Just from first impressions, this looks like it has a definite chance of being one of the best anime movies ever made. On par with Akira and Vampire Hunter D.

I believe this is only the first movie that is set to adapt the entire series. Personally, I think covering Berserk this way is a fantastic idea. Rebooting anime in a weekly format would only give rise to unnecessary and unwanted fillers or, simply cause the series to cut short again. Better to make this first movie then wait to continue on (imo).

My all time favorite anime. Was so disappointed it was never finished. I dont think the whole series can be put into just one movie. But..finally...finally...it's back on the radar. Hopefully it gets finished. I love the manga too butseeing it on film was an experience like no other. The relationships you build with the characters only to have it end how it did..and then not finish...i have hope again. Fuck yea.

I have a HUGE F*CKING issue with the very apple seed-esque art style approach to this... Why cell shady cg look?! This show and manga is absolutely elite and now this chop? It kind of makes me sad but maybe once I see it I'll ease into it... But damn, why not just rebeef the art style? *sigh*

Not to be the bearer of bad news but it's going to take a hell of a lot longer then february 2012.

First of all it's got to be put in theatres, where it will ONLY BE in Japanese IN JAPAN.

Then we got to wait for it to come out on DVD which will take a few months, THEN when it comes out on DVD the sub-groups have to get it, sub it, then finally upload it for us to watch.

It says February but in reality we won't be seeing it til probably late 2012.

not liking the 2nd piece of music. it seems like it belongs to a disney cartoon and not to this series which is much much to dark. the graphics do look amazing though. I wonder whether this will cover the whole of the golden age arc cos it will have to be a pretty long film.

@randyroo2 Obviously, some scenes will be changed. That music will probably be used int he romance scene between casca and Guts. and 3 mvoies are supposed to cover the golden age arc.

I really find it a shame Susumu Hirasawa is only doing the trailer music though =\ I would've liked him to make the music for the entire movie, just like he did the original series.
