wow you guys are really hating how we took your disgrace to ohio flipped it on you and made a BIG tradition just face it you guys will always just be "the team from up north" and nothing more then that
I hop all osu fans are thinking "thank you michigan for creating this for us" while watching this every game. your welcome for your only good tradition
You want it to be the point so let me put my orginal statment in quotes for you. "Michigan was the first to make a script Ohio formation in 1932." That's the point. If you want to state that you did some kind of different formation, I don't know, but were you at the 1932 Michigan OSU game. Did the Michigan band members appear out of thin air. All I know is Michigan made the script OHIO first. Peace out. I'm sure the people watching really care about the count....haha
Michigan performed a cursive spelling of "Ohio" as stationary formation...huge difference. Ohio State was already doing the "Floating Ohio" at the time...that was the real impetus for the new Script. Michigan's band director passed along a paper noting the placement of the bandsmen for his formation. OSU's merged that with their expertise at moving formations, then added the song, the 144-measure "Le Regiment" military march, to form the original Script Ohio. Very little of it was scUM's idea.
haha. You are trying to justify that there is a big difference between Michigan's script Ohio in 1932 and OSU doing the Floating Ohio. Good luck. In the end they both look identical...as far as how they are created is the only difference.
actually the michigan band's formation was markedly different from the one osu adopted, and tremendously different from the one they use today...and i think we already knew how to spell "ohio." michigan did not march, did not play le regiment, did not do any of the difficult crossovers, did not start it from the block o formation, and certainly did not dot the "i". if you'd still contend michigan started it, then surely you'd also admit michigan stole the winged helmet from princeton and msu.
Michigan did get the idea from princeton to use the winged helmet, because they hired the coach that used it there. If you want to argue that Michigan's version of the Script Ohio is different.....lol. Yes, they did not march or play some song, that OSU uses now. My arguement is Michigan did the first script Ohio playing "Fight the Team" in Ohio Stadium and that is a direct influence of where you got the idea to do your version a few years later.
Remember whom your bitch was: Hurricane katrina. And it was people from Ohio and California that sent your sorry ass state millions of dollars of aid out of our pockets, in return what we get from Les Miles here in Los Angeles,is a bunch of classless trash talk, Tressel is 10 times the man that the S.O.B. Miles is, next time Lousiana can kiss my ass...
but ignorant comments like "best damn team in the land" should be pointed out (in my opinion) especially when that great team gets it handed to them in ANY game
I'll let this go now..as I never meant to be/come off as a jerk
Ahh, you should've known, most of us Buckeye fans don't take criticism well (even in fun) and especially when let down. But I don't hate you-I like Penn State better than Michigan and Penn State has a better record against the SEC. Hell, doesn't take much to be better than 0-8 though.

Kind of true. The band up north did to the first Script Ohio. However, the marching version we currently enjoy was not.
