  • 14 seriously sad people need to get a fvcking life....

  • The Sweet.....before Drugs, Alcohol and, and...... Real Glam Rock. Like it.....

  • I'm going to the show tonight here in Las Vegas!!!!

  • free replay button 0:00

  • absolutely kicking from start to finish

  • These guys were the Kings of Glam !!!!!

  • You can sure see what influences The Sweet enjoyed. Money talks and Sweet paid the postage. I hear Bowie, Queen, Bolan and other influences. Who cares if they copped a riff here and there. Genre is Genre baby !! And Sweet glittered !!

  • @Starfield1959 Queen came after Sweet, and they blatantly stole from them.

  • recycle the 70`s

  • Takes me back to being 10 years old watching Supersonic on ITV. As a kid I loved The Sweet but did not realise their talent. Now I regard them even more.

  • I was like a total f"ng geek in the '70's, but I get hot just remembering sitting with the mid calf skirted girls like Jocelyn and Tracy, sharing a Soda and Pepporoni pizza and engaging in sexual innuendoed jokes. I remember Jocelyn's, "why don't we meet back of Kmart and see what happens." Teenage rampage indeed!

  • The guy in yellow looks like a chick that used to stare at me in English

  • @DrClay420 He's a guy, lol

  • Childhood memories : )

  • the beatles of glam rock.

  • I love this version, although I am still partial to a kick ass cover version you probably will never hear on YouTube-

Then you never usually hear the phrase "kick ass" in conjuction with the Heywoods (yes, those Heywoods from the sevenites...)

  • this is so damn good even today:)

  • Thumbs up if you heard this song from The Neds film!

  • @koolkillax

Just what I was going to say :D

  • @kramnodd12 Oh yeah =D aye well NEDS was a good film! Apart from the crappy ending....

  • @koolkillax Nope, because some of us actually listen to these gresat bands.

  • @kittiesgomow33 Excuse me, but I heard this from Neds only. Which is the only reason why I searched it up on Youtube. Excuse us lot for not being around when good music like this was around. Fuck sake...

  • @koolkillax Haha. You assume I am like 93 or something.. im only 14, and I was just saying. Dont have to get all pissy

  • @kittiesgomow33 Haha! What you think you're funny now!? No I didn't assume that's what you said. Even still, how on bloody hell's name am I suppose to know what age you are!? I not a fuckin' mind reader. Did not occur to you that you sound it. Just cos it's obvious to you what age you are doesn't mean it's obvious to others. Don't need to be a cunt about it....

  • @koolkillax LOL. here you are freaking out about my age. what a retard xD

  • @kittiesgomow33 Wow were you born on the highway? Because that's were most accidents happen! P.S. Your a retard! XD

  • @koolkillax Haha thats kinda ironic, because i never said anything retardede, yet u replied as if i did. I dont know, but i would say u were the retarded one.

And next time u comment, im not going to respond, because this is just getting out of control, over something so simple. And i apologize if I "offended" u in any way

  • @kittiesgomow33 No! Whats more Ironic is that you said I was a retard from the start then turned it back on me "again" because I said it to you! I didn't say do anything retarded that was you! I did not do shit! You started this so, if anything I think this is your fault! Oh & you will be!

  • Remeber this fae neds, classic song.

  • Still a good song!

So sad that Brian and Mick both died :(

    The Sweet music is 4-ever!

  • Still a good song!

So sad that Brian and Mick both died :(

  • Compared to lots of very popular music of the 70's, The Sweet have some of the by far best rhythms which still give them airplay on several radiostations these days and occasionally in sportsstadiums. In comparison to back-then-greats as 10cc, Chicago, Cream, Ten Years After, Blood Sweat & Tears and many more. I'm not saying they were better musicians, still: while I listen to Bands as G 'n R, Metallica, Bon Jovi, Springsteen, U 2 and many more, the 70's are mainly represented by SWEET

  • 13 people got stomped by a teenag rampage.

  • Man i am 17 all the music ffrom the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's are the BOMB!! Better then some of the shit people listen to these days! I wouldlove to thank my mum and dad for introducing me to all this music!!

  • @MsJustinBieber10ify

I'm just going to point out... you're username is "MsJustinBeiber10ify"....and you're saying you think music these days suck? Doesn't look like you think so. Jussaying.

  • @Hiyiyiya Do I ever agree with your reply..

  • Bowies sucks big time. I dont care if he sued them, they were still much better to watch than that boring freak . He's doing well now though , eh ??

  • Cleo --- CORRECT ...

  • Excellent Glam Rock Band. Rip Brian And Mick.

  • They sure could play their own instruments damn well when I saw them in 1973 -

  • Man... I flat out love this vintage clip. Easily one of my favorite songs by the band. Great stuff!!

  • Saw them in Melbourne '75 and they were shite. Took themselves too seriously and treated the audience with contempt. No encore and didn't play Teenage Rampage. How could you not play Teenage Rampage when the audience was screaming "we want sweet"? So disappointing!

  • Sweet your the best I love all of you .and i love the way brain dressed,i have thought about Sweet everyday since i first heard them on my K-Tel album in 1973?with little willie and fox on the run.Didnt Sweet write fox on the run or was it chin and chapman?any i love you sweet.

  • Brian we love you! <3

  • Bowie is well known as stealing heavily from other artists: The Velvet Underground, Marc Boland (his session guitarist before the Hype) and obviously The Sweet who had been walking this path since 1968. Bowie didn't full develop his sound or image until "Spiders" in 1972. As for Queen, they started out as a progressive rock band and didn't picked the glam vibe up until much later. Sweet came first, defined it all first and everyone else is a imitation.

  • @cleolicious Reasonable arguement, but wrong.

  • @cleolicious Bowie also was innovative. They all "stole" from the mersey sound which stole from US Rock and Roll which stole from US Black Music which stole out of African Beat.

  • sucks that brian died

  • @MrCobinator we all have to go , and his way of living did make him die before his time , sad !

  • You know, there really isn't any mainstream pop/rock music that has even a quarter of the style, verve and gusto that the Sweet's hits had..

And they were fun to watch as well!

    Glamtatstic pop-pickers!

  • SWEET FOREVER!

  • And The Ramones.

  • reconize your age its a TEENAGE RAMPAGE NOOWWWWW!!!!!!! awsome song

  • I thought the Bay City Rollers wrote this song :O

  • Krasne stare hity.

  • nice shirt brian. love the whole pokodots u got goig on there <3

  • why did all the awesome bands have to be in the70's-80's and i had to be born like 789256927 years later??? :(

  • I will never recognise my age I am now and will always be 16 despite watever any one else has to say on the matter The Sweet were utterly Brilliant

  • Mick fucking Tucker

  • If I was in a band and could only cover one Sweet song, it'd be this one. It sounds like so much fun and I love it!

  • 13 ppl did not rampage

  • @guardianofhell

    13 D***heads you mean.

  • sweet the best band ever

  • Maybe IF we had RAMPAGED, the world wouldn't be in the mess it is now.

    ONE of the BEST BANDS...EVER.

  • The early 70s...what a romantic time. Everything seems so timeless...

  • andy scott is SO hot. I want him in my pants.

- UUUU saudades!

  • Yes I agree fantastic backing vocals ...great unique sounding band!.. classic! .

    .. Love H/H Electronic Amplifiers!!!!

  • Man the kids in the 70s must've ate this song up!

  • @Triumph72

    WE DID.!!!

  • Ach waren das herrliche Zeiten !!

  • @unlikeanyotherhuman

I read somewhere that Queen actually was inspired by the vocals performed by Sweet

Sweet is a very underrated band, and only bad luck did that they did not end up in the Top Class of rock bands like Queen, Genisis etc

An album like Give Us A Wink is in my eyes a fantastic overlooked classic Rock Album of the seventies

  • YEAH!! ;)

  • Die waren einfach nur GEEEEEIIIL !!!!!!!

  • Brian looks gorgeous and so adorable in this video.. i could play with on constant rewind ;-)

  • one of there best songs very underrated bands ever.brian was a great frontman, just brillant

  • It's So awesome to see them here again after so many years, hehe been fan of them when I was a teenager :0)

  • @Sandrafe261 I'm sure Bryan Connely is still making the best music ever, in heaven.

  • SWEET RULES!!!!

  • NOW!

  • The band that both Bowie and Queen blatantly stole from.

  • @cleolicious how can you honestly say that?

  • @cleolicious Lol and crap,

  • @cleolicious-maybe, but come on-they were so not in bowies or queens league!

  • @cleolicious But you do know that for their first 4 or 5 singles, they had to hire studio musicians, as they couldn't play at all?

  • @cleolicious Yeah thats why bowie sued them in the early eighties for stealing the riff

from jean jeanie for blockbuster.get your facts right

  • Yeah thats why bowie sued them in the early seventies for stealing the riff

from jean jeanie for blockbuster.get your facts right

  • @cleolicious they ripped the riff from Bowie's the jene genie for their hit Blockbuster. Nutter.

  • @cleolicious Sure, I can hear Queen in this - but Bowie had already released singles B4 Sweet came on the scene, having a hit with Space Oddity in '69.

FYI, Sweet were still putting out light bubble-gum pop singles like CoCo and Funny Funny until Bowie came out with the Ziggy Stardust album in '72. Only then did Sweet's sound change to a harder-edged rock sound. In any rate, it seems obvious that artists such as Elton, T-Rex, Roxy, Sweet etc. were ALL borrowing liberally from each other.

  • @LantaGem Hey wait a sec, I agree wholeheartedly that Bowie did this style way before Sweet, but Marc Bolan from T. Rex invented and defined "Glam" rock. Everybody copied from him, and he hated it! This song was '74, listen to Electric warrior '71 and tell me who stole from who! By '74 Bolan was experimenting with gospel and soul, a year before Bowie dabbled in the genre!

  • @cleolicious Queen maybe, but Bowie used this style as early as '70!

  • @cleolicious Hate to say it - but the Queen we know were going in 1971 and causing a stir even with that similar sound back then even though that they hadn't recorded their debut album (which was 2 years later). A number of Glam bands were borrowing sounds and styles - that was the done thing (Mud, Ziggy Stardust, The Sweet, Queen, The Glitter Band...). It just happenned that with the Glam exlplosion - many were saying "They are emulating/ripping off etc.,..."

  • Freakin LOVE these dudes!!!!! I never get tired of jamming to their music...ever!! Totally miss the freakin 70's!!

  • 0:25 he's so cute : ))

Geile Zeit! Dieses Songs haben mein Musikhörverhalten sehr geprägt! Mag die Burschen sehr!

  • WE WANT SWEET!

  • OMG so cool! And shockingly handsome! i love Ballroom Blitz too!

  • Excelentes días!

  • Andy's ES335 was 2 ES335's put together,he bought it from a store that had a fire and the luthier put together that ES from 2 guitars that were in the fire. I think that's how he got his early sound, having a one of a kind guitar because I haven't heard anyone since have that tone and sound from a ES335. Also hes a very underated guitarist and singer, one of my all time favorites

  • Definitily, I love this song !!! Sweet, far the best band of 70's

  • The kids have spoken!! They want Sweet!!!!!

  • One day, I told my father I was in love wit Steve Priest. I was just a toddler and didn't know anything about love. But the name 'Steve' is just sooo beautiful, I thought. And now, a few weeks ago, my fahter told me the band is stoped 'cause Brian Conelly and Mick Tucker are dead.

  • always liked andys smiley (shit) sticker on his 335,although now removed.

  • mitici

  • I just checked out "Tiger Feet". Sorry MUD fans, they're not in Sweet's league, not at all.

  • Agree whit Tucker.

  • Brian Connolly,Andy Scott,Steve Priest,Mick Tucker:THE SWEET who can ever forget them!!!! I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! They were fantastic!! I still miss Brian and Mick, R.I.P. guys

  • I have always thought he was a great drummer. The Sweet kick Rock n Roll ass

  • What's the deal with the three ugly skanks in black leather/ They just stand there looking horribly uncomfortable. The one in the middle, her mouth moves but her eyes are dead. The whole video is uncomfortable. The singing, (okay, the talking) can not even be characterized as singing. More like opening the mouth and garbage flies out. I can literally smell how bad they were 40 years and 6000 miles away. Good riddance to these weirdos

  • @medellinproperties we'll all glad you're sooo far away.

  • Micky Tucker ... Tommy Lee only 10 years earlier..

  • They were all class as far as im concerned!!!!!

  • Творцы! - всё с душой!

... жаль сорок лет пролетели... без малого!

    Музыка с нами! Спасибо, Youtube!

  • ребята молодцы!!!! жесть! super!

  • Steve Priest is a Genius. Always Impressed me. Take Care Steve Priest.

  • This just looks so impossibly corny now. I wished the teenagers rampaged against such gross exploitation. Our appalling lack of discernment allowed the Chin Chapman songwriting machine to serve up dross like this and attempt to pass it off as art. Thank God for SAW, at least they weren't a bunch of pretentious twats.

  • @zapkvr Unlike you ... twat!

  • @stu5065 Oooohh great comeback dicwipe. What's with you Brits and your love of the word Twat. It's like some magical thing that you've never seen and constantly espouse. FUCK YOU. Fix your goddamn teeth and make me some fucking fish and chips ya filthy unshaven pubmonkey.

  • Brilliant. Just totally brilliant. Real music.

  • Awesome! What a band!

  • thought this band were ace when at school, still think so today, sad loss to music when brian died, excellent showman.

  • We Love Sweet!

  • Bought this from Woolies in New Ferry on me way home from school, fuck me seems like only yesterday

  • Fuck, Sweet are awesome. I've always loved them. My mum hates Sweet. She's a T-Rex fan.

  • Kept off top spot by Mud & Tiger Feet........What a travesty.Tiger feet great feel good record but not in same league.many have said it but will say it again.Sweet under rated genius.
