  • This movie will fuck your mind.

  • @KingRobbStark Then turn it inside out and backwards, and fuck it again.

  • @heavybass4ever Momento, Mulholland Drive, Donnie Darko, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and of course, Inception.

  • @ProfAbby13 Memento is one of my top 5 favourite movies, easily. I love that film so damn much. I'll probably watch this soon, hoping I'll like it!

  • One of the worst movies ever made

  • Shane Carruth is filming some of his new project in my town, The Colony, Texas. I just read it in the local paper, I think it's "Upstream Color",no info on it yet but I'm excited.

  • @SometimesIH8UUToob I can't wait for any future Carrath films. I really hope he continues his style of photography.

  • are there more films like this?!??!?!

  • Odds of understanding this movie: Still better than any state lottery.

  • Maybe one day I will watch this film but for now I will stay away from this film because trailer made me ;D

  • every single time i see this, when i see "to repair it all" i am reminded of laurie andersons the dream before. to repair the things that have been broken. but, there is a storm. and the storm keeps pushing the angel, backwards. into the future. and this storm, this storm. is called progress.

  • This makes Inception look like a Sesame Street Episode. Inception is great but overrated and isn't even in the same universe as Primer.

  • @moxyblackfiddle inception is a boring action film build of plot holes inside plot holes inside someone's dull and boring generic-action film-based dream. dunno why ppl think that inception is complex in any way. this one imo is way better. just watched it for the first time and going to rewatch it tomorrow.

  • I watched this just now.. at 3 in the morning. Half asleep and I have no idea what just happened, I didn't understand the movie at all.. Gonna have to re watch this again sometime when im fully awake

  • I love this movie so much... really really thought out.

  • I can't believe people are complaining about the amount of talking in the film; it never crossed my mind at all that there were excessive amounts of talking scenes. Maybe the general public are getting used to huge, action-filled films with minimal dialogue.

  • @skulleeman Because most people are fucking idiots. This is a brilliant film, but very complex. You need to use your brain. Which, frighteningly enough, is becoming to much to ask from your average viewer...

  • Trailer so doesn't do the film justice

  • if anyone claims that he understood this movie the first time he watched it, he's either a scientist or a liar

  • @Slipstream720 lol. im going to watch this movie now because of that.

  • all the talking.... talking. talking more talking. : /

  • Anyone who didn't like this movie didn't 'get' this movie. For those with the intelligence to figure it out it will be on your Top Ten Movies list.

  • Amazing movie...so blown away...I still know so little

  • I am watching this now but so far can not stand how much these guys are talkinG!!! I hope it gets better. I love these independent films

  • Looked up this movie on wikipedia. Read the first sentence. Movie over for me WTF!!!!

  • @MsRagerr

    Why's that?

  • @CrackThoseClaws I had no idea what they invited, and the first sentence told me it was a time machine. But I saw the movie anyway.

  • Happiness is what I want, not any of those things the trailer listed haha.

  • @Pooploops666 i suppose you wan't things to be happy. kind of like looking at the menu and thinking 'beeing full is what i wan't, but that's not listed'.. if that makes any sence

  • What a truly awful trailer to an amazing movie

  • I watched this movie and was blown away. Then I couldn't sleep because i was thinking so much about it, watched it again at six in the morning, ended up drawing out a diagram so that i would understand it better. Watched it the next day and now it's one of my favorite movies of all time. This movie is a puzzle, and yet i still haven't solved it completely.

  • great movie.

  • the cruelest thing that can happen to a person is that someone recommends this, utter utter incomprehensible shite.

  • @A1260T from the man with a room temp Iq?

  • worst thing ive ever seen bar none

  • @SconeMason excellent name

  • this gave me the idea of inventing a failsafe internet

  • what the hell ? still don't know what the movie is about lmfao

probably i've seen it now already by watching the trailer :3

  • @L2DragonHunter trust me, you'll watch it and won't know what it's about until about 3/4 of the way through. IT's FANTASTIC

  • Someone below mentioned a second clone of the original Aaron and I wanted to die all over again. Love the movie, just for fun.

  • can't wait for a topiary.

  • doesnt look low budget to me !

  • I'm in love with this movie

  • @jmarroyo90 Same. Damn, I will never experience such perfect film again.

  • Watched it this morning for the first time. Most of it went way over my head, but great art direction, especially for such a low-budget film. I'll definitely be watching this one a couple more times.

I don't really feel like the trailer is very parallel with the movie, though...

  • I don't know if this is a "good" movie, but I still feel raped by it the next day. impressive.

  • I just watched...and I feel like a truck ran over my head...go watch it..its all I can say...open a piratebay tab and watch

  • I had forgotten the title of this film, glad I stumbled on this trailer. Ladies and gents, forget not that the trailer is not always indicative of the films quality. I highly recommend this movie, it's very enjoyable to watch and it provokes a lot of thoughts/ideas. Worth your time!

  • if the movie sucks as much as the trailer... i dont even know...

  • This movie is one of my favorites. However, don't expect to understand it your first 6 times watching it =P

  • just 7000 dollar, 80 min of film total shot, the final films was 78 min long... And still a briliant movie... Some big ass hollywood productions could learn from this 1

  • Doesn't reflect the film itself but not a bad trailer either.

  • $7k budget + beautiful picture quality + fuck'in difficult story board = a great original movie ! Respect.

  • @TheSeveranz hells yes.

  • Oh, so many people giving a fuck and wanting one in return. Great movie, btw.

  • :: WARNING mild spoiler enclosed ::

Can anyone who's seen this identify the hooded character who breaks in Aaron's house to sedate him towards the end of the film ? I watched this weeks ago, so my memory may be faulty, but I don't recall seeing that character anywhere else in the film besides the closing scene...

  • @bussyahead09 I think that was aaron himself.

  • @bussyahead09 That would be a Second Clone of the original Aaron. There's a timeline on the internet that explains the Alternate Timelines and whatnot.

  • @RadonX9 In the context of the film, that absolutely makes sense. The only thing that threw me off was that,in that particular scene, I thought his doppleganger looked really similar to the translator in the final shot.

  • as much as i love time travel movies this looks like one that would go over my head, I don't think I have the mental capacity to think this much into a film

  • i don't get none of this shit. can someone explain what is going on in the film?

  • This looks awesome. I'm going to the premiere ^^

  • @MagnusRulerHardt your about 7 years to late for that there bucko..

  • @DoctaDeath

That's the point, idiot >.> Have you seen the film?

  • @MagnusRulerHardt the time travel from the movie dosent work like that, idiot <.< Have YOU seen the film?

  • @DoctaDeath

Yes, you idiot. If I started the machine before the movie, "THE MOVIE WORKS LIKE THAT", idiot. God damn fucking retards all over the internet... DOII.

  • @MagnusRulerHardt 1. You would've had built the machine in the film before/without knowing it from the film. -> impossible

    2. You would have to spend nearly 7 years in it with enough oxygen, food, water, etc... -> depending on the size of the machine most likely impossible

    3. Just to keep the pattern: You idiot, look the film.

  • @reptarozone

    1. You fucking idiot. Do you think it was supposed to be "possible"? The film is impossible.

    2. It's not supposed to be literal, you fucking retard. Think for a second. Just go with it, god damn fucking retarded monkey, you pile of filthy shit on an otherwise flawless day.

    3. You can't "look" a film. You can "watch" a film or "see" a film, but you can't "look" a film. You can't "keep a pattern". You can 'keep it going'. What the fuck are you, French or just mentally fucked? DERP.

  • @reptarozone

    2nd comment:

If the premiere was 5 days ago, would it be likely that I stayed in the machine for 5 days without enough oxygen and water? What if it was 10 days ago?

Conclusion: It doesn't fucking matter when the fuck the premiere was, 10 or 100 years ago, dipshit faggot. BECAUSE I WILL NEVER SIT INSIDE A TIME MACHINE ANYWAY! *SHOCK* AND I WILL NEVER TIME TRAVEL! *SURPRISE* BECAUSE IT'S IMPOSSIBLE! REGARDLESS OF OXYGEN LEVELS AND PREMIERE DATES! PIECE OF MOTHERFUCKING CRAP!

  • @MagnusRulerHardt Holy shit, calm the fuck down.

  • @Katykatytak lhh! rite. r they actually arguing over this piece crap? lol

  • @Katykatytak

    BWAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @MagnusRulerHardt All this effort because you made a lame joke that nobody thinks is funny. Besides you started giving dumb explanations. Insults, grammar-naziry and all-caps - one wonders how old you are. :D

  • @reptarozone

All this because I want to piss you off, you lame nerd. Rofl. But in all seriousness, behind lame insults like "piece of shit on a flawless day":

Really? Do you really have to just rain everywhere and protest little jokes that aren't even meant to make much of themselves? Did it start with "once upon a time" or "did you hear about the --- that wanted to ---"?

No, it - did - not.

    Eat my crap.

  • @MagnusRulerHardt You've obviosly never heard of CharlieIsSoCoolLike...

  • @RadonX9

    1) Who are you?

    2) Yes, I have.

    3) I don't watch his videos because I think he's kind of a douche.

    4) What has he got to do with this?

  • @MagnusRulerHardt I mean Time Travel IS possible.

  • @RadonX9

Ok. Cool, then I was right all along and I will certainly go to the premiere.

  • @RadonX9 Time travel is not possible. I could stay here explaining the whole thing but i doubt you will understand it. He got the last part of his video wrong where he says it is not impossible.

  • @nameless12345 Worm holes are possible, which makes the concept of time traveling possible. Just watch "CharlieIsSoCoolLike's" video about time travel, easy / short explanation for you.

  • @bawYARR like i said i could explain to you why it is not possible. Even if you had the energy to increase the size of a wormhole you would not be able to keep it open long enough to go through it. Its like when you put a microphone next to a speaker but instead of sound feedback you get radiation feedback and that is just one of many reasons why it is not possible. Don't listen to some kids theory when he hasn't gone in deep enogh.

  • @nameless12345 WE MUST GO DEEPER

  • @bawYARR BBWWAAAMMM

  • @nameless12345 Actually there's not anything in physics that would express time travel is absolutely impossible, just highly improbable.

  • @TheScienceFoundation currently the idea of traveling back in time is thought to be very improbable, but we know that it is possible to go forward in time by traveling fast enough because we age slower when traveling extremely fast. in other words, it is theoretically possible to have somebody in a ship flying really fast around the earth over and over again, and when he lands he will not have aged much but the world will have.

  • Best movie i have seen in a while. mash up the prestige, Pi, with a sprinkle of donnie darko and the jacket in there and you have "Primer". I can't wait to see more movies from this guy. I thought it was genius. sometimes its annoying how most movies have to spoon feed everything to you, treating the viewer like a kid. not this one. if you didn't understand it, do a little research on it and watch it again. you might even have to watch it again after that. once you figure it out, you'll love it.

  • @moze304 the worst part is getting over the fact that through much of the movie Aaron has used the box at least one more time than Abe has without Abe's knowledge.

  • This movie took a 2 foot long dildo and plunged it into my brain. And never took it out.

  • Can someone please tell me what this movies is all about? Is it really similar to 'Cube'? thanx in advance

  • @alex1234567908

It's just about two dudes accidentally inventing a time machine .. you'll have to watch it a few times or have the ability to focus on all the dialogue and process it as soon as it's coming out

    Definately worth watching

  • the way this is edited is sorta cool, but "WHAT IS TRULY WANTED?" and the "DONE" is a bit much. so cheesy

  • I thought trailers are supposed to give you at least a vague idea of what the film is about...

  • @emoly1994: Well, yes. But I think you could make an argument that this trailer *does* reveal what the film is about. Just not what *happens* in it.

  • Make sure you bring a condom with you if you plan on watching this movie because it will fuck your brain.

  • depression

  • Well, glad I didn't watch this trailer before I saw the movie. The movie is a total mind trip, you have to watch and just try to wrap your head around it-a more realistic look at time travel will do that do you.

  • weird!

  • discard this trailer from my memory... done.

  • i have no idea what i just saw

  • I didn't understand what the movie is about..

  • @BelloItaliano2009

Two dudes invent a time machine. Shit happens.

Do watch this movie. It's like Back to The Future II but instead of a car you have a small box, and instead of it going forward and back it only goes back in time; and it only goes back as far as you stay in the fucking box; and at some point your life gets fucked, and then one day you kill yourself, well, ok, not you YOU, but your other YOU who wants more monies...or something...like, really.

    McFly had it easy.

  • @unabomberman Thanks ! =D

  • Amazing film, created it's own genre, excelled where others couldn't dream, and, unlike most blockbusters, scientifically flawless, nothing pseudo about this one ;)

  • Damn, and I thought Syriana was a complicated movie! Time travel done right.

  • @jtheelen watched syriana yesterday, definately complicated but extremely enjoyable and what a great script. i actually bought primer today from HMV cant wait to watch

  • Brilliant film.

  • Actually, the trailer doesn't have very much to do with the movie - it's merely an explanation of the tagline. The movie is pretty awesome, though - it's not deep, it doesn't "make you think", but is nonetheless a pretty great movie.

  • Terrible trailer.

AMAZING movie. Honestly, it is extremely good.

  • to my jmind, one of the finest examples of cinema which has ever existed, and certainly one of onlty a handful of films which has challenged me intellectually. VERY good.

  • I just watched primer, but I honestly didn't understand it. Can anyone explain the movie to me, or will watching it a second time help me?

  • @Duodecillian watch it again man its not that long or there are places on the interwebz where they have timelines and shit

  • @Duodecillian really just watching the last like 20 minutes or so and making a map of the different time lines should make it easier. Also there are maps online that explain the plot.

  • @Duodecillian yes, watch it again. You'll be like: "Of Course!!"

  • @Duodecillian Google it: Wiki has a pretty decent explanation of t.

  • Wow, this is one of the best trailers I have ever seen.Must watch the movie too!

  • DONE.

  • reminds me of back to the future

  • Inception is NOT original. It's Timecrimes, Dreamscape and The Matrix. Primer is orginal. It took the idea of time travel and presented a different spin on it. Inception is good. BUT not Primer.

  • @NoIRegretNothing I bet you think Avatar is the greatest movie ever made.

  • I blame Chuck Klosterman for breaking my brain.

  • where can someone watch this movie in such a way as to channel funds to those who made it?

  • Great movie-fuck all the sheeple.

  • If it doesn't have unnecessary explosions, car chases, miniguns, and babes with CGI boobs then I'm not interested.

  • clever sci-fi at last.

  • @NoIRegretNothing The Kings Speech won though. Social Network picked up screenplay at the oscars, Aaron Sorkin wrote it. Inception got an oscar for best sound and understandably best visual effects. @Omoxus is right in that Inception was massively overrated. Good CGI & idea, but a transparent script, bad characters and a waste of Hans Zimmers talent. Pumped with money and effects but lacking depth - a peice of shit covered in glitter and tinsle may look nice, but its still shit. sorry.

  • @amoylan no a piece of shit in glitter and tinsle wont look nice, inception was great

  • @bloodclots99 why was it great exactly? im not getting into some troll argument with you on this. just answer me WHY you thought it was great? curiosity is why i want to know, not anger

  • @amoylan because I have an opinion. done.

  • @bloodclots99 BOOM! aw i love you man, seriously, i love you, no no seriously. I HAVE AN OPINION (FULL STOP) DONE. what a guy, what a really intelligent fuckin guy. i have an opinion. done. oh you didnt have to tell me you had an opinion. i can tell by your arrogance you have an OPINION, thats clear, oh yeah. i have an opinion. done. does it make you feel good? that you have an opinion. [done]? does it? please dont reply to this comment. i dont want to hear it

  • @amoylan lol u mad?

  • @amoylan inception was a good movie due to the simple fact that it was original. and if u were smart enough to even comprehendthe script, u wouldknow that te characters and the scripting was great. Ur the type or person that would need towatch it 3 times, and for primer? dont even bother watching.

  • haha, yeah... cuz every movie that isnt liked by critics therefore has no value right?

I just had a mate put me onto another movie called The Man From Earth, thoroughly interesting movie with an interesting concept which is essentially one long discussion in a room.. It has had very little attention around the world. I suppose I should check if the critics liked it to determine if it really *is* good or not.

Did you cry during Titanic because critics went nuts for it?

  • @noremac74564

yea bro i saw that move the man from earth and thought it was awesome

  • @NoIRegretNothing Lulwut? CGI was only used on the "city bend" ? Are you on crack? Have you even seen inception? Failtroll

  • Inception was rather fantastic, but has NOTHING on Primer. Nor should it, this is apples and oranges people.

Inception was an interesting story, with a huge budget and award winning, proven actors. It was hyped and it delivered pretty much what we all hoped for.

Primer took nothing and used ingenuity and quality performances to WRECK MINDS, for the greater good. For me, Primer would have to be in my top 5 of all time whereas I have not even considered Inception amongst my favourites.

  • @Christopher and Nothing

Inception is soooooo overated. It's nothing but a bunch of distractions, CGI and action. NOT a masterpiece. Noacting. Just a bunch of dialouge. Good movie, but in NO WAY near a mind@1$%# that Primer is. Inception is not even close.

  • @NoIRegretNothing

Inception was not a masterpiece. Inception was a display of what computers of this era are capable of. Computers do not make masterpieces.

  • I really don't like this trailer. I can only imagine the numbers of people who were turned off by this trailer and never watched one of the greatest movies of the past decade. Moon got the same treatment. You'd think the internet would help these indie movies garner a larger audience and perhaps they do to a certain degree, but let's face facts: most people still rely on their televisions to tell them what to do. The future sucks! I was lied to!

  • I've seen the movie a dozen times. Still can't make the connections half the people on the internet claim to have made. I'll turn to wikipedia next time I watch.

  • Trailer doesn't suit the movie at all, but it's an awesome trailer nonetheless. The movie is... okay... if you're in the right mindset. Otherwise, it's extremely boring.

  • I watched Primer about six years ago, and it's surprising how often I think about the ending. Haunting ain't the word. Makes you think about how God must work.

  • Reminded me that sci-fi can still be immensely scary and unsettling. Loved it

  • @aridchimp BTW after the "binoculars" scene if your heart doesn't skip two beats then kick into overdrive, sci-fi isn't for you.

  • This movie sucked and was about as interesting as watching grass grow on the lawn.

  • absolutely awesome movie :) I highly recommend it!

  • watch?v=gYLRmar61bI

Watch and Please Share "THE IDEA"

  • @yed

Don't know if you've seen it yet, but its definantly bot Hollywood.

  • What an "independent" film with such cliche Holywood shots...

  • @yedininkarekoku by cliche I expect you mean tried and tested, cinematically aesthetic shots. Would you rather they filmed the entire film upside down or from 2 miles away just to be "different" ?. If shots work, they work, there are standard recipes to making a film.

  • Great

    movie

  • Incredible movie, once you understand it you realize it is one of the most brilliant films of all time. But I gotta say, the first time I watched this it made my brain cry :/

  • I love it... I wrote a positive review of Primer a week ago, and returned to find a dozen messages from people telling me I'm crazy and the movie sucked. I guess I don't understand the people who tried to talk me into hating this film. I had fun watching it, considered the money well spent, and have enjoyed hours of discussion about the film. They hated the experience, felt ripped off, and consider the time wasted. So why in pluperfect hell would I want to switch to their miserable position?

  • @mickycisme This movie requires that the watcher has more IQ than what is enough to turn a door knob. One of my favorite movies of all time, and those that don't agree are simply not smart enough.

  • @mickycisme Pluperfect hell made my day hahaahhahaha

  • @mickycisme You just need a certain level of intelligence to enjoy this film. It just means you're smarter than your friends. Take it as a compliment from them!

  • One of my all time favorite movies.

  • Wow! This was made on 7 Thousand Dollar budget? Man i gotta step my movie making game up.

  • @those who mentioned the dialouge. That's what made it more realistic. People talking over each other is more realistic. Darko comparisons are more like the thinking aspect and the cult status.

  • @Samhain

The lack of exposition is what made this film good. A lot was left out for us to figure out. They had a small budget. Watching this film was like being a fly on the wall listening to a conversation. Kudo's to Darko. I love these non conventional films.

  • I loved the movie, it was not as confusing as many people think it is (although that could be because I had read about it before and I was prepared to think, to watch where the characters were and at what time they were) It is also not boring, It kept me on my toes the whole way not only wondering what was going to happen next, but also what had happened before. All in all, by all film making standards this was a beautiful movie
