airlines were cheap back when they were being made though. they were regarded as crap back then since they're made of plastic. also, some company started making airline re-issues a few years back. chill out and do your homework before you go freaking out on people.

they're made of reso-glass,not plastic.The company is eastwood guitars who do the re-issues.Now since Jack White made them famous, a lot of the original airline guitars are big collectors pieces and go for big bucks.

jack has admitted that his airline is cheap and has held together poorly, he says thats why he likes it because its harder to play and keeps him on his toes

There's an interview where he talks about wanting the WS live shows to have an air of uncertainty so I suppose the Airline adds to that. Also it's a part of their minimalist style, seeing what all is possible to do within the confines of a certain box instead of just using everything available.
