it doesnt matter what you do.. if you have one of the xboxs with the glue that over heats and melts... then it WILL happen, its just a matter of time. you may prolong it but you cant stop it. the heat thats melts it is coming from inside the chips the glue is around.. so theres nothing you can do.

the main reason is because you keep your xbox standing up. if you have it laying down, it wont get the red ring. its some wierd shit with heat and melting some componants.

i have mine elevated a little from the table too it does it good cause then all of the vents are open. cause if you stand it the bottem(biggest) vent is closed and if you lay it flat then the side vents are closed. so its good to elevated. but you should lay it flat it runs the cd smoother and the big vent is open. ill make an update video on this cause i just got an elite and stuff.
