  • They say that there will be a new movie, sequel of this, called "Jason and the Argonauts: The Kingdom of Hades".

It will be released in 2012 and Jason will be Jake Gyllenhaal, Hades-Viggo Mortensen and Theseus-Orlando Bloom!

  • GREAT FILM =D

  • watch the 1963 version in fact all the 60's versions are better than the tripe they are dishing out of hollywood now

  • @Arachnaphillic : Agreed..All wonder why we are such a lost generation..everything is crap...

    ..mediocrity at BEST..sigh.

People are becoming stupider and stupider..

  • @2manysecrets2 I hate to say it but special effects are to blame as they became more impressive it all became about them rather than style and substance to a story, before they had to wow on the story and cacting now most dolts are happy with some big explosions and cyber tits.

  • boring!!!!!!!!!

  • this was a good version, it was entertaining.. if you enjoy the 1963 one then go watch it and quit watching the trailer for this one if you've even already seen it..

  • Cant wait for them to make "Hercules and the 100 virgins" with Rocco Siffredi starring as Hercules.

  • Waahahaha lmao is this movie made in 1980 or something? xDxDxD

  • Hollywood films based on epic stories should really stick to the true myths, sure they could have a lil poetic license, but when u deviate from the story too much, that's a problem!

  • Too bad jason and medea's story ended in tragedy!

  • Sam Worthington or another great actor would've been great as Jason.

  • The production and cast was good, if only it had stuck to the real mythic tale it would've been better.

  • 1963 version was better, this one plus the "Clash of the Titans' remake should've stuck to the original myths. I think Hollywood's taking too much poetic licensce these days.

  • jason was the biggest bitch in the world btw, when you compare him to hercules, achilles, perseus, odyseus, theseus, he was the biggest sissy, and got most of his shit done for him by medea... who he ends up backstabbing. I hate how hollywood alters greek legends to suit their own needs to make a cheese film.

  • @Melrodir you are right.

  • @December2012Junkie - For heaven's sake it's "blaque", not ""black". Lol.

  • Wot no stop-motion animated skeletons? Sod that, I'll just watch the Harryhausen version again.

  • Silly hollywood people. You can't remake a HARRYHOUSEN movie, especially when it's shot on shitteo! Now go back to your playpens and try not to shit your diapers up too bad.

  • funny

  • heck i have nothing better to do im going to watch right now

  • this movie was bad, but it had awesome music that made up some problems

  • Proof that special effects can't improve on a classic. Now watch the 1963 version to see how this should have been made.

  • I thought the guy playing Jason was Brendan Fraser at first, he sure looks like him.

  • this is horrible !!!!!!!!

  • horrible !!!!!!!!

  • SO cheezy for 2000. ROFLROFL

  • Jason looks like a fucking pussy

I'm fed up of these remakes casting these shitty prettyboy actors

  • This looks cheezy for 2000.

  • rip dennis

  • i saw this in school today

  • Stupid pretty boy shouldn't play jason

Why the fuck cant they have real men

  • Wow, this was made in 2000? I know it's only a TV movie, but how can it look so much worse than a movie made in 1963? That shouldn't be possible, but this movie proves it is. lol

  • So the actor has the same given name as the character he plays? He is like a regular Tim Allen in that respect.

  • @Snyarhedir Difference being, Home Improvement was created as a vehicle for Tim Allen, whereas the legend of Jason and the Argonauts has been around for millenia.

  • lame

  • WAS THIS MADE IN THE YEAR 2000 AD OR 2000 BC??? I mean, come on! It's black and wight for heaven's sake.

  • @December2012Junkie - It's WHITE not WIGHT for heaven's sake.

  • @December2012Junkie

dude it aint black and white.u color blind? lol

  • @December2012Junkie It's not, actually. You do know how to spell white, btw, don't you?

  • @imasinnerimasaint Yeah, I do actually. I was just typing fast okay?

  • you son of a bitch

  • I like pickled onions.

  • ive been looking for the online movie of this, anyone got the link?

  • Why not just go to blockbuster?

  • Which one of the two Argonauts movie is more accurate to the myth, the 2000 or the 1963?? Pls. answer me!!

  • the newer one

but if u wanna know bout the myth u should jst read the book

both movies cut a lot from the story

  • @ljfox27 i like the 1963 one better. The 2000 one plus the 'Clash of the Titans' remake should've stuck to the original myths.

  • I have this movie. I love it. I've never seen the 1963 version but peaple are saying it's good so I'll have to watch it. In this movie Dennis Hopper remindes me of steve carel. maybe it's just his voice

  • The 1963 version is waaaaaaaaaay better.

  • Amen peppersax. But I still give this film credit because it's still pretty good. Frank Lagella is in so that makes it good for me. But compared to the Ray Harryhausen masterpiece, this one is nothing.

  • & Dennis Hopper is in it too.

  • I agree that Frank Langella is superb in the role, but nothing compares to the original. You were correct when you used the word "masterpiece". Don't forget the masterful score by the great BERNARD HERRMANN. The skeleton fight scene alone is priceless!!!

  • Once again Amen!

  • This isn't a re-make of the 1963 version, just fyi.

In addition, this version is more accurate to the original tale.

  • That might be true. However, the earlier version is one that I still watch today. The 2000 version was a "one shot deal"

  • @peppersax

Harryhausen's film is a classic, Not that Harryhausen has copyright to use Greek myths but why did production companies cash in on his films 'Jason' and 'Clash of the Titans' when their are so many untold Greco-Roman myths, hell even more untold Norse and Celtic myths to be brought to the screen. Pity.

  • In my opinion, I think the 1963 version is much better, but the 2000 version tells the complete story.

  • Jason and the Argonauts, aka Jason and the Golden Fleece is a 2-part TV movie, directed by Nick Willing and produced by Hallmark Entertainment. It is very loosely based on the Greek myth of Jason and the Argonauts.

  • the old song, wicked

  • haha sstaa subiidaa eeL diia de mi cumpLee :D

cOmo se iamah eeStaa pelicula? sq tengoo qq acer un trabajoo... :S

    peroo esta version..no la antiiguuaa...

  • does anybody body know what is the modern name of country of argounavts

  • it's greece, i think that they started from Kolhitha a city of that time which is located at macedonia, a region of greece.

  • lol

  • what was funny?

  • Macedonia is not in greece...!!!

  • yes it is, you're not descent of Alexander neither of Jason because you are Slav. Slavs came to northern balcanic in 6th century after Christ. The Slavic tribes achieved many good things, for example they created powerful kingdoms, be proud about these, not about Macedonia. (Ask me whatever else you want.)

  • your soocks smell bad...Who said anything about alexander and slavs and that kind of s....t ?

  • you said that Macedonia is not in Greece, so you meant that it's a country. The truth is that it's not. The "Macedonians" are not Macedonians, it's a clear propaganda and it's a shame to believe it. (I can prove all my words, as I said before)

  • I think it's not accetable to demand from Macedonia to return the lands, but I wonder what is that nation living in Makedonia today? I mean, the historical Macedonians were close to Greeks, Slavs appeared there first arround 6th century, todays Macedonians are Slavs.. so what is the name of that slavonic nation living in Macedonia? It's obviously not Macedonians.

  • My country, Greece, doesn't demand anything, we just demand the end of their (and America's as well) propaganda. Macedonians were Greeks, they were from the Dorean tribe just like the well-known Spartans. "Macedonians" are half Albanian and half Bulgarian. Titto invented the story about Macedonia because he wanted to take lands from Greece and offer them a national identity. I hope that this was useful.

  • Well that's interesting. I heart even EU demanded from Macedonia to resolve this issue in order to became the EU member. And what are the sollutions offered from EU, from Macedonia and from Greece to resolve this problem? I mean, should the name of the country be changed and if yes what should be the name of the country?

  • most politicians prefer a geographical or national adjective to the name just as "Northern" Macedonia, "Slavo"macedonia etc. But it's difficult to accept it by both sides because both they fear that the rival country could base an aggressive policy to this name, e.g: "It's northern Macedonia, so it is a part of real Macedonia, let's make it ours!" etc by both sides. It is sure that they need another name. It would be ideal for Scopia to have the name Macedonia but Greece will only be damaged.

  • keep dreaming !

  • What's this about "A love stronger than the gods"? Jason doesn't meet Medea until, like, the last 20 minutes of the movie. :P

  • This sucks! Why would anybody pay to watch this?

  • what a piece of shit...they had MUCH better sword and sandal movies back in the day...

  • is talos in this version? If so, i doubt it'll be up to the challenge against harryhausen's superior titan

  • nope he's not in it. the giant thing u see is meant to be poseidon

  • I wanna watch this again...
