Love all the symbols. Just got my beginner set. lol. 38 years old and started playing over a year ago. took 30 years just to get the hand foot cooridnation down. Love this song. Always. Great job.
Dude... LOVED the double bass fill towards the end. It probably goes without saying that you've made Robert Sweet Proud. I just don't understand why anyone would hit the dislike button, but what the heck, to each his own. Great Job!
I just thought I'd tell you, your cover of this song has encouraged me to learn this song beat for beat. I'll post my cover soon. Thanks for the inspiration bro. Can't stop the rock.
Great job man. Nice to see a drummer thats so fluent and relaxed, but not to much so that it takes the dynamics out of their playing. You follow the artists/drummers song and dont go off into your own world overplaying all over the place. Overplay is overkill and overkill is overplay. Time and a place for everything. Thanks for sharing and many Blessings to you and yours ~ Blaise ~
Glen, you rock. As a drummer and a huge Stryper fan people don't realize that Robert plays "simple yet complicated" stuff. And who cares if gspot is your name. Married people can have lots o fun. :) Appreciate the Malmsteen and DT stuff too. Now, how about Tom Sawyer or Red Barchetta? You can do it! (BTW, huge paiste fan too, hated zildjian except for ride once in blue moon)

when stryper plays satans music like judas priest and boston. who rejoices god or satan? angels or demons? much deception in these last days of the church age. dont be decieved. youll know them by there fruit. by them promoting judas priest they stand up for homosexuality and satans music. they say its ok to sit on the fench and play both sides. thats not what god says. WAKE UP

Damn Glen ...... ! I grew up listening to Stryper, and Bloodgood, et al. Wanna start a set list ? I got a decent bass player best bud, from when we were doing white metal back in the day, so all we need is a guitar virtuoso and there ya go ! :) Nice work. Wow. Like the double pedal work.....sweet ! SUBSCRIBED !!!
I siure hope that the members of the band have gotten to see this. From one drummer to another....that was awesome! God bless you my brother. I also have to agree with soulprovider915. I have played on many kits of many sizes. Now the amount of drums has no bearing on how good you are. But the bigger the kit, THE BETTER!. By the time I'm done with my kit, it will look similar to the one in this video.
I remember practicing all this shit on the subway (great sunding floors) with a walkman. This guy must be rich with a rig like that, he hits like a jazz drummer. Noone ever bothered me either, I was young, with Jesus I guess.
Awesome my brother! :0) from a fellow Christian drummer who grew up with Stryper, Petra, Norman, etc. Playing the skins myself for around 40 years now..... God had blessed ya, becareful to never take the Glory... continue to give Him the praise and you can never go wrong :0) Let us all continue to examine ourselves to see that we are still in the faith.... It is a fight, let us continue to fight on our knees inquiring of the Lords battle plan :0) Christ's Blessings!
Well, there's nothing special. The heads are really old and I use normal tuning that has the heads very close to the same tension. There is no dampening on the snare or toms. The drums are birch. That's pretty much it.
When Soldiers Under Command first came out I was Stryper CRAZY!!! I love that album, and still listen to it. It never fails to put me in a good mood. You did a great job playing it. Robert Sweet would approve!!
I grew up when Stryper was BIG! I am not religious, I am not sure if I believe in God, I have my Issues with him if he is..... But I Remember Stryper and I liked some of there tunes, and this being one of them and dude you rocked!! that Man!! better late comment than never Lol....
dude man!! I like this!!!!

Loooooove the tuning of your drum. Mind sharing that with us?

Well, there's nothing special. The heads are really old and I use normal tuning that has the heads very close to the same tension. There is no dampening on the snare or toms. The drums are birch. That's pretty much it.

Ok, and once you have tightened up the heads with your fingers do you go half a turn? A whole turn?

When Soldiers Under Command first came out I was Stryper CRAZY!!! I love that album, and still listen to it. It never fails to put me in a good mood. You did a great job playing it. Robert Sweet would approve!!
