@DeeceJeff Today's generation is cursed with mostly bad music. I feel sorry for the youth growing up idolizing 50 cent, beyonce, and the lower forms like lady gaga, spears, etc...
My generation, early 90's Metallica, Nirvana, Guns and Roses,
You should rename this 'Big Wreck plays to a bunch of fucking zombies'.... that's more fitting.
On a side note... it sounds like Thornley is having trouble screaming at the top of his lungs :( I imagine being out in the cold didn't help em. Great song from a great band tho :) thanks for the up!
@Shmoe101 Yes. I didn't know that (I've just checked on wiki). Still, Boston isn't very far from Toronto and I believe that most of the songs were from Ian anyways. And the rest of the band may have put their playing style on them which gave a good vibe to their two only albums.
@kenworth1962 Totally agree, except their first album in 1997, but for the rest, Nickelback is just a rock publicity tool to fade the real "rock era" between 1950-2000. Glam rock at its worst should I say. Everything sucks in 2000-2010. It's sad.
Tight. Sounds realllllly good live. And yeah; proof positive that there is no God, indeed. These guys just imploded, and that is a damn shame. Loved that first album.
I couldn't believe people weren't picking up on them faster when they were around. I absolutely loved this CD and turned on a few friends to it. Again, what a shame, so talented and great songwriters.
Man, I saw them at The Kee to Bala a few years back and they just rocked! It was a great summer night. Up north, in a rare warm Canadian summer night, under the stars, on the water. Good memories.
Broke up with a girl while on deployment and this song saved my life from depression and being upset. I put a thousand miles on a treadmill listening to this album and this song...Thornley Rules and Big Wreck was a great band like Virgos Merlot and then disappears leaving US wanting more!
Am "I" missing something here too or is just me that can hear his vocal chords hitting the floor on EVERY chorus! Granted it's winter and he was gassed according to reports, but holy fawk, that was BAD!
jakey that guy got 11 thumbs up and you got nothing. Stop trying to put down Canadians, go get one of your grandpa's guns, and kill your mexican mother then come talk to me ok brah?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
hahaa, its not my fault canadians stick together like a pack of rats and gave him 11 thumbs up....my grandpa died of cancer, thats for reminding me, and my mexican grandpa has lived here for like 50 years and he still barely knows english, he cant operate a gun
Wow he was almost young there.. He's such a wicked musician.. seen him just hammered before and he didn't miss a beat... CAn't wait to see him again tomorrow :)
Considering they're playing in winter, amazing vocal performance by Ian. Seriously underrated band. Now if only he hadn't become so fond of acoustic guitars on Thornley's new singles...
@fakeplasticme Umm without Nickelback and Chad Kroeger Ian Thornley and his band "Thornley" wouldn't be anwhere right now. Real original name, use your own last name, that hasn't been done before Ian Thornley. Don't get me wrong I like some of his work, but still

I'm watching this and Im so disappointed by this friggid stoic crowd.
I remember BigWreck, and they were good.
But fuggit, Im Canandian and at -20°C we move a little bit even to do the effen Saftey Dance.
This a video of great musicians, surprised to be in front of the death of the mountains.
The video shows the shame, its the wankers who didnt move a bit when good musics was played. Great great music
