all the mainstream rappers get rich and move out the hood. lecrae has enough guts to stay in the hood and preach the gospel that to me is a real man. knowing that he can stay out of danger but yet still lives in the community to serve God. that just really speaks to me.

i am a christian too and have been the majority of my life. i practice matial arts and have met chritians who believe it is wrong. but we forget about people like david, joshua, and abraham who were warriors for the Lord. They mastered many weapons and fought manywars but this never changed their relationship with God.

@africasown it is of course how you go about resolving conflict. if it can be solved peacefully or call the police then yeah. but if you can't i dont think it would be pretty Christian to leave someone in need just to avoid being violent. For example sex is not evil if it is done according to Gods plan. used outside his plan it becomes adultery and lust. some would say thay someone who kills is going to hell. if that was the case all our troops should give up on christianity. in the same context some would say all rap music is evil. outside of Gods plan it is. but under Gods authority it can be used to certain people.

I can say I have seen Lecrae in concert and I have never seen such a powerful music ministry. The passion he has for Jesus really shows when he is rapping. I used to hate Christian rap because it's always really cheesy but Lecrae, Tedashii, Trip Lee and these guys are different. They seriously rap scripture sometimes and it's so legit. Paul made himself able to relate to every people group for the sake of the Gospel. "To the Jews, I became like a Jew, to win the Jews". Christian Rap is necessary
