CJ is toast. When she gets dumped by the electorate on the 12th, she's going to get dumped by her own party, probably in favor of another do-nothing, Mike Farnsworth. Bring 'em on!
Exactly. CJ spends the last 4 years almost silent on key issues and it only seems during election time she speaks. BC needs someone who will do more than the absolute minimum required to keep a job. Plus why the hell are they running the same damm campaign as they were in 2001. The new NDP is especially dangerous - at the least during the previous election the NDP admitted to previous mistakes. This time around the mentality regarding 1991-2001 is "What mistakes?" ............
And for those NDPers on here who will try refute me and state the NDP has faced their previous mistakes this election - All I say is check your inbox for mail from Jeff Fox from May 3rd (debate day). They literally describe BC as being in economic perfection during their reign and the email is pretty much an admission they will return to their old ways. I guess the NDP is like fashion.... what is old is now new again.
There was nothing wrong with the Fast Cat ferries-- they were built by BC labour, they were innovative and widely regarded as cutting edge engineering, and Gordon Campbell used them as *political fodder* and sold them for a DIME. What a disgrace. Meanwhile, his government went 800 million dollars over budget on a convention center that doesn't serve ANY OF US here on Vancouver Island or the rest of the province.
Lol the deisgn at that point had already been done before prior to our fast cats being built so they were not cutting edge. They were uterly piecs of shit and that is why no one wanted to buy them. Why on gods green earth would you spend more the buy a piece of shit, when we could have had it built cheaper and better in Korea among other places? There are indeed places in Canada where quality ships are made.....too bad it is not in BC
Oh yes there was! YOU obviously never had your shoreline eroded when one of those things went past! Then there were all the mechanical breakdowns. They are/were a piece of crap.
The NDP didn't destroy our natural resource based economies. You need a refresher in history. The Asian economic crisis, illegal US softwood lumber tariffs and an unresponsive federal government destroyed our natural resource-based economies, and Campbell's government hammered the nail in the coffin. Obviously you've not visited any of those resource-based economies. I live in one. When we asked for help, we were LAUGHED at by this government. The Minister actually said, and I quote, "BOO HOO".
Here's a good quote from Vaughn Palmer today ... "But (the NDP) would also be budgeting for a deficit several times larger than the one in the government plan.
"If so, that may recall the record from their last time in government, when they produced eight deficits in 10 years and doubled the provincial debt. Not the most welcome point of comparison when opinion polls already suggest that voters think the Liberals are the best choice to manage in tough economic times. " - March 4, 2009
and that there is the intelligence difference between the ndp and the bcliberals. if you can't defend your opinion, it's not an opinion worth holding.
Wow! Impressive woman. Time to start putting people first in BC. Is the downtown eastside of Vancouver part of "the best place on earth"? We can't take anymore of this. We are the richest society in Canadian history. There's room for continued economic growth and room to repair our social bankruptcy. We need someone like Carole to get us out of this. Keep going!!!
And on Dec 6, 2010 she resigns. She messed up on 3 issues in my opinion
1. She was invisible on the HST
2. The MLA salary hikes was botched & she offered to give $ to charity. Lame
3. Carbon tax issue was botched. Many NDP'ers were angry with her for that

No I haven't, but my sister was in high school up until last year. In most of her classes there were 35-40 kids.

40 kids? HAH! Have you actually went to a school recently?

You do know I meant otherwise?
It does benefit certain groups of people however.

At least she stands up for us. When the teaches last went on strike, she was the one standing right along with them. Campbell would never do that.

Great video about a great leader. I saw this at the convention a few weeks ago and was hoping it would get posted here.
