ice cube is directing movies, and a very good actor he earns all his money with his movies, so he can make hardcore rap with raw lyrics and not be depending on a label. Dre made milions with selling beats he dindn't think were good enough for him, you don't have to be commerical to sell records tupac's All Eyez On Me sold 65 milion records, all wayne's albums together haven't sold so much.
