The other day when I was playing the game my mom walked in just as this scene started to play. She took one look at Thane and asked,"Why is the creature from the Black Lagoon in a space age game? Also why is he dressed from head to toe in leather?"

Nah. Samara would probably kill Thane were she not under oath to Shepard.

@merksperk2 How do you figure? I mean, she and Thane live under strick codes of life and practice, Thane's only killed those who diserve it, otherwise his contacts killed through him. He's always tried to savethe innocent, Samara would gun them all down if she had to.

But does that make Thane an innocent person to Samara? Whether or not Thane views himself or his employers as the perpetrator, Thane HAS killed innocent people. Yes, he's always tried to save the innocent, but that doesn't apply to some of the jobs that he's taken. Plus, Thane WILL kill his target whether he/she is armed or not (Nassana for example). Samara's Code views killing unarmed people as a bad thing, evidenced by her battle with Nihlus.

@merksperk2 But Samara killed an unarmed member of the Eclips and would knowingly kill innocent people if she was detained or arrested. Plus, this is all speculation, we can't just say what should or shouldn't happen.

I didn't think of it as that. and equally, Samara chased Nihiuls because she saw him kill someone she assuemd was an unarmed civilian, he could have been killing a corrupt memeber of law enforcement. Her code dictates "harsh action." She sees what she assumes is wrong and acts upon that, Shepard and Thane act differently in terms of moral conduct. I Happen to argee with theirs more than I do with hers.

@merksperk2 i don't think the victim being unarmed has anything to do with it. Having a weapon doesn't mean it's not murder anymore. The absence of a gun simply emphasizes the crime.

at the end mission, on the first prt, i had thane going through thevent ducts, seeing as hes an assassin and such, unfortunately the harbingerdude pulsed shot him in the face while closing the doors, then in the second part legion died on me

What will happen to Thane in ME3? If they cure him that would be too anti-climactic, but if he dies abruptly at the beginning of the game that would be stupid.

@Buchholz101 he'll probably die in ME3, sometime during the story like a decision, or probably if he survives the game he'll die in the epilogue, its sad to see such a badass die either way :(

I love Thane and would love him in my party in ME3, but I fear they will do the whole cameo thing with everyone again, or kill Thane off (his illness) to make it easier! I hope they all (or most of them) stick around, but seeing as everyone can die, I dont hold my breath :(

I love this scene!! I remember seeing it for the first time and just thinking... YES!!

Thane is just amazing. I also love Garrus and Legion. Followed by Mordin and Tali. Samara is pretty cool... What can I say, they did a really good job with the characters! ^_^

Thane+Garrus= holy shit, could this crew get more awesome!? Then Grunt shows up and I find out, yes, yes it can. But yeah, Thane and Garrus are by far my two favorite Mass Effect crew members other than Ashley, who sadly wasn't a party member in ME2.

I thought this scene was so badass when I first saw it.

Thane's definitely one of my favourite new characters in Mass Effect. Actually, I pretty much like the new crew. Except for Zaeed, though... I don't like him.

I dont like him that much either.When you do the mission for him if you chose to save the people at the end of the mission you can perform the paragon ending and he can become loyal to you then he becomes a lil better :D
