Ache playing ACHE ... good to see and hear again ... a version of the number closer to how it sounded from their live-act's those days, - more searching than the version from their later 2 album.
Shame they are so overlooked these days in DK when talks comes to the late69's/earlie70's rock-scene,- to me the absolute best band those days in DK. First time i saw them was overhearing the soundcheck at a live set done for DanishRadio in 69, - would love to hear SweetJollyJoyce from that set again.
:) .... yes yes Phoenix, - just .... and prove me wrong ;), - if this is not an earlier version than the one you hear on 'Green Man' .... and about the title of the song .... think maybe we have to ask the guys themselfes, - just .... if i recall right .... in their live-acts during 69-70 this number was mostly announced as just 'ACHE'(refearing to the tunes in the bass-line A_C_H_E) .... and ... again if i recall right .... always the opening number of the sets :) .... best best
ACHE was one of the greatest psychedelic bands in the wold ! I did injoy the band in club 27 in copenhagen Same place did Alrune Rod and Søren Seirups Balonrute (Steppeulve after Eik Skalø) preform.
awesome stuff!!

There were 3 really good groups. Ache, Day of Phoenix and Alrune Rod.
Ache had a hit in France with Shadow of a Gipsy. The first danish music with a hit after Jørgen Ingemann (I think).
And Day of Phoenix had a lp as one of the best lps from an abroad band in Musical Express or Rolling Stone.
Alrune Rod - sings danish and thanks for that - very hippi and alive after 40 years but only short time a year.
