As far as I know that is NOT sodium polyacrilate but silica gel. Sodium Polyacrilate acts almost instantly, it's what some people know as instant snow.
@Diegoho44 on the package you can see it says 100% Sodium Polyacrilate. Since these are dense balls of it, it works much more slowly than small flakes be cause there's so much less surface area.

@xpufy1 Some will just break apart and crackle a little when doing so nothing more, they cant absorb near as much as spa.
