Hey, I was at the korean supermarket with a friend a while ago and I was gonna get fish cakes in a package but I wasn't sure because there was this other thing and it says bean curd. And it looked absolutely similar. Anways, what's the Korean characters for this? So I can buy it. Thanks!
@aeriskitchen Thanks! I bought a lot of Odeng yesterday with my boyfriend and I followed your recipe and he loved it! His mom even complimented me because she said that she missed eating this. Thanks btw! How about for spicy fish cake?
@Ally8pie because this is a country that started with people from different countries and had to make do for what we had..but if you travel around the country you will see some american born food but mostly foreign foods since european americans live here basically the decendants of africans lost all of their culture over 175 to 200 years ago because of the slave trade but made up new things.
@Ally8pie Hot dogs are actually German...hence the name "frankfurters" ^^; They came from Frankfurt, Germany. So, actually, we don't have many original foods at all xD Even a lot of our traditionally Southern dishes (i.e., pot pies and such) are originally English lol Soooo honestly, idk if we even have any food here that isn't foreign in some way xD
Hi, Aeri! I absolutely love your cooking and Korean food. I haven`t been able to tried any recipes yet and I`ll do that soon! :) I just want to know what brand of cookingware you used since I can see that knife is very sharp. Thanks a lot and hope to see more vids from you!
it can be depend on the brand you get.but masically.. it's made from white fish... sometimes they use seafood like.. squid addition to the white fish.. sometimes.. they add.. some vegetables like carrot .. onion..or green onion.. thanks
I can understand why you ask that.. we don't put sugar to EVERYTHING though... instead.. Korean usually don't eat desserts like.. pie.. cake.. cookie.. ice cream.. after meal... we eat fresh fruits instead.. so in that point.. sugar consumption can be a little less than Western diet.. just my opinion. thanks :)
@UrusaiBaka4400 UNLESS YOU ARE ALERGIC OR IT'S TO EXPENSIVE IN YOUR COUNTRY IT'S BETTER TO USE OLIVE OIL IT'S THE BEST FOR YOUR HEALTH.TRUST ME I'M THE ONE WHO USE IT FOR EVRYTHING AND I FELL THE DIFFERNCE SERCH ON GOOGLE TO FIND OUT IT'S BENNEFITS
OMG that looks so good :) i tried your bibimbap recipe at home and it was so good! i used hoi sin sauce + sesame oil, soy sauce instead for the sauce because it was easier to find in HK :) my mom loved it so much :) i love your videos :)
aha..I got it.. thanks.. I don't know if I can get raw crab around here.. maybe not... but I will add it to my list. youtube channel "Powerplantop" posted that video before..I will find it and send you a link for it. thanks :)
Korean brand soy sauce I used... we have 2 kinds of soy sauce.. one is for normal cooking...and the other is soy sauce for soup.. I used normal one.. thanks :)
hi there.. id like to cure my confusion.. ive seen other fish cakes that has different appearance.. some are different in shapes n sizes.. so what do u call that flat fish cake you sliced up in 0:24.. i mean its korean name... thnx...
Actually.. I think you can use different shapes of fish cake.. but since you asked the Korean name for this specific shape of fish cake..I will answer to your question. it said.. "sa-gak eo-muk" 사각 어묵.. that means.. square shape fish cake... I will send you a link for it from my blog. thanks !!
Oh~~ so you have a good memory about this dish. :) good !!! Try it someday... not sure if it will be close to your ajumma's but.. it will be yummy too. :)
no i wasnt a fat kid, because im not american. you americans are so fat that the fat inside your bodies are actually evolving the shape of a human body, and in a few more years there might to two types of humans. humans that look normal, and the humans that look american. suck on that fat bitch
well if your 6'' that means your 6 inches tall, and at that height you shouldnt be weighing 150lbs, so ur fat, just admit your fat it aint that much of a shame, over half of americans are fat but are seriously in denial, they wear baggy clothes and hoodies to cover up their fat, but it shows
I will say.. fist for 2 or 3 days.. the taste will be still okay. (of course.. it's the best to eat it right after you make it. ) even it's not rotten.. after more than 4 days .. it will not taste not as good. but if you are just asking me.. how long you can eat before it goes bad..I will say.. about a week ?? Since this recipe doesn't make that much.. I guess you can finish it in 3 days ?? right ?? thanks !!
Thank you !!!! It's a little different question though...I wonder where did you learn make up..I always wonder this question from girls who are really good at make up..hehe you are one of them ^^
No, but I misspelled it. I meant to say gefilte fish. It's a yiddish dish. They use a white fish, such as carp or cod, de-bone it and make it into patties. Korean fish cakes remind me of it a bit.
haha.. I know it of course.. We call.. odeng guk... I love it.. ^^ maybe I can make a video for it someday... yep.. it's especially good in the winter.. ^^ have a good day~~~~~
