  • maybe this is how God wanted it, but i feel he shouldnt have started with those opening statements there lyk the guy below said should of had some street smart mentality to it, but hey God won't always deliver the message the way u want it..

get over it bro stuff happens

  • youch

  • Hail the gods and goddesses...

  • godless bastards

  • Too bad they didn't arrest you for public nuisance.

  • Honestly..this catt is not street smart! generalize Christians if you want but his message was sloppy 4 real..when your on a box preaching you have to keep it simple...A lot of people wouldnt agree with his opening frases either..but you have to give it up cause he wasnt a punk and posted it up so other people won´t make the same mistakes..

  • You're right; wrong is subjective. But when we are raised in a nation with very evident regulations, as well as a place founded on the 10 commandments, wrong isnt exactly so subjective. I will admit that he could have handled the situation in a more proper manner, but proper is subjective as well. Saying that wrong is subjective is implying that anyone can go around and do whatever they want, without consequences; however, thats not the case.

  • You're telling me that THAT crowd is educated? Lol. Which ones were educated that responded to him? The tall black guy that had nothing to say but obscenities, or the woman whose only "well-educated" response was to blow a whistle until she could no longer? Will you please explain to me who was more educated? You can look up how the words is defined, if you feel it necessary. They were only getting offended because not many people know how to respond to being told theyre doing something wrong.

  • Approaching people this way only has two outcomes, one good where everyone in the crowd accepts what the preacher is saying (which is unlikely) or, people will reject what he is preaching and want him to leave them to their peace. There are many other choices than just having a hissy-fit that the people that you are screaming at about something that they didn't ask you to are mad. Some people, like me, are happy with their life and don't want some crazy standing on a box to yelling at me.

  • A preacher stands in mainly the same area. People are free to leave the area. Freedom of speech, friend.

Those people stand there because in their soul they want to hear this message of Christ because it is the way.

They cheer when people shut the preacher down, because in their hardened hearts they have rejected the message of life.

Why people would get so upset over a message of redemption is simple. Haters abound. One man causing such a stir? Think about it.

    Haters=children of satan

  • Nope. Actually, people are standing there because there is a line to get in to the event, not because their souls want to hear what he has to say.

Let's use some logic for a second, not magical thinking, which you christians are famous for.

By your own beliefs, if they are the children of satan, then their souls belong to satan and they would want to hear him instead, which would contradict your own understanding to why they are standing in one place in the first place. You are truly a sheep.

  • By my own beliefs?

So now you know as much about what I believe as I do? Fairly unintelligent of you.

Why don't we talk evolution so I can listen to you get all serious about how we are just modded monkeys that originally formed from an amoeba.

Choose your fantasy, buckwheat, I chose mine.:)

  • LOL...I don't believe in the current model of evolution. So now you pretend to understand my beliefs? Typical two-faced christian.

Hey, by the way, did you know that no part of the bible was written while your christ was alive. Hey, by the way, did you know the christ derives from the Latin word meaning to anoint with oil and was a common nick name for newborns at the time.

Get the facts, there's a reason the gnostic gospels aren't in your copy of the "Holy Bible." You are a sheep.

  • love the rubber duck sound effect

  • "We got children in the audience"

So what your excuse Mr. preacher?

There isn't a single word that you said that any child ought to hear.

As if any child can digest any of the religious voodoo you're spewing all over this crowd.

Btw, if you have young kids yourself are they capitalists or more toward the socialist side? Who did your kids vote for? Nobody? And why is that?

I bet they're fearful of burning in hell though...

    Despicable.

  • Well, aren't you just precious, mikkala.

  • Wow, tough crowd. i've been heckled before while street preaching but never to that extent. good job though. keep up the good work

  • when things go wrong ,,thats when preaching is effective,,,,

    people must stop sinning

or they will go to hell

  • I think part of it was, it seemed to mix politics with spiritual matters. I don't think the reason for being saved is to "make the country better" and, I think alot of folks resent the mixing of "religion and politics" ...after all we had slavery in US history---where was the "religion" of the "founding fathers" then?

BUT having said that, I admire your courage in getting out there. I'm a woman and I actually did street witnessing once in a VERY rough area of Los Angeles once. Bless you

  • That's when you know judgement is really right around the corner preacher, when the heathen won't even let you preach the gospel. Hard hearts that can not be changed must be dealt with via the Lord and his justice. Bless your heart for trying through.

  • "Hard hearts that can not be changed must be dealt with via the Lord and his justice."

That's why you have to brainwash them while they're still kids so their "hearts" will be nice and soft (brains too) That way when they grow up they won't need to think for themselves and thet'll just accept whatever drivel any authority figure tells them to.

You're right though it's hard to convince someone of a fantasy if they know how to think for themself already. Kids are alot easier.

  • The reason you can't reach the crowds anymore, is because people are thinking, becoming educated, and are catching the double talk..

    They're not afraid anymore.

    Not superstitious anymore.

    They're speaking their mind.

    People are no longer gullible.

It's too bad for the preachers.

    I suggest a career change.

  • I wish all those people would have started singing the song by the Beatles called Imagine. Imagine theres no heaven, it's easy if you try, no hell below us, above us only sky, imagine all the people living for today. What a great way that would be to discourage his message of comdemnation.

  • hey, lets finish the song!!!

"imagine no hope from ourselves!.... imagine flying off into oblivion!...... imagine nothing matters at all!.......... imagine no such thing aaaaaaas looooooove!....

  • The gospel message is a message of REAL HOPE not the false liberal hope. Obama means politics as usual whereas Jesus means eternal life. Big difference.

  • BTW Imagine is NOT by the Beatles.

  • He makes the comment: "You think you have no sin in your life, examine your heart. If you think that you haven't lied at anytime in your life." This statement doesn't include him in the equation. He thinks himself better than the masses that he is "preaching" to. His statements are not born of love and peace. His statements are assumsual and presume that all that are listening are "less than" he. He is judging others in his heart. This guy is very judgmental and wrong.

  • No he's making it clear that those who refuse to accept the gospel won't get into heaven on their own righteousness as none are righteous on their own.

  • um dude, everbodies got free speech, just like you do, also if you knew what this guy was like and if you realized this crowd was "unruly" (As in not interested most like) why couldnt you have been the bigger man and just walk away from it? it wouldve done you and your faith best, now theres just another reason (for sane people) to dislike you and your faith

  • It would be one thing for someone to come to your church and heckle you. That would be wrong. But you have come to their space when they were just standing in line. If you have the right to preach, he has the right to speak as well. And the woman had the right to blow her whistle. It's good the policeman came along before someone ran over you for standing in the middle of the road.

  • Ohhhh. He should not have yelled at him....

  • keep preaching!!

  • To stop these preachers? There is the book of counter-evangelism.

  • Go for it. Any kind of persecution just makes Christians stronger

  • Hahahahaha Persecution you say? Nope not quite. You see, You are thinking that I will use the characteristics of a hammer on your "anvil" (the delusion). I teach how to use the characteristics of a lever to move an obstacle.

In other words, If you read the book I wrote, you would be foolish enough to not even think it's a threat. But in it, lies it's subtlety.

  • :)

    Praise God for your boldness.

Thank you for being so honest, I'm 17 and am getting ready to start OAing at campus. Like war, realizing things go wrong is all part of the training. :)

  • Hoorah for the heckler.

  • Toby, what amazing courage and love you have to do what you do.

  • 1.Keep sharing. I love Ray Comfort, but the word of God cuts like a knife and it may be quicker. I haven't 'open-aired' but I do street witness sometimes. I used to use the wotm approach but find the Spirit seems to take over and He gives me scriptures.

Thanks for putting out such and honest video. It takes alot of courage to share these moments. Here's one! My husband was sharing the gospel with a homeless man and gave him some cheese burgers. He began by asking the man...

  • 2.'If you die tonight do you know where you will go-heaven or hell.' The man said 'no' and my husband preceded. Later husband got to the part about us all dying 'some-day' and the man said in a VERY relieved way 'WOW, you mean the cheeseburgers weren't poisoned? I thought you had put something in them!!" KEY LESSON LEARNED: Don't give a homeless man food and then ask him 'if you die tonight do you know where you'll spend eternity'! God bless you as you do his work! Be encouraged Lamb :)

  • Thanks for video :)

  • I see christians use the "founding fathers" argument all the time and it's simply a lie. The USA was founded on seperation of church from state. This seperation is not just a part of our government, it is an integral part of freedom and liberty.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"

First Amendment implies complete separation, because separating church and state is what allows religious liberty to exist.

  • I believe the raving gentleman in this video blew up mostly because you didn't address his points, and you condesendingly took ownership of the crowd. I would have been angry too.

  • Maybe you would do well to actually look up the seperation of church and state. It was used to stop the Church from charging people 10% fee for tithe and offering! Had nothing to do w/ what your saying. As a matter of fact, we have so many letters from the founding fathers bring'n the christian religion into the goverment it was unreal. Read the writings of John Adams for crying out loud. He writes to his wife saying he cried when they held prayer in congress the first time. Learn beforeu speak

  • Some of the founding fathers were christian, many, like Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, James Madison werent. evaluate your concept of civil liberty. Freedom of religion, and consequently freedom from religion is one of the most profound differences between the USA and islamic theocratic countries like Iran. Contrary to what you might want to believe, there was never an established religion in the USA, nor will there ever be. Read the first amendment before you speak.

  • I still maintain that your wrong! Start reading American history, of course there was no estabolihed religion. I agree. Thats what made our country so powerful, it was puritans quakers presbyterians and the so forth all gathering together and bringing forth a country under God. The First amendment states, freedom of religion, not goverments free of religion, get ur facts right!

  • the constitution also states that religion and government shall be seperated

considering the two have nothing to do with eachother (well save that its easy for governments to use religion to control their populace better)

and also the "freedom of religion" refers to the populace, not the government

  • i would like to know where in the constitution that it states that, maybe laws might state that but i have yet to see it in the constitution. im not sure what the comment was in response to for it has been a long while since i wrote anything

  • im not sure, i dont know it by heart, anyway, if you know anything about constitutions (and human rights as established by the UN for that matter) youd know its a commen right and in there somewhere

  • well their are illegal laws out their that if the Constitution was taken seriously would be diminished. anything that hinders the freedom of speech, freedom of religion or freedom of the press automatically is to be done away with, it becomes void. That is your first amendment right. Actually, the only thing that declares church separate from state is a letter from Thomas Jefferson to a Church i believe in philidelphia charging Tithe as tax

  • um, a law thats clearly illigal wont get passed, remember parliament (capitol hill for americans i believe) has to pass it with a clear majority (75% or more in europe)

oh and the practises of early continental policy show a seperation aswell, as is obvious from jeffersons letter

added to that is that america had to incorporate all people of all creeds living within its borders

and as america (especially at the time) harboured various major religions as well as cults from europe ...

  • Not in the constitution but thanks for trying.

  • as a matter of fact i know church and state are seperate, because i know the american constitution is based on all the european constitution, save that america was to have greater freedom

every single european country had seperated church and country

also if america had legally combined church and state, why do we hear nothing of a state church? surely it wouldve have been mentionend in the 200 odd years america is old

  • Funny this separation was not mentioned in the Constitution, and that every State Constitution and the Declaration of Independence clearly state we are created by God. That doesn't mean Allah, Krishna, Buddha, Joseph Smith, etc. It means Jehovah Elohim, the Christian God. This is no secret hidden under a rock but common knowledge.

  • are you kidding me? if what you say is true, then how come all the references to god on say, the dollar bills and the pledge where added mid to late last century, rather than at the first possible moment?

the very fact that the founding fathers have neglected to add anything religious to official documents and/or political "rituals" shows that at the very least they wanted to keep religion out of government

which makes sense as the founding fathers wanted a nation where everyone was truly free

  • Incorrect. Check your facts.

  • This is what the FIRST AMENDMENT SAYS. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"

This sentence says 2 things: A. Congress will make no law respecting an establishment of religion.

    B. Congress will make no law prohibiting the free exercise of religion.

  • Part A means that church and state are seperate. No laws should cater to a particular religion. This NECESSARILY means that God and religion STAY OUT of govermnent.

    It's NOT hard to understand.

Part B says that no laws can be created that prevent the free expression of religion. This part could not logically work without part A. Suppose congress makes wine illegal, because it is a sin (islam). Then, it would be illegal to take the catholic holy communion. This is just an example.

  • I agree with everything you say, but there is a bent and always has been to the Christian God and always will be. The founding fathers made it clear as well as all the State Constitutions that our nation and all the individual states are under one

God, and that has always been the Christian God.

  • Also if God doesn't belong in government, why has EVERY president's inaugural address invoked the name of God from Washington right up to Obama the Chosen One? And why does a taxpayer paid Christian chaplain open EVERY session of Congress with a Christian prayer since 1789?

  • Wrong on all three counts:

"Religion is the basis and Foundation of Government.... We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We have staked the future of all of our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self government; upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God."

    James Madison

    June 20, 1785

  • "Here is my Creed: I believe in one God, Creator of the Universe. That he governs it by Providence. That he ought to be worshiped. That the most acceptable Service we render to him is doing good to his other Children. That the soul of Man is immortal and will be treated with Justice in another Life respecting its conduct in in this. These I take to be the fundamental Principles of all sound Religion, and I regard them as you do in whatever sect I meet with them."

    Benjamin Franklin

    March 9, 1790

  • "God who gave us life gave us liberty. Can the liberties of a nation be secure when we have removed a conviction that these liberties are the gift of God? Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that his justice cannot sleep forever."

Thomas Jefferson (inscribed on the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C.)

  • Congress should not establish a religion, and enforce the legal observation of it by law, nor compel men to worship God in any Manner contrary to their conscience.

-- James Madison, Annals of Congress 730 (August 15, 1789),

  • You're confusing freedom OF religion with freedom FROM religion. Big difference.

  • Wrong. There is only a small difference. I have previously shown that freedom OF religion cannot exist without freedom FROM religion, a comment about which you said you agreed. It's right there in the first amendment. Read it again.

  • "Religion is the basis and Foundation of Government.... We have staked the whole future of American...

no such quote has ever been found among any of James Madison's writings.

  • "But the source to which I look or the aids which alone can supply my deficiencies is in the well-tried intelligence and virtue of my fellow-citizens, and in the counsels of those representing them in the other departments associated in the care of the national interests. In these my confidence will under every difficulty be best placed, next to that which we have all been encouraged to feel in the guardianship and guidance of that Almighty Being..."

  • "...whose power regulates the destiny of nations, whose blessings have been so conspicuously dispensed to this rising Republic, and to whom we are bound to address our devout gratitude for the past, as well as our fervent supplications and best hopes for the future."

    Madison's Inaugural Speech

    Saturday, March 4, 1809

  • In 1812, President Madison signed a federal bill which economically aided the Bible Society of Philadelphia in its goal of the mass distribution of the Bible. An Act for the relief of the Bible Society of Philadelphia Approved February 2, 1813 by Congress

On April 20, 1816, Congress also approved relief for the Baltimore and Massachusetts Bible Societies!

  • Worship a man? Worship the one and only God. This is an off-topic comment.

  • then this is an off topic reply: how about neither is worshipped?

  • god id give anything to see those demons of a crowd you had to burn in hell

  • nutcase, who is to say they were demons? they excircised the same right he did, last time i checked that was allowed, seeing the USA is the land of the free and all

ow and your religion isnt everything, as a matter of fact its but a teeny tiny part of what we call OUR world and by our i mean the human race

its a pity to see our race divided by something as obselete as religion

  • maxxwewell, he has ears, let him hear. Who really is ignorant - the person who is unwilling to listen? It's funny to hear people talk about 'tolerance' who cannot tolerate Christians. Pitty.

  • Unfortunately, my friend, the path is much too narrow for the likes of you. How's that for a truth you don't want to hear?

  • Religion = willful ignorance

    The end.

  • very true my friend my god praise you

  • Hey Maxxewell, You Wrote:"IF we want or care to learn your silly "truths" we know where to go."

My Question to you is: What is Truth?

  • What you people need to understand is those of us that don't believe KNOW where the churches are. IF we want or care to learn your silly "truths" we know where to go. Running off your mouths only makes you look insane. You act like you are talking the truth yet, what you are spewing is only what you THINK is the truth, what your parents brought you up to believe is the truth. Wishful thinking at BEST! Stop harassing people in public! We are entitled to OUR beliefs...so shut up!

  • beloved brother in Jesus - I saw NOTHING wrong with what you did, you did things perfectly (for a liberal crowd) take heart, they hated you and great is your reward in heaven, i do believe i heard some crazy nut like yourself at a john kerry gathering a few years back - seeds planted will always take root and His word will NOT return unto Him void :-)

  • Take note of their shameful reactions. Void of faith and love. This is the world today my friends. Be alert and diligent for Satan roams the earth as a lion looking for some one to devour. Satan might have been in the crowd that day but our God Reigns Forever Supreme!

  • Every non-Christian is void of faith and love?

  • Did my statement relay that? It was general. It goes both ways. Even Christians can be void of faith and love...

  • Well you guys are psycos lol if you were under the law you guys sinned the most. But we are under grace.Nothing can go wrong with God.

  • Wonder why they were so angy at you? This must have been similar to how the mob reacted to the crucifiction of Jesus. Some things never change.

  • . We need to be honest with ourselves. If the world wants us to be fair, they have to be fair. Tom cruise gets to talk and promote scientology, others promote Allah and some celebs even promote Kabbalah... But Christians who hurt no one are the enemy....Unbelievablable... To The Faithful: KEEP IT U for the time is near. Christ will come whether we want to or not. Thanks

  • overwhelmed with the greed and money because of the advertising of glamour. If i am lying please tell me im lying, but i truely believe sometimes we fool and blind ourselves to whats really truth. I dont believe in FORCING religion on ANYONE, but the little time we Christians get to tell a different side to this life, Let us do it and who ever has an ear and WANTS to hear let him/her hear...

  • Wow, I must say that you did the best you could do. but watching this clip was a strong reminder that Satan has his army present as soon as a vessel of God wants to give the truth of salvation. that was really a "Tough Crowd", and very few were willing to even look your way. Fierce is this battle but few are the laborers. Its just really depressing at times to live in a world Totally shut off when it comes to God. God Bless You and Im Praying for The Ministry God has appointed you to.

  • Many times I don't know what to say when confronted by such irrational and angry people. You're very brave. God bless you.

  • Keep the Word of God in your heart and just speak the Word of God. You can't go wrong there! :)
