@mymomsaysimweird Nope I wouldnt call it over working him, they could of atleast tryed to save his arm by having him not cock his arm behind his shoulder everytime he throws. You see his elbow bent behind his back and thats what will cause tommy john surgery because the Rotator cuff inside your shoulder usally isnt strong enough
@theshitizhere im a fetus and can throw a 987,365,652,168,662,877,863,549,087,592,754,723,656,783,288,796,587,946,517,894,568,795,687,956,879,568,748,745 mph change up so up yours! =D
I see three things he does wrong, takes side step which messes up his balance, he twists his pull-up leg towards second base and lastly he lands wrong, too much to the right probably a result of aforementioned twist so he's throwing a bit across his body. To correct it, he should step straight back and probably everything else will fall into place. His pitching coach should try that once he is back from rehabilitation.
@rhymeister He is in the pros and is one of the best, so i wouldn't tell him what to do. Besides as far as i know, Doc Holliday, Lincecum, Price, Lester....they all step to the side.
Ubaldo throws 96 but has reach 99 a few times but not 104. strasburg throws 102. but Aroldis Chapman hit 105 in a game and is the fastest recorded in a game
@stirling513 Pitching overhand is a lot better for your arm in the long term. You are supposed to ice your arm after every time you pitch, rather it hurts or not. Ice it on your elbow for atleast 15 min, than your shoulders.
@stirling513 Does your arm extend out enough behind your back when you pitch overarm? A lot of young pitchers keep their arm too close to their body when they reach back before bringing the arm forward to pitch.
Actually the kid does sit in the mid-to-upper nineties... Which is scary, now his 2-seam or sinker as he calls it is more in the 93-95 range but his 4-seam is a legit 80 on the scouting scale.
he doesnt throw 100 every pitch... hes probably around 96-98 most of the time, if he threw 100 every pitch for say 70 pitches a game (not including sliders, changeups, etc.) his arm would have surely fallen off by now
