Yeah but I think youtube needs to take the 'mark comment as spam' off because people abuse it. I go through video comments a lot and someones comment will be marked as spam for no reason. Then I have to unmark them when I see them and it's annoying.

I am so GODDAMN sick of spam. I know of one account that has already spammed his way to the top, and has even asked for donations from users. He laughed at us when we told him to stop spamming, replying that he actually got 6 more subscribers in doing so. I would so love to pull him down by the ankle and have his face hit each and every rung of the metaphorical ladder.
Good video, I only wish that there was a permanent solution to remove these spammers like carriecarrie02 and others like her who seem to have no life but to live to spam and be a general nuisanse to youutube and society in general.

I agree that many ppl see spam as a way to gain attention, whether positive or negative. I used to spam just to piss people off. But I promise not to spam again.

alexvita: Appreciate the comment. Ya, one of my main foci(?) is compressing content as much as possible. It always starts as like 10, but I try to compress into 4-5min. That way people can view more vids. This was a little longer because I wanted to preserve the entire Rage song.
I don't go to thefeatured section on the videos. I sub to over 50 people and add a few more every week. I watch those on my friend list then go to my subs. I don't like the spammers in the comments of the vids I watch and if people started spamming my vids I would delete them.
It's interesting to see how people actually surf through content here on youTube. But now that they fixed the subscriptions, that's helps a bunch. I just like to see ways for people with new talent in a particular category to gain the chance for recognition.

Excellent video. I now feel guilty to think I demonstrated how to spam a video to top of Most Discussed back in Feb/March. Ooops. My current strategy to overcome this is for us all to push videos we genuinely admire further up, with genuine comments. And maybe use obvious self-spamming as grounds for flagging a video?

I don't go to thefeatured section on the videos. I sub to over 50 people and add a few more every week. I watch those on my friend list then go to my subs. I don't like the spammers in the comments of the vids I watch and if people started spamming my vids I would delete them.

Excellent video. I now feel guilty to think I demonstrated how to spam a video to top of Most Discussed back in Feb/March. Ooops. My current strategy to overcome this is for us all to push videos we genuinely admire further up, with genuine comments. And maybe use obvious self-spamming as grounds for flagging a video?
