Even though it's not better for the Colts Brown has looked better running the ball this year with Painter than he ever has with Manning, I think it's due to the fact with Manning they always made him run draw plays because teams would put more db's on the field to try and slow down Manning, but now that Manning is hurt there are more DL and LB's on the field so now Brown can easily out run them, which he couldn't with all the DB's.

He's going to be one hell of a pro. He does everything fundamentally right as far as running the ball. He has great instincts in choosing the correct hole, gets low and small when bursting through it, and then explodes out of the other side. Switches hands with the ball ALWAYS, and holds it high and tight. Can catch out of the backfield. Runs fairly hard, will break out of arm tackles. He's pretty much everything the Colts are looking for. Can't wait to see him this preseason.

I was just thinking what you brought up about him being fundamentally sound. What he lacks in break away speed he more then makes up for with being football smart, and a student of the game. He is one of the more fundamentally oriented runners I've seen in the last few years.
