Christians.. or any religious people for that matter, should not be allowed in any form of government or politics regardless of how many followers are in the nation. Religion manipulates, distorts, and tarnishes good forms of government. Its poison to freedom, not the basis of it.
how about this christians, you quit lying, preaching that you're superior, give all of us the freedom you so claim to value, and let others make they're own decisions, and draw in converts w/ examples instead of being so damn angry all the time.
eventually, it will be readily apparent that christians are right, as the obviousness of gods reality and peoples independent discovery of the bible (through observation and rigor) will naturally make it apparent that it is the only truth, its not like its obscure.
and since christians will be naturally healthier and happier, we would gradually flock to that way of life by ourselves, so there's no need to preach, and no reason to keep us from teaching (and demonstrating by observation/example.)
and we'll leave you alone, there's nothing I agree with more then freedom of opinion, I just prefer to admit we don't know what we don't know, and that we do know what we do know, that there are degrees of certainty, and that issues of politics and ethics are better motivated by reasonable arguments and observations, rather then having a book of ancient orders being creatively "interpreted" to you by those with their own ideological motivations.
think about it, if your political beliefs are the right ones, the ones that are objectively best for society then the benefits should be obvious, god wants whats best for us right? the christian political policies should stand on their own reasons and observations rather then have to be resorted to "tradition" and "authority" arguments from that book of yours, (often accompanied by alot of repetitive yelling), right?
there are atheists against abortion (like me), those that hold to the idea of objective morality (Ive even written it out, and am revising it, its just not exactly yours). Oh, and most atheists do not believe that the universe came from nothing, by itself. IDK where you got that idea from, (does the bible tell you what i believe?) but it shows a lack of knowledge of current physical theories.

Give me proof "god" created government? Because I can give you evidence the founding fathers owned slaves, you know your fellow man owned by man. Church and state should most surly be separate was the morale law of god to burn people who do not believe in "god"? yes it does not happen in civilized countries today, but it did happen to people who read the bible in the same way as people do today. To have church involved in state affairs is just another form of control and power to these people.
