Soldier has one more, funny but only apllicable to lower difficulties, use. When you use Adrenaline Rush, although your gun fires more slowly, your movement speed is the same, so you can zip across the battlefield while shooting to get to cover fast, but also the time slow doesn't affect melee, you can melee strike up to three times faster at the max level, combined with the 170% damage bonus, it's stupidly easy to deal with foes in your face XP.

@praetorian2150 I'd stick with the infiltrator class, the tactical cloak lets you get out of sticky situations. saved my life more times than I care to remember the first time i played insanity. Plus, you get to use the Black Widow, which takes down fully shielded collectors with one good shot, no chance for Harbinger to assume control.

But Vanguard is an alright class. of the classes I've played, the tactical cloak is my favorite power, followed by the biotic charge. tech armor just feels kinda cheap, doesn't really go with the other powers as something to use in the heat of battle to change the playing field. The tech armor is more like something you turn on at the start of a level, and just forget it's there.

i play i level 30 soldier, the red AR at 0:41 is a revenent and can be found on the collector ship when you gather 1/2 your squad, when you're there wonder around a bit and you'll find it

Will headshots actually do more damage now? In Mass Effect 1 it made no difference. Even early shooters like GoldenEye had different damage ratings for headshots.

I'm gonna love ME2, but for the love of God make it so headshots do at least a little more damage.

Am I the only one who enjoyed being an Engineer? I'm on my second playthrough as an Engineer on ME1 and I highly enjoy the class because I like breaking down enemies' defenses or stunning them, before killing them with the pistol?

The Soldier Class looks great, but it's too much focused on weaponary and I find myself to be the defensive type.

In the first one you could get any class to use Assault Rifles, you just had to get the 'Assault Rifle Specialist' achievement with a Soldier first. I'll bet it's the same in this one.

To everyone who's asking, your level dosen't carry over. If you're level 60 in the first one you'll start at level 0 (or 1) in the second! However things like how much money you have and your Paragon/Renegade points carry over!

In the mass effect web page it says that the chracter that was created in mass effect 1 will be transfered to the new game i dont think the characters level will pass, and in mass effect 2 you can change classes in the beginng of the game so if u were a vanguard in mass effect 1 and dont want to be one in the second game you can change it to whatever other class u want
