@AmyLizz Congratulations!!!!!!! I don't take the vitamin anymore as I ran out & I bought it through the birth center, that I don't go back to till the end of this month. I'm currently taking Fairhaven Health pregnancy prenatals that are almost as great as the ones I were taking. They are pretty close! I remember it being in a yellow bottle & I had to take two a day...natures sunshine brand? I have my vitamin c supplement (same brand) I'll check later! Send me a message on yt asking

@xxxjoelpolexxx so I think we found them! These were in a yellow bottle called "Nature's Plus Ultra Prenatal". You have to take two, so I think it's them! :) I noticed they have a lot of Vit A, but in the beta carotene form which is much healthier, so maybe that's why it's okay to have so much Vit A.
Could you give me some advice, I am 2 days late with my period, I have had cramps, no bleeding, some pain like a stabbing pain on my left hand side, a little nausea but nothing reallt speak of, and the last 2 days I have done a pregnancy test in the morning but both tests cam up negative. Have you done a video on why you do natural births? I'm just curious, I'm a nursing student and also want to become a midwife or doula and advocate natural birth.
@DaisyBell88 Very big myth, lol. Where people are usually mistaken is that in the first early months of a babies life that can be true to an extent w/ a very strict guideline. If you are exclusiviely breastfeeding a newborn, no pacifiers, no schedule, no supplementing, no water, no formula, you feed ON DEMAND FOR AS LONG AS BABY WANTS AS OFTEN AS BABY WANTS and you follow this very strictly u can minimize pregnancy by like 98% during the first 6 months. After that you can't rely on it.
And also, it's so funny that you are craving anything green, because I couldn't even look at broccoli, lettuce, spinach or anything of the sort during the majority of the 1st trimester. I really wished that it didn't gross me out so much, because it would have helped with the awful constipation that comes along with pregnancy.
What was your favorite store to buy maternity clothing from? All I'm able to wear is sweat pants right now and I'm only 13 weeks! All of my jeans are too uncomfortably tight on me already and I have no idea where to shop :(

@xxxjoelpolexxx Yes we are doing a hospital birth. Unfortunately :( Insurance will not cover a home birth and we are not wanting to just pay out of pocket. My doctor only works at one local hospital- the one I used to work at- lol. They don't have water birth available but they do have tubs in the rooms. I was told you can labor in the tub, but cannot give birth there.
@brittanykay22109 I've never hears of insurance covering a homebirth, it can cover parts of the care, like blood work, ultrasounds, but usually that's about it. I don't know what kind/type of insurance u have but we had Fiserv w/ our daughter and w/ an ob/gyn and we still had to pay 2,500 out of pocket, so spending 500 more for a homebirth was no biggy.
@xxxjoelpolexxx how comes you have to pay? and what do young kids that get pregnant or poor families do? does the state pay?? sorry to ask questions but ive never heard of such things lol xx
@hannah120288 U have to pay b/c nothing is free....lol Poor folks get medicaid and that covers 100% everything but you don't get choices of Dr's, medicines. U get the cheapest of the cheapest. Who pays for medicaid? We do...tax payers.

@xxxjoelpolexxx Would you be able to let me know what the prenatal pill is called that you were talking about that is good for being pregnant and nursing. To me sense my baby is still so young ( only 10 months) me being pregnant has not really sunk in yet. Not really having anything different going on yet. Just little tummy ackee every now and then. Congrats on the pregnancy Lucy :) I had my first 2 kids 3 weeks early as well, and then April held on until 10 hours before her due date. I have heard it before and it definitely held true for her, that the 3rd pregnancy is the wild card meaning you can't bank on how your previous pregnancies went
@smophies123 There is no age, we feel the best thing is to allow the child to self wean which that is what we're doing. Most children will self wean between the ages of 2-4. Which by that point they usually are only nursing in the morning & before bed.
My back is better when I got preggers too. Now that i am 24 weeks it's settling back in though. :( All worth it though. Is that your Christmas tree in the background? Haha My hubby wants to put ours up asap.

@mebirdo 20 week anatomy scan, but that's not mandatory w/ midwifes. Some Dr's will to a "to date the pregnancy" scan when you first show up saying you're pregnant.

when i first found out i was pregnant, all i craved were healthy foods. i'm now 17 weeks along, and thats all i want to eat!! its awesome because i haven't gained a million pounds and probably won't and the baby is very healthy and will hopefully like healthy foods later on :)

Not sure if you know but I also have 3 babies and all mine are about 18 months apart :) I really don't think you will have to worry at all about your weight or stretchmarks, if they didn't happen before they aren't going to happen this time ;). @ljewkes Most MW's start out around 3,500 for no insurance patients, and then most hospital births start off at 10,000 regardless of insurance. Ur looking to spend at least 3xs more in the hospital.
@ljewkes It's very rarely that insurance will cover a homebirth, I've never heard of it covering a homebirth entirely, but in parts & pieces here n there it may. Ours never has though. Usually when it does it only saves u up to 1,000. which is better than nothing, that's for sure.
I'm like you, I didn't get any stretch marks on my stomach either, but we both got 'em in the same place! I hate it lol but I guess its better than all on my stomach. like you said nobody ever see your butt.

What brand of prenatal did the MW suggest? I have a suggestion for one, New Chapter organics perfect prenatal, it's whole foods and AMAZING.

@xxxjoelpolexxx Yes we are doing a hospital birth. Unfortunately :( Insurance will not cover a home birth and we are not wanting to just pay out of pocket. My doctor only works at one local hospital- the one I used to work at- lol. They don't have water birth available but they do have tubs in the rooms. I was told you can labor in the tub, but cannot give birth there.

@brittanykay22109 I've never hears of insurance covering a homebirth, it can cover parts of the care, like blood work, ultrasounds, but usually that's about it. I don't know what kind/type of insurance u have but we had Fiserv w/ our daughter and w/ an ob/gyn and we still had to pay 2,500 out of pocket, so spending 500 more for a homebirth was no biggy.

@hannah120288 U have to pay b/c nothing is free....lol Poor folks get medicaid and that covers 100% everything but you don't get choices of Dr's, medicines. U get the cheapest of the cheapest. Who pays for medicaid? We do...tax payers.

@xxxjoelpolexxx wow im in the uk and we dont pay for having a baby the only thing we pay for is £5 for scan pictures of the baby if we want them and even then they dont always charge you xx

@hannah120288 thats because our NHS pays for ours, their health insurance pays for U.S med stuff, unless you don't have insurance; thats when it get expensive!

@sweetpee27lp4 I'll mention it in the next vlog, I don't know the name right now. The pamplet is in my diaper bag in the living room where the kids are currently vomiting w/ a stomach bug. Joel's taking care of them so I can in hopes avoid the bug since I'm pregnant. Supposed to be one of those 24-48 hr things.

@xxxjoelpolexxx Sorry to here that. It's always sad when your kids are sick. Mine were doing that yesterday. My kids don't get sick very often so they got over it quick they are doing good today. Hope your kids get better fast and that you don't get sick to. Hope you have a good day otherwise.

To me sense my baby is still so young ( only 10 months) me being pregnant has not really sunk in yet. Not really having anything different going on yet. Just little tummy ackee every now and then. Hope you all have gotten better.

Congrats on the pregnancy Lucy :) I had my first 2 kids 3 weeks early as well, and then April held on until 10 hours before her due date. I have heard it before and it definitely held true for her, that the 3rd pregnancy is the wild card meaning you can't bank on how your previous pregnancies went

@smophies123 There is no age, we feel the best thing is to allow the child to self wean which that is what we're doing. Most children will self wean between the ages of 2-4. Which by that point they usually are only nursing in the morning & before bed.

My back is better when I got preggers too. Now that i am 24 weeks it's settling back in though. :( All worth it though. Is that your Christmas tree in the background? Haha My hubby wants to put ours up asap.

Congrats sweetie !! How exciting !! I am now expecting number 5 after 15 yrs lol - I never got stretch marks with my others ( except the ones you mentioned for you ) But this time I am starting out the weight I ended all my others at = ( & I am 42....Sooooo I guess we shall see huh?? lol Either way Still a HUGE Miracle that I will NOT complain about.....Have a great day hun!

How many scans do you have during pregnancy in the US? 12 week and 20 week one?

@mebirdo 20 week anatomy scan, but that's not mandatory w/ midwifes. Some Dr's will to a "to date the pregnancy" scan when you first show up saying you're pregnant.

@xxxjoelpolexxx Awww..hahah...My twins are 7.5 months old now and they were born at 37+4weeks...And i'm a shorty...they were 6.9lbs/20.1inch and 4.7lbs/18.9inch Your 2 pregnancy's have been healthy and strong, and i believe you would make it all the way through;) Anyhow....wishing you luck and all the best...kisses to Jace and Kace and to that little angel(or with 's' haha)in yur belly

when i first found out i was pregnant, all i craved were healthy foods. i'm now 17 weeks along, and thats all i want to eat!! its awesome because i haven't gained a million pounds and probably won't and the baby is very healthy and will hopefully like healthy foods later on :)

Congrats on baby #3!!! Not sure if you know but I also have 3 babies and all mine are about 18 months apart :) I really don't think you will have to worry at all about your weight or stretchmarks, if they didn't happen before they aren't going to happen this time ;). Good luck with everything this time around and I hope you get the water birth you're hoping for!

@ljewkes Most MW's start out around 3,500 for no insurance patients, and then most hospital births start off at 10,000 regardless of insurance. Ur looking to spend at least 3xs more in the hospital.

@ljewkes It's very rarely that insurance will cover a homebirth, I've never heard of it covering a homebirth entirely, but in parts & pieces here n there it may. Ours never has though. Usually when it does it only saves u up to 1,000. which is better than nothing, that's for sure.

I'm like you, I didn't get any stretch marks on my stomach either, but we both got 'em in the same place! I hate it lol but I guess its better than all on my stomach. like you said nobody ever see your butt.

We usually put ours up while we're cookng Thanksgiving dinner or later that night after visitng family...CONGRATULATIONS on your new edition, I am excited for you all. I love to watch your vlogs.
