  • reall sorry man

  • I always enjoy this man's videos. Last year I lost my two best friends, so I do appreciate his melancholic mood. I would call my two friends "the salt of the earth" as I would this man. Thanks for the great videos.

  • You are a great person, and I love your videos. Thanks, Fred

  • @Fishermanfred1 spread organic heirloom food seed far and wide, its called"johnny appleseed economics"or"gorrila gardens",spread more organic food. wake up everyone,do your part!IF YOU ARE angry, get seed and make a organic revolution your way.SPREAD THE ORGANIC SEED EVERYWHERE TELL OTHERS! INCREASE THE FOOD SUPPLY RIGHT NOW WHILE WE GOT TIME!! GROW VERTICAL GARDENS IF YOU DONT HAVE THE SPACE! START NOW!SOLAR ENERGY,HAM RADIO,WATER!

AN ARMY IS ONLY AS STRONG AS ITS STOMACH! SPREAD THIS!

  • i cant wait to get back to south east texas

  • Wene wose this did this hapin befor kutreea or after?

  • this is why every one should have a survival backpack and make lists of your most important carry items. since hearing about katrina, and other disasters i am more prepared than ever, but i live in minnesota and our kits are more for cold weather survival and backpack incase the govt takes our homes or a financial hurricane.

  • OHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOO did you hear, peter griffin got a mustache

  • I'm a South Texan likewise. Not a lot of hurricanes get kicked our way. Claudette in '02 was the hardest hitting one we had.

I think we all have special chapters of the past that could never be remade again in the same likeness. I hope you can find good ways to honor those memories.

  • Those $80 Mosin Nagants and cheap spam cans of ammo are looking better & better. The working bolt gun you can dig up are better than the lazer sighted M16 the gov't confiscate.

  • @bigbadnewman implying they wont confiscate your mosins

  • @DaytonaRoadster

Not when a couple are coated in cosmoline, sealed in PVC plumbing pipe & buried in the woods along with four triple epoxy-coated spam cans of ammo:)

  • @bigbadnewman When it comes to confiscation, The Govt. will take all weapons and ANYONE that is there. You are more dangerous than your weapons.

  • @rickwurl

Good luck finding the stuff the good ol' boys have buried in the woods. There are so many AKs, Nagants and mausers (plus ammo!) buried in the forests of the USA there will be 'kalashnikov' bushes growing wild soon! LOL

  • god bless you all =]

  • I think there are hurricanes in Texas because there are no forrests in Texas

  • @ww2footage Oh, there aren't? I must not be in Texas then...

  • Sorry for your pain, man. Seen a lot of your other vids and i can tell you're a real good dude. Hope things have gotten better by now. We'll put a prayer in for ya.

  • Thanks for this video. This is a reminder that the TSHTF can happen at any time for any one of us. This world is just a temporary living arrangement.

  • thats a fucking shame man!

  • This reminds of that offspring song, The Kids Aren't Alright. This video is about more than just bad weather.

What happened? America has abandoned God's word.

  • To the gentleman in this video....I know the feeling you went through in your presentation. I could only think of the classic Beatles song, "In My Life".

  • A very sincere video. thanks.

  • Always a sincere take on the world by this gentleman. Very intelligent and a humble man. Need more like him. Sorry about your friends, it happens to all of us, more grateful each day for what I do have. Take care

  • My father was at the san luis hotel during huricane ike. which is right on the sea wall in galveston. Hes a cop for galveston city. That was a hell of a storm for everyone next to the coast even people inland got hit hard.

  • ya know, when ever my friends or family say we got to get out of Massachusetts its too cold, to expensive, too over populated etc......but.....we have no floods, no earth quakes, no tornados. I think I'll just stay put

  • It really does kind of suck to get older and see your friends and people you hung out with move away never to be seen again, or die, or end up in jail. I know you are getting kind of nostalgic here, I think we all do. Youth is a very special time in our lives even though we tend to take it for granted at the time. My advice is to try to look forward as much as possible, the carefree times of youth are gone but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the life that is left.

  • i agree, pray to God in those times to. live life to your fullest and keep positive

  • Wow. It kinda looks like America brought freedom to the area. As in it looks like a war zone.

  • I can see the pain in your face from the loss you feel for your friends. Everyone should have a friend who cares that much for them! This video is a perfect example of the reasoning behind prepairedness for natural disasters. Floods ,earthquakes, tidal waves, tornados, hurricanes, landslides all can and WILL happen in your area eventually. Do yourself a favor and prepair to take care of yourself and your lovedones now! Thanks Kevin for showing what can happen and the heartache it causes!

  • I agree that this would be a painfull time for those that lived there.

Nice thing for me is where I live, I don't have to worry about the natural disasters you mentioned.

But good point, better to be prepaired

  • Bridge City... wow small world I used to live in Roselawn in Pinehurst district of Orange, not but maybe 6 mile from where you are at in this video. Ike was truely awe inspiring I have a friend that lives in bridge city on the east end of town, in a little trailer park that didn't get any damage we didnt either thank God. Wal-Mart was completely flooded in Orange and Bridge city, but I know Bridge City was in real bad shape.

  • Hurricane's will hit you hard where you never thought they would. If you have ever been through a major one you will see a small example of what a post apocolypse scenario involves. People fighting over ice in the supermarket! Isabel in Virginia changed Hampton forever.

  • reminds me of hurricane charlie, what a year that was 4 hurricanes back to back

  • been to bride city they have the Rainbow Bridge

  • Thanks Kevin for a great video. It brought back many memories. Without flood insurance, my step-mom was unable to even attempt to rebuild. Plus she is almost 90 years old. She is in La with her daughter. Being that I am in Houston now, there is no way I could go back. My step-mom may get some FEMA money, Nobod is expecting it though.

  • I live in Hurrican Alley.

All I can say is, thank God we don't get friggin' earthquakes.

  • its funny because Theunknownknows talks about living in hurricane alley and he/she is scared of earthquakes, but i live on the west coast literally on the San Andres fault and earthquakes are like nothing to me but i would be absolutely terrified if i lived in hurricane alley!

  • Here's my reasoning. Hurricanes don't come up from the crust of the Earth at 2:46 AM. They take days or weeks to arrive. They can literally move less than a mile per hour.I can walk away from a hurricane and walk back in when it's over. And while I'm walking, the ground won't jump up and beat me to death.

  • My friend, earthquakes happen EVERYWHERE. Just go to the USGS website, and look at the place you live, see all the tectonic plaques...we must be ready for alldisasters...

    8-)

  • I know all about it. But it's a lot steadier, tectonically, than, say, New York, or really, most of the Eastern seaboard. Besides, in the event of a major seismic event, the mighty tsunami will wash me away quickly. I'm only about 6 feet above sea level ! LOL

  • tectonic plates, not plaques, thats the thing your principal gets if he has not been fired for 5 years

  • Its sad

  • That house really looked repairable, esp since its brick...maybe u can buy it pretty cheap and fix it up? Esp since u have childhood memories there?..it's a thought..cuz I know the city will not just let that house sit there long without fixing it. Hope that lady had some insurance on it. And its a blessing she was not still living there.

  • Well alot of people love living by the coastal areas, I would've loved it too but the real estate is high there, flood insurance is through the roof, and like u see here every year u have to go through hurricane season...is a good view really worth risking the lives of your family?...move inland...altho there are problems probably most places, wildfires, tornados, blizzards, storms, & such...is there a safe state? I dont know..

  • aww sad ur always welcome to west texas bring on the heat

  • I could tell you the truth is I dont think some areas are good to build homes or cities in. There a disaster waiting to happen. Maby not 5 years from now or maby not 50 years but sometime in hundred years they might be some disaster, and your ticket will come up and you'll lose everything you work so hard for. I move away from such an area.

  • your taking a negative and turning it into a positive by informing people to look to their futures. Live your life to the fullest now. Look to you and yours future now, not after...

  • very sad

  • yo dude it sux, but if you live down south near the coast this stuff happens alot

  • sad,but really everything in life happens for a reason in the end :) -even if u figure out why later

  • yeah i feel like if you can find cheap property there and are willing to deal with the issues there thats fine i just dont want to hear all this bitching and whining about losing your house and all. i used to live in an area prone to wild fires and almost lost everything so guess what? i moved the fuck away.

  • That's what smart people do.

  • Sometimes, you just can't move away....family, kids school, a good job, But yeah, you're right, don't build/buy an expensive home.....it won't make you happy, even if it stays standing your whole life.

  • My place was destroyed to but all you can do is stay strong.

  • It will happen again but it will be worse and will continue to happen over and over again.

  • life sucks, and then you die

  • im sorry for your lost kev stay strong mate god bless

  • Why do people stay in that area

    it will keep happening

  • i live in LA ,katrina fucked me, and im still here... I guess im just too stupid.

  • ike

  • this guy is awesome!!!!

  • Why aren't these people crying for a bailout and blaming the government for the hurricane?

  • uncalled for grow up

  • Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one. I still think the nigger did it.

  • 70s and WALKED AWAY>

?????? no fucking way!!!! LOL jk, crazy

  • Sorry to hear about your childhood friend. Stay strong.

  • thanks for the vid. this kind of tragedy can happen at any time.we need to stick together and help each other, like they used to do!!

  • Tough story brother. Thanks for sharing with us. I live in Colorado so I don't know about the hurricanes but I've seen friend's houses destroyed by wildfire and It's dang tough,

  • I bet you could buy the place cheap... if the house has too much damage burn it down clear the lot and resell

  • Thank you for doing a video on this as hard as it was for you.The 'National News' seems to omit a great deal.

  • It's one thing to suffer ourselves but it seems harder sometimes to see those that we loved or knew so well hurt and suffer so much loss.I sincerely hope things are better now.

  • Reminds me of the floods in Iowa. Still people affected with the flood and no house. It's sad. Things won't be the same. I hear ya.

  • Thats terrible, sorry hope the best for every one affected.

  • Yea when we were young evil stayed away....

we get older and it torments us, convinces us too do spiritually destructive things, attempts to take our very humanity. It will be a Glorious day indeed when that old serpent and his minions are placed in that pit...a good day indeed.

  • where did she move to in louisiana

  • this sucks kev, my soundcard shorted out and i cant here what yer sayin. i gotta get this fixed asap

  • Wish you the best! You have our prayers.

  • Man i hate to see you go through this.we're all praying for you and you family. make sure those trailers dont have any fameldahyde in them. you know those turds the "Rapepublicans" dont give a shit if you live on die.

  • I can see that some people think this could never happen to them ? Some people are making fun of others and some people are fighting back with comments. We are about to be visited by the hardest times in living memory I pray to god that good men and women are granted the strength and courage to hold our families together , protect our old and our young and see it through to better times. I wish us all well and safe passage.

  • Nice to see that you are doing well. BTW how did you get the advertising banner over your vid's?

  • Become a Youtube partner.

  • all you have to do is pay them an amount per month or somthing and they advert it.

  • Great to see you back again. I think we all were a little worried about you, great to see you are ok. You do a great job on your videos. Keep up the good work!

  • lol it was like a soft moment then he goes FRIGGIN SKEETER!!!

  • I wish you the best, good to see you back and take care hun.

  • An example of how fast life can go down the tubes.

  • vad numai locuri de kkt sunt si pe la voi asa ceva au locuit acolo oameni ? acu nu mai sunt ast_i sigur

  • very sad. its good to see ypu back nonetheless.

    Thanks

  • You, and the rest of Bridge City, have my sipathies my friend.

  • my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours

  • sorry about your friends house and family good vid makes people think about how much people miss.

  • Good video Kev. It's sad to see, and it gives one a lot to think about.

As time goes, things change. The great times you've had become fond memories. Sometimes you'd like to go back to those times, and the cold realization that you can't hurts.

    Again, great vid.

  • 2012 pole shift, galactic alignment, entering the dark rift. Prepare so that you might survive.

  • It's nice to see you use your forum to bring attention to our area. Ike and rita both caused serious damage and get little media coverage. anyway glad to see you are ok we had not seen a vid from you in a while.

  • Sad but to be expected living in a hurricane zone. After going through 4 in 2004. I moved back home way up north, and said that is enough. I know my chances in deep snow. You just don't in a hurricane. Never again.

  • Thus I never live on coasts or low areas, I live in the mountains.

  • damn

  • damn hurricanes looks like a real pain in the ass!

  • Happens all over the place. When seniors lose their home, they sometimes just walk away. They probably moved in theirn 20s, 30s. They live there for decades. House has decades worth of memories and work put into it. Their kids have gone. They just don't have the time to wait for the house to be rebuilt and piece together what was lost. They're old. One day they are fine and the next day they can't walk, see, or move very well. Might as well just take the insurance money and get a condo.

  • Hey Kevin. The old addage "you don't realize just how much you liked something until it is gone" i'm certain does NOT apply to you and your loss. However, it does hold true for those of us who have come to enjoy watching your videos on a regular basis.

  • Kev didn't lose his brother..how did someone get that out of the vid? Maybe they "bros" but not blood.

  • dude wtf is wrong nobody gives a fuck bout there yard when they lost like over 100k of stuff wicht sometimes happends

  • this was after a hurricane man, wtf?

  • good lord its amazing how ignorant you are. are you 11?

  • Chewbacca121314 - how about a little respect? The lady that owns that house is around 80 years old, her children have moved away and she had no flood insurance. Why dont you go to her house and clean it up for her?

  • Chewbacca121314 - thank you for your input on this thread, but your conduct is unexcusable. You have been blocked from posting anything else on any of my videos.

  • owned.

  • the real chewbacca would pull your arms out of your sockets and beat you to death with them..

  • im with you man...keep ur head high

  • sorry for your loss brother, wishing the best for you and yours.

  • I am sorry for your loss. I don't know exactly how you feel but I know how it feels to lose someone. My brother died in a car accident last year. I don't mean to take attention off of you, just letting you know I can empathize. Try to salvage any memories and any article or picture you might have of them. It will get tough in the next year. God bless.

  • Man, those acts of God really stick it in and break it off.

  • I'm sorry for your loss there in TX. We had a tornado this summer rip thru 2 town's. Children were killed and houses were torn right off there foundation's. God speed your recovery.

  • Well, Im glad to see your still alive. But Im sorry you lost your friends. God Bless man.

  • Sorry about all that mate. Over here in Manchester, UK, we never have or hear about anything like that. I never realised that it was that bad. But, I too have been waiting for a video off you for a while, I'm a subscriber too! All the best, Adam.

  • Man...

  • sorry for you and all others losses and i wish you the best

  • I have been looking forward to more video's from you Kev. This video of yours does what the "real" press in this country fail to do - report whats happening. Most of the country does not get to hear about the ongoing aftermath of Ike anymore, the national press do not report it now - which is disgusting. Thankfully we have people who actually care, like Kev, who can get the word out and bypass the mainstream "press" whos attention span is crap. Thanks Kev.

  • Lots of big worded comments.

And sorry for your brother and the other that was on drugs

  • TRUTH Those days were gone a long time ago. Enjoy what memories you have and move on.What was WAS. What is IS. Prepare for whats to come. Its better to have had and lost, then to never had it at all. Take the good, leave the bad, and move foward. I love your vids. I don't allways agree with the content. I respect your compassion and caring and willingness to help your fellow man to learn what we all need to know from the start!! To Survive. Thanks for sharing your compassion, respect, and wisdom.

  • damn

  • Why wouldn't she at least sell it, not just abandon it. Even if just the land is worth something.

  • I have been trying to let go of everything around me as a preparation for what lies ahead. Get your grieving done now, before things get worse and you won't find yourself paralyzed with emotion when it counts. While others are dumbstruck and vulnerable, you will be active and focused on survival and executing the next step of your plan. The mind is the best tool, so train it for success.

  • Good comment. Right on - lets get on with the change, it's coming.

  • First, great to hear from you, Kevin. Second, I feel you loss, but remember one thing. The tough, painful times in life do serve a purpose, even if we don't feel like they do. They give a point to measure the good times against, therefor we can in truth see how good those times are and fully appreciate them. Every time I go back to Boston, I feel the same way, but I remember, life marches on, and I have been blessed many times over since moving to FLA. Keep the faith, brother. Peace.

  • Hang tough Kev

  • Good to hear from you, Stay Strong.

  • Bless you all... :(

  • It's good to hear from you agian, hang in there.

  • Nothing remains the same forever in this life.

  • Hey Kevin, hang in there buddy. This is one of the facets of "surviving" for which there is no real preparation and is what causes many people to simply give up. Thanks for sharing.

  • Pretty heart rending. Loss is hard to deal with. And hard to understand for those who have not yet delt with it.

  • Kevin, time heals all wounds. Unfortunately we are in for a lot worse in the years ahead. Stay strong and hang in there. Thanks for posting!

  • back in the day man. crazy to think back. sad to see all that damage. i guess just be happy the ones who made it, actually made it through alive.

  • Its good too see some emotion

I'd be Cultivating that Land helping people Clean mud out of their houses, until I starved or sombody shot me in the face for claiming squatters rights on some empty house.

Which would happen first do you think?

Everytime I see a distaster like that I think wow OPPERTUNITY, to be Human. Thank you IKE you blew the System Away, too bad the corperation moves faster than most men, we would've had a chance to re-colonised that place already.

  • i feel ya man there are good time and bad times

  • This is why i live in arizona.

  • People bitch when they are forced from their homes b/c a storm is on it's way, and were the same people that biched b/c they were left in it. You can't reason w/ these retards.

  • To BABIEBABIE7, the people that lost anything, be it lives, items, houses.... in N.O. are retards. You got a radio or a t.v.! You can see a wicked storm is on it's way, but do nothin' but blame Bush for it, then when it hits you, you scurry up to your roof and wait for his help. Loser. Just a loser.

  • truly sad

  • I see you are dealing with some ghosts, hang in there.

  • I Grew up there too and grad. also. I'm 23 I grad. in 2003 my mother and grandma and uncle lost there homes too. One of my great aunts lives were you are in this vid. She also lost everything. I have a hard time going back there too help my family and friends. I just couldn't believe what I was seeing and Bridge City will never be the same but they will rebuild. I hope?

  • I have talked to a lot of people that said that they were just going to leave. But all of my family will stay and rebuild I think they should and so should other and for the most part people will. I could tell by your tone and look that you feel the way that I feel and... well... how everyone feels. But In due time this will be a thing of the past.

  • When I saw your title I just knew that this would be a vid about This event , and I found myself not wanting to even watch it Just because of the pain that it brings me. But I was a good vid And I really appreciate it. And also your other vid as well. God Bless

  • this is a travesty while we need to get our own taken care of all our Government is concerned with is filling their pockets with our tax dollars the bailouts are not going to the people that need it again we get shited on.

  • It's been a while. I see why. There is nothing anyone can say to relieve that kind of pain. Kevin have you taken a drive to places that have not bee affected by the storm? That is what I had to do after Katrina I had to get away to see folks doing their thing like nothing ever happened the way we all might be in 10 years or so. At least you had friends like that my friends got too sucessful to talk to me I am the same they are trying to look like nothing is everwrong but we know everybody hurts.

  • Our govt. is too busy trying to take over the world via the NWO...screw the people of the U.S. They won't help the people in this country, but they'll spend billions of dollars in Iraq...and they hate us in Iraq, and want us gone! It's so disgusting! This reminds me of New Orleans...the people are still struggling there. It's just a rotten shame...
