  • Rock and Heavy Metal is my life.

  • this and black rain are the only albums from the ozzman i dont really like

  • UHHH STEVE VAI !!'

  • Amazing song by Ozzy.

  • I have to say George Althaus is a mirrored image profile of my sister Elizabeth including in mood attitude...lolol..

  • a good dj friend of mine turned me on to this song when my son and daughter-in-law were killed in a car crash. very heartfelt thanks to medman. helped get me through many sleepless nights.

  • Stevie Vai

  • by the way, this song is written by Steve Vai and Ozzy, sitars and guitars by Zakkk, did you knew?

  • you can really reeaaally here vai in this

  • for you morons commenting....Black Sabbath's producer was Sharon's father...they've known each other for many more years than they have been together or working together....DUH!

  • my dad said this my lil brothers song i understand now why this song means so much to them it make you stop and think about life and how its there then its gone

  • who is the lead guitar? steve?

  • This song was the first song I heard when i brought my now 13 year old son home from the hospital when he was born. Puts a tear in my eye every time I hear it!

  • Honestly.. Zakk ruined the solo. You can tell it's note for note what Steve wrote because of the note choices. It does not have Vai's smoothness and feel though. Either Steve play his solo or write your own shit Zakk.

  • Steve Vai >>>>>>>>>> Zakk Wylde. No Contest.

  • long live the mesage ,,,,and well to be done to the messanger,,,

  • This song was penned by Vai however Zakk Wylde rejoined Ozzy during the recording sessions for Ozzmosis so instead of letting Steve record them, Ozz opted to have Zakk play his parts instead. Steve Vais Wikipedia explains the whole story.

  • Stevie Vai, Geezer Butler, Deem Castronovo, and Ozzy!

  • its SO OBVIOUS that it's zakk wylde playing vai's part. listen to that tone, def. marshalls and a thicker guitar. the vibrato totally matches wylde, and he's using a heavy chorus (wylde trademark) i dont think i've ever heard vai use a chorus effect for a solo.

  • Vai sounds very tame on this track.

  • @Hertsman50 its becasue its not vai's recording, its wylde playing what vai wrote.

  • @MrMeist thanks I didn't know that it was Wylde playing on this track.

  • STEVE VAI!

  • it's always amazing to hear something by Ozzy that is actually beautiful. I love his music, but most of it isn't very musical. This is.

  • Zakk Wylde actually does play on this song, Steve Vai has just co-written it.

  • @MrDubson12 it was vai, im sure, check at the wikipedia

  • Awsome video, reminds me of my son,who i love very much.

  • wow what i coincidence i lovee my son to

  • how does the VIDEO remind you of your son?

  • @cvbx21346

    me to :(

  • i think of my dad when i here this because he died

  • me too

  • its Vai on this song, Zakk replaced his guitar part on every song on this album, but this song was not published on the album and its vai playing.

  • who is the guitarist on this?

  • awesome how a father is supposed to feel about his son!!! unlike my asshole so called father whos nothing but a joke!!

  • @wickedmountain. your daddy does not love you because you touch yourself at night....thought you should know

  • it is not important who this song is for..

the most important is how wonderful it sounds !

  • Steve Vai help Ozzy to write this song

  • this song was about me about a month before he died when i was 6

  • fuckin good song!

  • Ozzy is the best Dude.

  • i danced with my son at his wedding to this song May 29,2009. Beautiful!!!

  • feat. Master Steve Vai on the guitar :D

  • "My Little Man" is a song off the 1995 album Ozzmosis by Heavy metal musician Ozzy Osbourne. This is the only song from the collaboration of Ozzy and Steve Vai. However, Vai did not actually play in the recording. All guitars were played by Zakk Wylde. The song's about Ozzy Osbourne's son, Jack Osbourne[citation needed], who at the time was ten years old.

    from wikipedia

  • @oleyullah Actually Steve is not on this song. Zakk Done all the parts-(Which Steve wrote) Kinda shitty..I know i am a little behind on the post.lol

  • @oleyullah zakk Wylde played Guitar on this song.

this is the only song Vai didn`t play on from the album. However he co-wrote the song

  • @oleyullah zakk Wylde played Guitar on this song.

this is . However he co-wrote the song

  • @oleyullah Wrong! Written by Ozzy & Vai but all the guitar is played by Zack Wylde!

  • @oleyullah

Actually, Mr. Vai cowrote this song with Ozzy but it was Mr. Wylde who did the recording.

  • @vivasoberania why mr

  • My little Man is leaving for Boot Camp in the Army today so this is our song for him. We`ll miss him so much.

  • so aimee and jack had a song written for them, what about kelly?

  • Kelly And Ozzy Do A Song Together Its An Old Black Sabbath Song Called "Changes" And Ozzy And Kelly Play That Together So Yeah Thats Kellys Song

  • yea i knew about changes, but i mean like a song directed towards kelly. Thank you for replying :)

  • sabbath came around in the the late 60's, early 70's, he wasent married to sharon yet, so how could she do the song with ozzy?

  • No We Mean An Old Black Sabbath Song One Of There Hit Songs "Changes" Made Before Ozzy And Sharon Ever Met Yes But Now Ozzy And Kelly Play The Song Together In The Persent....

    Now Do You Get It?

  • @OsbourneTheDevil ozzy has a son from his first marriage(before sharon)so this song could also be about that boy.

  • @piratej03 In his autobiography(awsome book, and I highly recomend it) Ozzy says this song was written for Jack.

  • @irishangel707 yes what about kelly? however he did changes with her so what about his other son Lois?

  • @irishangel707 ahh What about Jesicca and LOUIS? he have other kids you know

  • I sing this to my son

  • seattle style ozzy song!

  • ohh this brings back memorise thanks man

  • orrrrrrrrrrrr thanks you for your time on doing this song

  • the only reason im not subscribing is because you put all those tags...

  • tags?

  • read the description

he put all the extra artists so someone who wasn't even searching for this song gets this song like a little sleezy shit shit

  • i get it thanks

  • I knew Vai had written a song with Ozzy at one time but was umaware it was this one. After listenig to the guitar solo I thought Zakk sure sounds like Vai on this. Turns out this was the song Vai and Ozzy had collaborated on together.

  • lonestar225: do you think that Zakk just copied Vai's parts pretty much verbatim?

Or do you think that it's Vai himself on the recording? I mean can Zakk even play sitar?

  • its vai for sure

  • youztuber5000: interesting. Frencfred9 above says that it was Zakk. Any of you two got some evidence, lol?

  • My Little Man

    Writer Ozzy Osbourne

    Steve Vai

    Producer Michael Beinhorn

"My Little Man" is a song off the 1995 album Ozzmosis

    Ozzy Osbourne - vocals

Steve Vai - guitar, sitar its on wikipedia

  • Youztuber5000: Thx for that. However, I just went to Wiki entry for "My Little Man" and it states that Zakk also played guitar on it. So, I guess that means the recording has them both on it.

It definitely sounds like Zakk at 2:19 for example.

  • sure sounds like zakk but the debate was who played sitar, right? i might be confused

  • zakk played the "sitar" : and it's not a sitar, it's an electric coral sitar (there's coral sitar videos on youtube), and it's like a guitar playing. So erery guitar player can play coral sitar

  • I only heard Vai composed it.. then it doesnt really matter who records it.. :-) it's still Vai.. whoever plays it...

  • Right you are. From the offical vai website; "Some tracks were recorded but only one of the songs Steve wrote with Ozzy, "My Little Man", appeared on the record and all of the guitars were redone by Zakk Wylde. Tapes of Steve & Ozzy don't exist outside the studio, and there are no plans to release any of it."

  • Pretty sure it's all Vai on this one

  • vai didnt play on this it was Zakk Wylde

  • @MrDubson12 u can tell its not zakk

  • That is a bad-ass song!! I call my son Little Man. And right now, my son is out in Iraq and I'm a wreck!! I listen to it all the time and think of "MY LITTLE MAN". His name is Jeffrey Jr. and if you pray to our Lord up above, then please call his name to Jesus Christ and pray that my 1 and only baby will come home safe. Thanks.

    ARMY MOM

  • god bless him!

  • LOVE IT TO MY ARRON SCOTT

  • I love :D that..

  • Changes was written in the 70's and Bill Ward wrote the song

  • this is the best ozzy album!!

  • I agree I love almost all the songs on it.

  • beckymaru: I agree that Ozzmosis is his best album...but I've read that Ozzy doesn't like it! Weird...

  • The sitar is vai and so is the first part of the solo, then cleverly it changes straight to zakk!

  • n4th4n222: do you think Vai recorded the sitar intro? I wonder...cause I don't know if Zakk can play sitar.

  • Zakk wylde recorded sitar

  • frenchfred9: dude, we people on here think it's actually Vai playing the sitar (and some guitars along with Zakk). Check out the Wiki entry for "My Little Man."

That's where we got the info!

  • Comment removed

  • No, during "guitar and bass magazine" interview ( 1995, alien love secret album), there was zakk wylde who called steve vai by phone, because he wanted to know the sitar open tuning for recording. And it's not a sitar, it's a coral sitar

  • frenchfred: OK, thanks for that info about the coral sitar and the phone call. It makes sense!

  • this song is about jack .. ozzy has a song for all his kids .. he has the song aimee for his daughter aimee and he did changes with kelly

  • One song of Ozzy's can sum up all of his kids: Crazy Babies!

  • Shows a totally different side for Ozzy, Zakk, and the band themselves.

  • Hmmm, but it was written by Vai not Zakk...

  • Really? But Zakk probably preformed this song though. And why does the solo sound something that Zakk would play rather then Vai.

  • Zakk recorded this album, but not all of songs are his compositions. This one is Vai and Ozzys (they wrote whole album, which never saw a daylight). Solo to me sounds like Vai stuff, but with Zakks feel. Anyway, this one IS Vais, I've got booklet :)

  • Thats cool. Did Vai tour with Ozzy when he did the Ozzmosis tour? Or did Zakk do this with Ozzy live or did they just skip the song, I just recently heard this song from one of my buddies.

  • damn dude thanks for all the tags!

  • played this at my grandfathers funeral..noone knew it was coming..

    it was great

  • Thats Cool

  • @DJKRIS2FUR "Tht was sweet nice tribute to a great man tht U loved and miss. My condolences."

  • Steve Vai and Ozzy. The combination produces nothing but sheer mastery.

  • Man I remember back 95 my brother bought a new stereo I was just a little man myself I was only 9 blastin' this album in my brothers room while they were at highschool, influence came from them I guess, memories this song brings back it does.
