  • We Made That In School

  • This stuff is cheese you derp

  • this guy must be a moron cus this is how you make simple cheese's including mozzarella

  • it's cheese

  • This is the curd of milk made with pastuerized milk. It's the basics of cheese.

  • So how do you figure it's plastic? It's cheese.

  • and people drink that?

  • *its kinda like plastic* ITS NOTHING LIKE PLASTIC!

  • Indian food, has a cheese called "Paneer", and that's how it's made. It actually taste good because the curd doesn't retain the vinegar flavor... it was in the left over liquid... but anyway if you strain the curd enough, form it into a ball... then salt the outside.... and bake it. its used as a replacement of chicken in a lot of dishes... same concept as tofu.

  • Thanks for this my primary school teacher wife wanted to show the kids how to do it.

    Great video

  • I did this and it never got hard. did i do it wrong? or does this just not work how ppl think it does?

  • Cheese, try boiling herbs with your milk next time. Garlic and Basil or Onion would be good.

  • CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

  • the "chease" is actually denaturized milk protiens. It's fine to eat and is prety much the same thing that is in cottage chease or really any chease.

  • I made some things with the casein plastic and hid them from my cat while they were drying. But on the 4th day the cat found them and ate them >.<. So what can i use to protect them? Is there a coating or something i can mix into it? thanks.

  • how deos it smelll ???????????///// lol

  • @Kubulgum like vinegar. i tried it for a science project

  • Just by saying that it's not cheese doesn't change the fact that you just made cheese. Look up how to make cheese on youtube. yu'll be surprised

  • How hard does it actually get?

  • actually that's not like cheese, it IS cheese, the easiest cheese you can make!!

  • You know this is used to make cheese?

  • can you use red wine vinegar?

  • does it melt?

if it does not them to soften in

  • shit

  • this plastic is Bio-deagrable?

  • Ricotta Cheese ftw. Lol.. and dude those cheese curd looking like things, are cheese curds. If you had a piece of cheese cloth, you could make ricotta cheese and get a good cheese from that. -_- Hilarious though.

  • No...That's how you actually MAKE CHEESE. Not plastic...

  • KewlXD

  • how hard does it get?

i'm fixing up my cap gun and need a hard plastic that can withstand a beating

  • I put it on my toast its great!

  • You guys be quit!!! He was showing every one how to make something like plastic!!!!

  • doesthis content oil? If not we need more ppl like you!

  • That is the recipe for ricotta cheese you dumb ass

  • It's cheese fucktard

  • lmao color changing oatmeal boals FTW

  • when i make it its all grainy and doesnt stay together in a wad, what did i do wrong? thanks.

  • @matt25675 It's not plastic. It's cheese lol. You've heated the milk too much and stirred it too much.

  • Good lord..it's not plastic or even close. The vinegar is just causing the milk to curdle.

  • I've done this in school in our lab :)

but i think it feels like eggs! haha lol xD

  • not telling u much, im working on a portable console, and i want to design it with plastic parts(like all consoles)....can i use THIS kind of plastic YOU make to make the parts i need?

  • What are the amounts that u used?

  • I've tasted it ... it tastes like mozarella ;))

  • you make cheese

  • after it hardens does it break easily?

  • what would i add to make the plastic more durable? and would this make a good mold for things i want to make?

  • i think u need long life milk or normal milk

  • DAmn it is cheese...

  • does it make hard? how?

  • will powdered milk work just asking.

  • @iamcartoonnetworkfan

    no, and its cheese

  • Can you add sulfur to this mix to make the plastic stronger, If so how do you do this ?

  • Why do people keep saying it's gross, what makes it look gross? It's just milk and vinegar >.>

  • does it go mouldy??

  • Just to let you know on iPhone and iPad the subscribe letters fail

  • uhm... that's just cheese.

  • Does whole milk or a higher fat content work better?

  • @TakronRust yes. it will also be a much denser consistency

  • If this homemade casein is anything like what manufacturers use in consumer products, you should probably point out that it does not hold up well if exposed to water for prolonged periods of time. Swells and deforms, as many owners of fountain pens made with casein find out the hard way when they leave a section to soak to loosen old ink. Does not turn out well. ;)

  • what if i put a small amount of starch on the milk to make the plastic more flexible and not brittle.will it work?...pls tell me!!!

  • @sSyreNe21 id imagine. starch is a thickener so im sure it would

  • @sSyreNe21 lame

  • didnt work for me , instead I had like millions of tiny milk pieces n what the hell man that smells like a burp of a dead baby

  • @Wintendows

*afraid to ask how you might know what the burp of a dead baby smells like...* LOL

  • @Wintendows you gotta heat the milk up good. and stir as you add vinegar. were you using skim milk? whole milk or 1% is the best

  • Now I know not to drink milk after eathing my grandma's collard greens right out the pot or microwave (she loves to add vinegar to greens).

  • it looks like cheese because it IS cheese.

  • i thought this was how you make farmers cheese?

  • how long do u have 2 wait for it 2 harden?

  • Thats just Ricotta cheese.

  • could you use this recipe to make vampire fangs? lol. just wondering.

  • @hunterholy yeah you could try, im not sure how well it would work out though :P

  • @imthbst lol...i did try...i ended us swallowing all of it. they melted.

  • this is awesome, i cant believe how horrible it tastes

  • I made an iPhone/ iPod touch dock, and it's able to hold it in both landscape and portrait positions. My iPods case is used to determine if it'll hold it. It's drying at the moment, and no I won't sell it, it's too crappy. But I will start using cardboard to hold a flat shape and food coloring for next time. Thanks for this video. 5/5 stars. I wish I could of rated 100 stars instead of the maximum 5 stars. :)

  • @oliver18754 thanks man i appreciate the kind words:) you should make a response video when its done. id love to see the end result!

  • very good video, we did this experiment in science today so we used filters and stuff, but u did that fine, keep up the good work mate

  • @PivotLoverGuy thanks bud, i always appreciate kind words :)

  • thanks so it turns to kinda toy plastic?

  • it's called cheese

  • @inomnetempusgratia except i have no intention of ever posting another video of this type. i did it for no other reason other than fun. and i dont even give a shit if its good or not, like i said there are a bunch more out there, im not insecure. besides you were the one complaing it was to long. i couldnt care less how many views or how good the over all video is. i made in entrirely for fun.

  • @inomnetempusgratia then cry about it somewhere else. if you cant wait 2 minutes then you have some anxiety problems

  • Yawn

  • @ciaobella34 you could have stopped watching at any time....

  • this tastes great with abit of salt and pepper. just like tangy cottage cheese.

  • @zenmasterace oh cool! i never thought it would taste good considering vinegar is used. thanks for sharing!

  • @imthbst poached eggs also use vinegar.

  • Xuncoco!!

  • that is CURD.

  • they actually sell some knitting needles made out of this stuff- amazing!

  • @teceyS3 really? thats neat! thanks for sharing! :D

  • isn't that clay

  • Comment removed

  • does it gets harder ?

  • @ACEGR1 nice grammar

  • @robertisamazingful -_- sakes ... thanks

  • @ACEGR1 no probem

  • could you use this for lego products like brckarms and stuff like that?

  • will it go off?

  • this is a type of air dry clay just so ya knoiw

  • nvm why do i always ask stupid questions

  • so since its a type of plastic, can u use for make vampire fangs or only regular plasic

  • IS this what they use to make castings?

How strong do you think it is?

  • no, sorry. but you can let it dry, it may get crumbly

  • could you pore it in a mold and have it come out that shape?

  • you cant melt it, its no actually legit plastic, its just something that resembles the properties. it would probly burn if you melted it

  • casein.

  • COuld i make an invention prototype with it?

  • what do you have in mind

  • a bowl kind of

  • yeah maby

  • Comment removed

  • Nice video but that kitchen has horrible lighting

  • yeah, sory about that, it was because i had the lights dimmed about half. but thanks for commenting :]

  • i need a plastic mold for a usb circutboard case so i could use that as box or case

  • it probly wouldnt work

  • cool

  • thanks

  • what kind of milk? does it matter if it is whole milk, 1%, 2%?

and i guess you use regular store bought vingar.

in what propertions 20 onches milk to 1 onch of vingar

  • it doesnt matter, but whole milk or 1% probly works best because the calcium and fat condences when you add the vinegar. also it doesnt matter really what the milk to vinegar ratio is, you can experiment with it. i reccomend 8:1 milk to vinegar

  • Does it melt if u heat it,if so how hot can it get

  • i dont think so

  • yeah umm if you mix whole milk with orange juice it'll do the same thing

  • correct! any acidic material works

  • ummmmmm i'm doing that for my science project and i wanted to know what is it supposed look like????

  • it should look like a glob of white

not liquidy but a bit solid and smooth to the touch, also should be squishy

  • man it's a way to make cheese ^^ *plastic* yummy plastic and it doesn't matter how much vinegar u use

  • it kind of does becaue if you use too to much the "plastic" wont set quite right

    but you are mostly right

it takes lots of vinegar to screw it up :)

  • so your hieght is 4 or 5 (medium only)?????Ü

  • you can do it as hot as you want but medium is good because it isnt to hot or cold

  • can it be used to make a mold to make stuff with it and will it harden.

  • yeah about that range it doesnt really matter as long as your higer than 3 but lover than 6

  • what can you use it for a mold.

  • yup

  • pretty much anything

    just experiment

  • If your going to make farmers cheese try substituting vinegar(acid) with lemon juice(acid). You might like that taste better.

  • ReaLLY? THaT SouNDS LiKe iT'D Be FuN To Do. ^_^

  • hmm i might try that

    thanks:)

  • It's called farmers cheese. I made some with hot pepper flakes and liquid smoke. It's great on crackers.

  • it does harden

but only for a certain amount of time

    then it can get crumbly

it realy depends on how much of the ingredients you use i hope that helped :)

  • so does it really harden up like plastic? or is it more "flubbery" like you said like a bouncy ball?

and yes i realize both are plastic, but you get the idea

  • is it strong enough to make like, toys n junk out of?

  • maybe. you could try

  • will it dissolve in water?

  • good question. i dont think it will because its sort of flubbery lol, but maby

  • no im not, i live in canada actualy, but yeah you pretty much get cheese curds from his.

  • you know what cheese curds are so are you from wisconsin?

  • Isn't this similar to the process used to make cottage cheese??

  • yeah... i never really thought of that

  • can you use that plastic for making helmets? or something like that?

  • you could try but it would take alot of milk

  • Does it matter how much vinegar you add to it?

  • no it shouldnt but you only want to add enough so the milk desolves

  • thats cool

  • ...No but really does this smell bad?

  • no it doesnt smell bad, but im sure if you left it out for a good 2-3 days it would

  • LOL, my bro found this trick in his 5th grade science book......

  • so...

  • im guessing it smells bad...

  • no actualy it doesnt, if you take a good solid whiff of it it isnt bad, just a slight vinegar scent

  • It tastes nice! Milky like

  • does it become hard? or stay soft?

  • it doesnt become rock hard like real plastic because its just a simple acid/base substance but if you leaave it in a bright ventalated area (lke in a window or outside on a hot day)it might solidify
