  • my Harley laughs....

  • They don't show you the part where it pukes oil and dies LOL

  • This is one Badasss Bike. Has lots of punch for 300cc. Change the sproket,Pipe and jets and you'll get over 100mph. Thats FAST for a 400lb bike. I like mine cruising at 75-80/.. It sure turns lots of heads at a fraction of the cost of a harley or custom chopper!! TTEKULVE needs to get a life. just because he got 1 that needed work and he didnt get his whines and whimpers met doesnt mean they have bad service at JP. I think They're Awesome over there ay Johnny Pag. mines an '08 spyder 300cc

  • yeah im thinking about buying an '08 spyder 300.... there is one for sale here for $3,000

  • 3,000 is a really good deal I paid 4,500 for mine. It is definately worth spending a few extra bucks though and getting the after market exhaust( or just cut out the baffels) ,jet the carb, and change the sproket to a highway gear. all that will only cost a few hundered bucks and this bike will be all you need it to be. post some pics when you get it.!!!!

  • I have 2 300 Spyders... bought a pink one for my wife. Fun machines, no doubt, and I have had no problems with either one. They handle 2-3 hour trips no problem. A little buzzy but not bad vibration wise. Definitely invest in the free flow pipes and jet kit though. It made a HUGE difference in the sound and feel of both my bikes.

  • @rockheadrocks 2-3 hour trips? Man, I've been over 8 hours straight on this babe (3 little rests of 15min each). This machine is awesome for long trips (except for the rear part of oneself...). Here I can push her over high hills and valleys, rain, hot and cold climate just in one run from one city to another. Not a single problem. Indeed I think she has saved my bottom line two or three times (quite stable if tyres are OK) even over long undesirable bumps. I hope you still enjoy them!

  • Not much on customer service in my experience. Mine leaked from day one and my dealer closed. It was like pulling teeth to get it fixed and when I finally did.. they would only pay parts. Stuck me with big labor bill. I emailed JP himsef and he said he okayed the bill to be payed. But IT NEVER WAS!!!!. I would spend my money with a company that takes care of it's consumers and in my experience, they did not!!!!!

  • thats what happens when u buy crap

  • @carsnwomen91 Did you meant Harleys?

  • Aw, these look cute.

  • Think if it would become legal with much bigger chopper-mopeds, with V-Twin engines with size big as 300cc, sounding like a Harley and with full legal freedom to customize the bike quite much as you want, goes up to max speed in highways like a car, but in the city, lower speed due to safety reasons, so people wouldn't drive them to crazy, and legal to drive them when your at minimum year 15, with no requirement to get a licens at all, just instructions, that would be one nice moped no doupt.

  • Im Asian...but I love these old school american styles, just got my L's and would love to own one of them. But I wonder if I do get one, would that considered as being disrespectful to Harley/Chopper owners since I am an asian? =) ...i just hate jap bikes

  • Ihaven't had any Harley owners disrespect the JP Spuder. All I can tell you is that all the Harley guys that have looked at the Spyder's think it's great, well built and good looking. They just can't believe the price!

  • Who fukn cares if your white, black, brown, or purple... Its a FREE COUNTRY and you can buy and enjoy whatever you want! IT'S YOUR MONEY, Buy one and strap an American flag bandana on your head and rock on! And if a racist red-neck wants to make faces at you, you make sure to say hi and tell his miserable @ss to have a nice day!! Then ride away hahahaahahahaaaaa

  • what?

  • a lot of noise and not going ANYWHERE!! oh well, what do you expect from a 300cc engine, right? Okay sound though...fuck it.

  • great bike i live in the uk are there any dealers over here i can get one or what are the costs of importing one

  • Sorry but the Johnny Pag Spyders are only available in the US.

  • @MRCBXMAN look it up buddy the spyder is available nearly everywhere im in aus we got a distributor over here in france mexico italy china etc they chsnge the name is all in aus they are called hunter spyder

  • search AJS motorcycles, and look for the EOS Range. They are EXACTLY the same and come from the same factory in China - just different stickers on it ! Johnny Pag is just a distributor trading on and old but respected name, and not a manufacturer (anymore.... like AJS in the UK)

  • Just read a test in Bike Magazine of the AJS 125. It's a ringer for the Spyder but it only has a 125cc engine in it. Top speed was 55 but it drew a crowd everywhere it went just like the Johnny Pag Spyders do. This is the problem with having the Chinese build something for you: They can't be trusted to honor exclusive arrangements like they have with Johnny Pag. At least they give the Brits the 300cc engine we get!

  • All Johnny Pags come from the Lifeng Factory in China. This company are an OEM manufacturer to the big four Japanese brands and so have a decent quality assurance. Johnny Pag is just a distributor for their range in the US, and uses the brand he built up in the USA when he actually made bikes himself.

  • AJS are the same thing. They are an old British motorcycle company, long since gone bust, like JP, and are now importing Lifeng bikes with their name on them, because UK people are more likely to by an AJS than a Lifeng (ie who are they???)..... They are not 'exclusive' to JP I'm afraid.

  • They export around the world as other names too. In Australia for eg, they are called 'Hunters', and in Scandinavia they are called 'Regal Raptors'..... JP claims to have designed them, but I doubt this very much. He just saw a good thing when it was thrust his way, and added a few personal touches, claiming rights to it.

  • The actual bike was copied directly from a Harley Softail, with a variety of smaller engines to suit local learner legal and emission laws. These are 125, 150, 250, and 300cc. Some are air cooled, some are water cooled. I have a the 300cc water cooled UK AJS version.

  • bike sounds great i'm planning on getting one in the near future. ive seen alot of videos and ive never once seen anybody put a key in a ignition so my question is how would you keep from getting it stolen without it being locked up?

  • It's the same key arrangement Harley's use. You open the ignition cover and isert your key and open the lock. Then after that you can just turn the bike on and off by turning the ignition lock housing. If you need to park the bike securely you just open the cover and put the key in and turn it to the lock position.

It's a great bike. The new generation handles and runs even better than the originals!

  • thanks alot i found a dealer here in oklahoma about 2 hours from me and he said they're $4,500 out the door so i might just have to see about checking them out they're suppose to have 08 models coming in another week or so. i heard trying to get a bike financed is hard as fuck tho.

  • hey john im from checotah oklahoma and I just purchased a bike in salisaw (it was very hard to find especially in the color I wanted) but I love the bike, although I had to pay 4500.00 for mine as well with good credit and about 500 down you should be able to finance as I did

  • yeah i planned on putting a grand down when i get my income tax after the first part of the year. but i've also heard that jp is suppose to be coming out with a 800cc engine. ive just been kinda afraid of getting one cause of my size. i'm 6'4 and 300lbs i wasn't sure how the bike would handle someone of my size. i really want one tho :( what do your payments run you a month since you put $500 down.

  • hey bro, my payments are 97 a month. im 6'3 200 and it hauls me around without a bit of problem. im 26 with a good driving record and insurance is 80 a year for liability

  • loely bike !

  • lovely bike !

  • Did u feel any vibration on the stearing wheel??? Some ppl say they do when they started to gain speed, is it true?

  • Vibration isn't bad in the handle bars at all. I feel more vibration in the foot pegs once I get up to about 70 mph and the RPMs are real high. But if you are wearing good boots, they will absorb most of that, plus a lot of guys are trading out the 34 tooth stock rear sprocket for a 30 tooth to knock the RPMs down at the higher speeds.
