-.- There are 2 models called "G15". The first one looks like the G13 just with screen and the second one is the ugly red one ^^

I wonder how much you want for the film you are using in the video. I bought enough for about 10 keyboards for 13 Euro ;)

about the keys... start with the space bar. If this key is out you can easily get the otner keys out :D

This isn't a Logitech G15, its a Logitech G13? don't you know what model you have, lol? Logitech G15 has not a screen that you can set in diffrent positions and close. And the backlight is red, not blue =P

@inakretep I bought an Logitech G15 a couple of years ago, and my older brother bought a G13. His keyboard looks exactly like the one in the vid, like the G-buttons, G15 only has 6 buttons on the left side. I've bought a G19 now, and this kboard has 12 G-buttons on the left side. It looks like a mix of G13 and G15 =P But it's really nice, altough very expensive in my opinion.

I've got this keyboard and I was modding it, but I ripped out the orange ribbon cable for the screen, it is intact but not in the socket, did this happen to you? Is it fixable? Thank you very much

If you have the connector still intact, then yes, just re-connect the ribbon, however, if you have ripped the ribbon; then you out of luck.

Oh, and guys, you can skip the first part about the paper; by just going to taking the keyboard apart, then tracing the silver part onto the vinyl (Adhesive stuff) direct.

its called taking the faceplate off then butting the tape thing on and cutiing it out

its better to use a paper clip to remove the keys (just insert it in 90 degrees then flip it to 0 degree). To open the keyboard, better than using a "minus" screwdriver do separate the 2 pieces, use a guitar pick or any credit card.

on my enter bar and shift key i was careless and broke one of the side things, also when putting the keys back on you dont have to insert the metal thing, once you put the key in they latch back on themselves, did for mine at least

I like this vid, but would it have made more sense to disassemble the KB first then trace the shape for the vinyl so the paper would lay flat? The keys wouldn't make the paper pop up, thus having stretch the paper over it. Just a thought.

the keys stick to the print plate so no problemo. so the top part is a different section . thats just the polyester part that you can put the vinyl on

you could have taken the screws out of the bottom of the keybord and then the keys are all at 1 plate. and the silver top part of the keyboard is then already empty....how easy...instead taking out all the keys

for prying it open, something like a guitar pick or credit card can get you stated off easily, and it wont damage the casing

Can't say for sure - if you unscrew the whole tray assembly, there is the chance that you will end up with more parts that you will need to put back in the right places.

I did it like this as it seemed to be the simplest and quickest way (to me)

it usually isn't that hard to dissasemble these keyboards, just be carful of keeping a certain similarity to the assembled one and you'll not get lost.

If you don't have good memory I suggest you write down on a piece of paper what you take out ;)

So i just attempted this mod for myself. Everything was going smoothly until pulling the ribbon cable out of its socket while detaching the black face plate. I broke the clip holding the cable in, and attempted to macguyver it back in with some electrical tape, and using a pen I managed to put a hole in the damn ribbon cable! Just a word of caution to those of you going to try it. Hopefully I can find a broken G15 to use for the parts.
