I absolutely love this. I would love to see this place and bring my son. I've always loved miniature live steam railroading. I hope to be able to join one of these clubs someday.
Does your organization have a dispatcher who controls the track assignments to avoid conflicts among all the trains shown? Are the block signals fully functional? I did see a clip on this video where the crossing gate didn't lower when a train crossed.
I'd love to stop by some Sunday, as I only live about 20 miles away and have only seen your place from the rail trail which runs next to it.
The 2009 public dates are: 6/28; 7/26; 8/23 and possibly Perkiomen Day on 9/13.
They are open to the public on certain days. I believe it's the last Sunday of the month... Do a search for their website. It is worth a trip, they are a great bunch of folks. My railroad club went there for a summer picnic and we were all impressed!

Wonderful video Joe! How can I get a DVD copy for myself? I'm the owner of the Hudson.
steampipe1 4 years ago
The Hudson is coal and always was coal.
There is another Hudson at PLS not in the video that was oil and now coal.
steampipe1 4 years ago
woah actually i was wrong. the hudson is coal fired. i remember at one time it was an oil burner. so i kept assuming it was.
Engineer5344 4 years ago
