with the new fb all you do is click the down arrow next to home at the top right then account settings then apps make sure it doesnt say fb apps thats something different.
That page doesn't show up on my newsfed at all so that I can click on the right side of the x icon. When I am logged in to my facebook page, this page is no where to be found. But my friends still see me that I like this page.
However when a friend on my list logs in with her account and she can open that page that I "like", she can see me that I like that page. This a is page I never chose to like, it's a spam and I want it gone from my profile. ( this is the 2nd part of my post below)
How can unlike a facebook page if i can't access nor can I see in my profile but only my friends can see?A facebook page shows that I 'like" the page. But it is not listed under my profile/activities interest, can't delete it from there. When I go to that page itself, it automatically directs me to my homepage so I can't open the page and click on the "unlike" button.
Once you are logged in to facebook click on "account" and then click on "privacy settings". Go to the the bottom of the page and you will see a heading "Apps and Websites" Click on the "Edit your settings for using apps, games and websites" and it will take you to your page with all of you apps, it will tell you how many apps your currently using, click on "Edit settings" and it will take to your list , click the "X" option and the click on the "Remove" to remove the app.
Account > privacy settings > Apps and Websites but you need to click the link below that - "Edit your settings"
OMG why is it hidden so hard. I understand a great deal of interface. Facebook did this for their own reasons. Interface should be self-understanding. These Option is just hidden.
@Jessanation yeah I don't either! Has Facebook layout changed since you did this video? I appreciate it but I don't have the option application settings.
@Jessanation no one does its a scam but theres a new way go to account then privacy settings at the bottom corner u will see edit apps or somthing like that then pick witch ones to delete

@superguy2569 first, go to your privacy settings
then scroll down to the bottom and click the link under "apps and websites". it should say 'edit your settings' in blue
next, click edit settings on the "apps you use" row
after that, click on the app you don't want
then, there should be something that says remove app
finally, there should be a message box that is telling you to confirm that you want to remove the app
VIOLA! it should be gone if you press remove
hope this helped

the reason is facebook has a contract with all the apps so if people erase them facebook looses money they'r only thinking about themselves

found a newer way to get rid of applications this was posted only last week. I tried it today and it worked:
go to 'privacy settings'
down at the bottom left it says 'Applications and websites' click 'edit setting'
then click 'remove' on the remove unwanted or spam applications
then click the small 'x' to the right
and thats it deleted
