Nicely executed, near total whitewash. Doubt the PLA would have the wherewithall to pull this off so spectacularly in real life though.

As to the game, love and hate it, giving orders is far too complicated but it's one of the few games where you can make real tactical choices. Plus the sheer open quality of the map is great, so tired of trudging through corridors with "mountain/urban/desert" renders.

The AI is ALOT more intelligent on PC, have any patches been released? Towards the end where you send out to squads to assault and flank they seek cover themselves right away when reaching their targets. On consoles they will just go to the marker and once the soldier who is first in the column or line reaches the marker, they all just stop on the spot and stay there right in the open. It all seems more organized in general when you placed the defend order aswell.

What you're all forgeting is that the Chinese can have as much men and tech as they want, they're still inferior to American and UN/NATO forces, and they haven't engaged in warfare in over 30 years. They fought Vietnam shortly after the war ended in the 70's, and got their asses thrown back over the border.

Actually the path I had the convoy move on was much longer. Reason why the humvee stopped was because it detected my squad, so I opened fire.

Nice shooting and all, but I highly doubt they'd send a few supply trucks down the road with nothing but a couple Humvees for an escort, especially if they were fighting toe-to-toe with the PLA, there's no way they'd be stupid enough to leave a convoy like that so poorly protected.

Yes, but the PLA are waaaaaay harder-core than ANYthing we ran into in Iraq. I mean, imagine fighting an army larger than Russia's or India's, with technology almost on par with that of Great Britain and the US, and comprised of soldiers who serve and are dedicated to a fanatical, totalitarian state. When we went into Iraq, half the Iraqi army surrendered on the spot and the other half either surrendered later, deserted and just said "fuck it, I'm going home", or got their rocks blown off by us.

this person is playing on the easiest difficulty. In harder difficulties, you dont get map markers on screen, or the hit indicator, or enemy position indicators and other stuff. This game can be very very realistic on harder difficulty
