The female dancer is April Berry, and she is now a friend of mine here in Charlotte. I think that Alvin Ailey's work and his dancers are simply amazing. I love Gospel music, and I could watch "Revelations" on a regular basis. When I saw my friend dancing here in "Fix Me Jesus," I could not watch it without tears coming to my eyes. April is so beautiful in this!

This one is my favorite. When I saw it live I was so close to crying. So gorgeous and moving! Every time they pause it looks like a beautiful painting (as all dance should). I wish I could dance like that too. My turnout is the worst!

the first time i saw this piece performed i sat in my seat and cried like a baby. very moving. yes this 6' 2" , 230 lb man cried like a baby. when ever i get a chance to see this company, i run to buy tickets.
