    Does your organization have a dispatcher who controls the track assignments to avoid conflicts among all the trains shown? Are the block signals fully functional? I did see a clip on this video where the crossing gate didn't lower when a train crossed.

    I'd love to stop by some Sunday, as I only live about 20 miles away and have only seen your place from the rail trail which runs next to it.

    The 2009 public dates are: 6/28; 7/26; 8/23 and possibly Perkiomen Day on 9/13.

  • Can you go on any given weekend and ride or do they have special days to ride?

  • They are open to the public on certain days. I believe it's the last Sunday of the month... Do a search for their website. It is worth a trip, they are a great bunch of folks. My railroad club went there for a summer picnic and we were all impressed!

  • The Hudson is coal and always was coal.

    There is another Hudson at PLS not in the video that was oil and now coal.

  • woah actually i was wrong. the hudson is coal fired. i remember at one time it was an oil burner. so i kept assuming it was.
