 isn't the quintessential Ric, but still nice in its own right. Thanks for putting this together!
@technicouleurs I should say a British Vox! Ive tried some of the CC models ac 15 and 30 ac and they arent horrible ,they just miss something I cant put my finger on! Ihave had the pleasure of playing thru a few oldie mid 60s Ac 30s and 15s and gotten spoiled on their sounds
does anyone know if rickenbacker made/make a 350d without the mirror plate for the knobs? its the only thing i dislike about the guitar and i really want one after seeing cbas of DSS playing one and im seeing them tomorow so ill get a good look at it.
The 360 is very well suited for small hands. It has a very thin neck and the action is very low! Infact all Ricks have thin necks except the 660, which has the wider neck.

I have a Tom Petter 12 model with a Fender Blues Deluxe. That combo blows away any Ric combo I have heard. I am not sure what type of pickups are on the 660TP, but they aren't the normal toasters. Good stuff. Thanks for sharing.
@kyzrvlhlm1995 i've seen two 481 on ebay recently, one is still on there and you wouldn't get much change outta 3 grand i'm afraid. i've got a 480 and it cost me 900gbp but if you manage to find one in a shop a good one will set you back between 1200 and 1800 thats if you can find one, it took me well over a year to find one that wasnt beaten to shit
@kyzrvlhlm1995 pre kasabian you could pick up a 481 for around 700-800 quid, since kasabian blew up and serge became an icon you aint got no chance pal. if you can find one for that price then snap it up cos you will make a killing, in fact if you find one for that price then let me know! :)
Hello, nice demo! First of all, the second guitar is a 620, right? It says 320/6 in the video.. I have a Ric on my wish list, but I'm not sure which model to choose. If you had to choose only one of these three, which one would you choose, and why?
I am not even being a troll or an elitist. A Rickenbacker truly has a sound all its own. It's very hard (if not impossible) to truly reproduce, especially for 300-350 British pounds.
The 620 has a great warm sound. This was helpful to me. Is either the 330, 360, or 370 (the ones I can find for sale now) warmer then any of the others in that group?
hey dude thats some nice playing greatly complimented by the best guitars in the world! but what are the exact settings with your 360? I know the toasters definitely give it that jangle but do you have any kind of effect on it? compression? also what are the amp settings? i would really like to know and it would help me decide between toasters and high gains
I don't know for sure, but I would guess it was perhaps a compressor. One way for people to truly get the most out of their Rickenbacker's is to run it through a compressor. Roger McGuinn does that among other notables.
Buy the 620, I bought one 3 days ago.. Compared the 2 (360 & 620) in one shop and I think the 620 gives so much more body and character to your sound.. Try to compare the two in the same shop at the same amp and let those guitars speak.. :) good luck.. (I bought the 620 jetglow)
i did exactly what you said (different amps though)...(two different stores) so basically i tried to follow your advice but i fell in love with the 620. Now guess what! i bought a 620 with fireglo! IM IN LOVE
I agree with you. the 360 and the 620 sound like ur typical beautiful Rickenbacker sound that we love. the dakota 650 sounds a little to distant from that renound jangle of your typical Rickenbacker
I'm debating between purchasing a 360 and a 620 so this is helpful. Any insights? I'd go with HiGains on either. Does one "play better" or is one more versatile? The 360 seems to have a bit more bass, which I like. FYI, I use a Vox AC15. Thanks.

Great demo. The 620 with hi-gains sound the best.

The toasters sound great when distorted (very thick), but the single coils are much better for clean tones. IMHO.

@roundaboutwrongway I usually hear the opposite. I love my high-gains with thick distortion. Toasters are suppose to sound thinner.

for a 360 series and about 1000 to 1500 usd or 800 to 1350 for most others
