Powerful yet elegant, disorganized yet smooth, the song has shouting that would normally turn me away but keeps me with the way it convenes a certain sadness and feelings of loss and redemption.

I like the Who and I love Pearl Jam. All the Who fans who scream and cry that PJ covered this song really should be quiet. The guys in PJ are huge Who fans and they did a great job with this song. Oh man I started to cry when the song started to play in that movie. This song is so strong! And both versions are great. Pearl Jam is maybe more emotional and fits better to the movie.

Sorry but I think they didn't succed in doing this cover. The original is much better. The original song was so sweet, Eddie's voice is too hard here. The grunge sound doesn't suit at all to this song, the original is poetic, cannot hear EW screaming! They did'nt get to the core of the song, just made a grunge song, a PJ song.

For me the original is just a little better, but man does this come close. I think it would also be cool to see a guy like chric cornell sing this song (In his prime of Course). The screams here are pretty good, and the only thing that makes the original better are the verses. Daltry sang the verses better, but in screams they are equal. Great cover though, a very good tribute to the original.
