Adam is a good friend of mine and he is one of the nicest most gracious people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. He's an absolutely amazing player and even better person. If you get a chance to see him live and meet him you won't regret it at all.
Awesome player. Everything I've heard is silky smooth. Fritter boy is amazing as well, but the comments were disabled so I came here to say fantastic job.
Brilliant! I saw lots of cameras going while Adam was doing his stuff! Looking forward to reliving some nice funky moments. Did you video the Poogie Bell set too?
that was class,he is an amazing bassist,he has a great style of playing, yall should check out his song "the divine wind" i uploaded it,it has a great bassline.
this guy definitely doesn't get the appreciation he deserves. everyone talks about guys like victor wooten and marcus miller, but adam nitti is just as good as either of them and it seems like he's not nearly as well known.
It is a shame - he's great. The problem is, Victor and Marcus have large catalogs of songs that they've played on with artists like Bela Fleck, Miles Davis, David Sanborn, etc. He just needs a body of work where common people can discover him through pieces of music that they like, rather than solo videos.
I'm a bass player. By "sweeps" I assume you mean what is referred to as Raking (vs sweep picking on guitar) is actually not that difficult and achievable by any bass player beyond a beginner. It just takes a little practice.
Amazing! ...I wouldn't call it improv though. This has to be a written composition. Writing something like that though is amazing of itself, and playing it so cleanly and fast is simply AMAZING! Can't say I've seen better.
This person nailed it. Adam is very humble and is willing to share his knowledge about music in general. He is really one of the good people in this world.
Definitely a great solo, and maybe it was just the room, but less verb sure would have been nice so his runs wouldn't have sounded so muddy and undefined.
you sure thats improv? not at ALL doubting his ability hes incredible, great musicianship and obviously chops too.. but it sounds more like a composition

It's a warrior bass he uses I think.
He is incredible. I find him the best technical player of all, including wooten and all other technical masters.
But Jeff Schmidt is to me by far more listenable

where could you get a bass like that?

What he's doing is beyond any "beginner" raking.
DeathBringer769 2 years ago 3
so youre saying a beginner could just practice for a day or two and do that? i dont think so.

i wonder which amp is ON: the markbass OR the EBS ?
anahowana 4 years ago
It is the EBS amp which is on. It was one of the 2 that was available at the time. Although it's not Adams rig, there is still a great sound!
mtd535 4 years ago
the EBS is clearly the only one with any lights on lol so im guessing the EBS is on
petersonp715 3 years ago
I had heard of this guy, but after I watched
this, WOW.
I don't know if he is the best overall, but he can lay down some pretty awesome sweeps, and is easily the best I've ever heard at sweeps
Bassman1026 4 years ago 2
probably the best bassist in the world right now, there isnt anything he ant do
bassplayer100001 4 years ago
idk, he's obviously incredible, but i don't feel his grooves like i do some other players, like Wooten, or even Les Claypool
epimage09915 3 years ago
Really??? Well I think Wootten does as he teaches on his nature camp. Try out the other videos, see what you think.
mtd535 3 years ago
yeah, i definitely will be checking out lots of videos. thanks for postin it btw. it's always appreciated
epimage09915 3 years ago
a six string 3 to 7 stretch into sweeps, quite tasty
