Dave, I have a gooched Taylor. I just bought it for a cheap price, but it is far beyond my skills to bring it back. The top is warped and humped high under the bridge, so the action is way high. And the back is cracked running straight down the back. It is a 310, can I save her? Can I send you pics or the guitar to look at, work on in a video if you like, pay you? Thanks, Bill

it's because while the front has three latches and the back has two hinges they put another latch on the back so that it's more structurally sound....hope that makes sense

Dave, we've seen you fix cracked guitar sides using microscopic drills with ingenious handcrafted acrylic clamps that utilize tuning gears, and how do you fix the Snark, freakin electrical tape??? I was half expecting you to come up with an aluminum mold and extrude a new plastic Snark neck. So now you know what you can do to fix that pesky side latch on that case, just duct tape it.

Dave, Do you have any idea what an Oscar Schmidt OE40B by Washburn guitar is worth?.. it's a big black archtop that I am going to sell for a friend of mine.. it's in really nice shape... I just need to figure out the gooch in the switch.. it's been sitting for a few years hopefully a good cleaning will cure it.

Nice new specs, Dave. Kinda look like mine. As for your hands, try contast baths. Sit at a double sink. In one sink, water about as hot as you can stand it, in the other, cold water. Keep your hand in one for 20-25 seconds, then the other for the same amount of time. Do it for about 20 minutes. I used it after hand surgery. It helps with swelling.
