Great days in Old England when you could actually sit down in a cafe or a pub and have a fag.Imagine trying it now with all the smug little holier-than-thou non smokers. There would be a stampede to get to tell teacher first.
This could only happen in England. I know it's almost 40 years ago, but the English just don't complain. They make the best of it, as demonstrated in this clip.
@angels77100 You obviously know nothing about England at all! England are best known both other nations as the country that most likes to complain. Look, I'm doing it now, and I'm English! But I'm being serious.
@Eastenderzz No no no no no no. England is simply not known for complaining. And if you consider that 'complaining' then you're in no position to judge whether England can complain or not. Seriously, that is surely one of the weakest efforts of complaining I've ever witnessed. And you were being serious as well?
@angels77100 I thought you'd be American. Your as dumb as shit! I don't know where you have come to think we don't complain, but if you ever have been to here (which according to what you believe isn't likely) but one thing you'll notice is that English people aren't as nice and smiley as you think. I never said that video was complaining. And just remember that video was filmed 40 years ago. Things have changed.
@Eastenderzz Well I'm no expert on England. But I've seen your ' Father Ted, Are you being Served, and your Rab C, Nesbit. And it's quite funny. But no, I'm obviously no expert on England. Doesn't mean I don't know anything about your culture, humor etc.
@angels77100 Never said you didn't. I am not trying to start an argument. I only got annoyed because you said something that is simply not true, just stereotypical.
Does anyone remember the one where they put an electro-magnet under a sidewalk ,by a bus stop, then filled a suitcase full of metal, put the case on the magnet , turned it on and then a Beautiful girl or an old lady would ask men to help carry it to their car. The guys would try , to no avail , to pick it up and finally give up and then (with the magnet turned off )the girl would pick it up and walk away . Fun. . .ney !
Ya, or the one where they asked a guy to simply cut some woodenshelves. He would measureand cut the wood but he couldn't see that behind him they would make the sides of the shelf either WIDER or NARROWER, so he haveto start again, only to have same trick pulled on him again and again, until he so frustrated he's practically pulling his hair out.Cracked me up !
if thier had been a normal type of cup manufactured with the saucer stuck on it, this would not have been half as funny
