  • lol, i got a bacon from the early 20s, if u wanna see it its on my profile. but any way, thats a real nice banjo u got :)

  • Let's hear more from this gorgeous banjo. That's my kind of instrument.

  • play the banjo properly , thats disgusting

  • @wartree If you paid attention lol ... I'm still workin' at it. Sorry if your ears got hurt in the mean time LOL

  • It's actually almost the same chords as "the Charleston", if you notice it..

  • You know .. I was thinking the same thing.

  • Btw. It's a really cool tune! Got chords?

  • You play it too much like a guitar, I'd say... I myself am still learning playing my own banjo. And it's a long process. But you're on your way :) Go for it.

  • Thank you very much, Yeah, it's a process I've yet to master but I don't give up easy LOL

  • Thanks for the reply-I think my Silver Bell #4 or #5 was a early 1900 model, the B and dD's I had were a little later, like 1920's. The pots were so thick , really built well. So dumb that I sold them. The Sultana I had ws a 5 string, all 24 caret gold pot and a pearloid neck, and the Montana was a plectrum in pearloid. Probably quite unique =. Europe is picking up a lot of the old banjos nowadays. Especially tenor and plectrum. The 5 string guys a conerting everything they can. Enjoy yours

  • Ive seen your gal ;)

jk...thanks for sharing. I love that banjo.

  • Thank you very much.

  • I had a few B and d's- Sultana, Montana and B&d number 5?? i forgot--works of art, play a little flat tone wise but are pure treasures. Sold mine back in the early 90's when they had little value. Ha, my then pre war gibson was worth, appraised, 500 dollars then-now 5000 plus. How bout the b and d's??

  • Bacon banjos where the Cadillac of their day. The "special" models were the work horses of the brand. Any "silverbells" were pretty much taken up by the pro's and soloists. Depending on the condition, a special is averaged priced around 700 to 800 bucks retail. The silverbells can get quite expensive.

  • sounds out of tune
