Jason was just getting the hang of the whole killing thing in part 2, and was very clumsy. In 3, when he blasted what's-her-doodle in the eye with the harpoon gun, the transformation was complete, and he became the Jason we all know and love today.

This is how I knew Friday the 13th was a dark comedy. This music sounds way too comical for a serious movie. But I admire Jason because he kills people. We need more people like Jason Voorhees and other misanthropes in the world.

Friday the 13th Part 3 is one of the best, and two things make it great: Jason's slouch as he walks - whoever knew bad posture could be badass? - and this song. Damn it's eerie. Wonder if Jason had a funky little disco in the barn to pass the time between kills?

The first 5 have a pure Friday feel to them. With Jason lurking in the shadows (Yes I know what part 5 is and yes I included it it follows the same formula and good) but 6 through 8 are more "fan boy" films. The first ones are scary. Then what New Line did to the series I don't think I should have to explain the crap they did. And the remake was mediocre at best ignore Mrs. Voorhees.

My faves of the saga is part 1, 3, 4, Jason Lives, 7 and Freddy Vs. Jason. I am a huge fan of this series and the reboot/revamp should be nice in the tradition of "Casino Royale" or "Batman Begins". It might be better then Rob Zombie's "Halloween" or the decent "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" remake.

Gramavision put out the all encompassing soundtrack LP for the first 3 films on August 13th 1982.

The album contains the full soundtracks for F13 parts 1-3.

Wow! I saw this the day after it was released, on a Saturday afternoon. I was WAY underage, but I got in because my mom wanted to see it too, since she had never been to a 3-D movie before. We had fun. She still remembers the popping eyeball scene. My, where does the time go?

I was a 10 year old geek trying to fit the 3D glasses over my eyeglasses. A friend and his mom and dad took us to see it and afterward he bought the soundtrack at the record store in the mall. That was the last time I saw or heard the soundtrack until June of last year when I finally tracked down a copy.

Time sure does fly but it's fun to bring some of those memories back once in a while. Glad you liked the video.

I never got to see this in 3D, but I remember seeing it at a friend's house on HBO (back when HBO and cable in general was worth a damn), and it scared the piss out of me. I didn't fall asleep until the sun came up...literally!
