  • She has such a distinctive voice!!

  • Sigh...thank the Universe I was born in '83. The early 90s were still a time when a song could be carried through by a singer's voice alone. Everything DOES change through when LOVE is one's guiding light.

  • That's funny someone thought she was a one hit wonder! She has been a christian singer for YEARS! She is still very talented. I love you Kathy :)

  • Now She is a Gospel Singer on TBN...I have seen her on there with the Gainthers.

  • Excelente ritmo de los años 90.

  • dis i like memory those dayz

  • I got laughed at in 96 for playing this on the bus....Kathy you made me a good person!

  • One hit Wonder????? Have you heard the rest of her songs.????? I seen Kathy in Wichita, ks, at a Heritage Keepers Convention.... There are so many beautiful songs she sings, ....

  • @christyannification just because some songs she sings at a Heritage Keepers Convention (whatever the fuck that is...it sounds like an organization that is anti interracial dating/marraige) are good, doesn't make them hits...A hit is a song that can be heard outside of a convention and is popular with the general public...

  • @theEricWalker

you should just not reply if you don't know what i'm talking about...........

  • @theEricWalker It's an organization that deals with companionship, homemaking, and personal care to seniors.

  • great video love it :)

  • Twenty four years old and still jam to this!

  • Pure Fun!!! Thanks kathy!

  • I have always loved Kathy's vocals--nice song.

EVERYTHING MAY CHANGE; however, GOD REMAINS THE SAME.

  • Very great song!

  • Press '2' and watch her sweet dance moves under the falling confetti.

  • I think Kathy Troccoli and Taylor Dayne and the girl from the comedy series with Kevin James are all from Long Island New York.

  • @clouseau186 Leah Remini from "The King of Queens".

  • Beautiful voice. I heard this song at my grocery store and thought it was from the 80's but its from 1991! Pleasant song.

  • @BBH2100 1991 is pretty much still the 80s.

  • OMG

  • I always thought this was Taylor Dane. LOL

  • @bnegs521

Very close...she was Taylor Dayne's backup singer on her "Can't Fight Fate" album :). It was a friend of mine that pointed it out to me. He is a huge Taylor Dayne fan, even named his daughter after her. Me, well, while I like Taylor Dayne, I preferred Kathy. When I first saw this video, I was like DAMN she is beautiful. I actually like her voice better than Taylor's as well. I was hoping to hear more songs like this from her, but sadly, it wasn't her interest.

  • I've always loved this song but not until today did I notice the similarity to Taylor Dayne! I wish Kathy had done more secular music that had hit. "If I'm Not In Love" is still one of my all time favorite love songs!

  • i heard this song at the grocery store the other day when i was shopping, and you know when it plays at the grocery store, its not really popular anymore, so sad, as it is such a good song.

  • As I look back I just realized that a lot of her songs that crossed over were basically gospel songs, but they just had secular metaphors. In this song she must be talking about her love for God. Once that happens, everything changes!

  • @UltraPOPDJ

Took me over 20yrs to realize that. Great singer.

  • Too bad the music gurus wanted her to compromise her values. She walked away with nothing but the fact that she would not be bent. Hooray for C.T. I remember her in the early 90s and then nothing.

  • Kathy is so cute....and has an awesome voice!! God bless

  • I remember this track so well - summer 1992, it was getting so much radio play here in the UK, i absolutely loved it. Then for years i tried to remember it and couldn't and couldn't find it...then i found it on Myspace 3 years ago and again now.

  • Kathy troccoli turn from sin and gave her life to GOD!!! Kathy I did the same. I found the truth and the light. God is awesome. Jesus is Lord. Amen.

  • the cd from which this song is found is good. i love this song and this woman. she's got a killer voice.

  • Doobie 1975, your username explains your brilliant insight.

  • Kathy has been around for many, many years. She's not 'ripping off' Taylor Dane. She has always been a very successful gospel singer since the 1980's and was responsible for many of my own song creations. Look up her massive hits like Stubborn Love and many CD's after. She's fun, hip and entertaining.

  • She definitely sounds like Taylor Dayne and she also sounds a little like the lead singer of 4 Non Blondes

  • Great song, too bad she ended up being a one hit wonder, this song IMO should have been a bigger hit than what it was

  • @Doobie1975

You sound like Rush Limbaugh who made that statement a few years ago. She has had several hits over the years....as a Christian singer. And she has a beautiful voice. When she sings with Sandi Patty she gives me goosebumps.

  • @Doobie1975 It hit top 15 how high should it have gone??

  • @bnegs521 Top 5

  • @Doobie1975 Haha, she wasn't really a one hit wonder; most of her songs were very big in the Christian market.

  • @drano72 yup she isnt a one hit onder only in the secular world of muzik ...she has lots of albums she is huge in my world god bless her muzik:)

  • Wow...This song takes me back. One of the first songs I ever heard in club.

  • Great officemax music!

  • good song!!!

  • What? My "airfeild" channel comment from 5 months ago was flagged as SPAM??? Why? What made it "Spam""?

  • Christian music into the pop scene in early 90's, Swing music in the late 90's, country music in the mid 00's.

  • I saw Kathy in concert at Davenport Iowa in '97. It was the most amazing concert I have ever seen! The show was outdoors on the Mississippi river front. A storm was moving in. Lightning and thunder all around, but the clouds literally split and the stars were visible above us for through the entire show. She did this song and introduced it as the song that everyone thought Taylor Dayne did.

  • Great.!!! What a God's gift is Kathy....I love her voice and career !! God bless her allways.!

  • buenisimo!!

  • From death to life, everything does change. When I saw my true condition and accepted the new life that God provided for me in Jesus Christ. Love that big red coat KT.

  • Jesus Music tried to sneak in on the pop scene in the nineties ala amy gant an kelly here.

  • @kbilzs So, what's your point? Praise God for "Jesus Music"!

  • Taylor Dayne ripoff....

  • I first heard this song yesterday playing above at Fred Meyer, also thought it was Taylor... thumps up if you heard it playing above in a store for the first time and came here lol.

  • She reminds of Selena! Loved her then and now

  • Wow...I've been waiting for this blast from the past video...TY for the upload...brings back memories....although the video style kind of rips one right from the page of Amy Grants Every Heatbeat

  • Wow...I've been waiting for this blast from the past video...TY for the upload...brings back memories.

  • This song is catchier than the nastiest STD on earth. Damnit! Now it's stuck like glue in my head! KATHY!

  • Taylor Dayne.. Kathy Troccoli.. and Margaret Becker all have near-identical beautiful voices...

  • @yoshiofdeath Funny you say that...cause for so many years searching for this song, I thought it was Taylor Dayne.

  • @yoshiofdeath It's interesting that you say that. Kathy & Margaret went 2 school 2gether & were friends at East Islip H.S. in the 70's. They both went toward the Christian venue of music, but Kathy mainstreamed a little more into the pop culture 4 a while in the early 80's (when this song first came out). My sister who is 2 yrs older than me was friends w/ Margaret & I'm closer in age 2 Kathy. She entertained us on many evenings on the walking bridge w/ just her voice and guitar in hand :-)

  • @yoshiofdeath yes that's true!!! :D

  • @yoshiofdeath Anastacia too

  • @yoshiofdeath i always thought this WAS taylor dayne. I lost a bet on this one

  • @ajason495 Well she did team up with Taylor Dayne on her second album providing backing vocals for 'I'll Be Your Shelter', however i as well thought this was a Taylor Dayne song until i got a compilation of 90s music.

  • one of the last decent dance songs made before ghetto hip hop hags starting calling themselves "dance artists."

lots of good music was made in the early 1990s but too much of it was not getting heard. early 1990s were better times than i was willing to acknowledge.

  • @The096757 Hags!!! LOL!!!

  • Same she never kept this pop sound, better than what she sings now!

  • Yes Taylor, you have to eat your Troccoli.

  • You mean to tell me all these years I've been thinking that Taylor Dane sings this song? Man I feel stupid. Lol

  • She sounds alot like Taylor Dayne!

  • @cloudsoflace2005 lol, I thought I was the only one who thought that, but I see others on here, besides you and I, who think the same...I used to think that Taylor Dayne sang this song until I typed Everything Changes in the search box on here one day and Kathy Troccoli's name came up with the title...anyway, sorry for jabbering (didn't give myself this nickname for nothing...hee hee!) I LOVE this song! I miss the 80's!

  • somebody tell me if there are a remix for this song??.. cause i prefer the remix... i ve listened in the radio the other version ,, thanks a lot 4 answer me

  • @MrDjpaylon There are remixes of this song I have heard it mixed in clubs.

  • Kathy IS tremendous! I highly recommend "If I'm Not In Love."

  • ric wake, the producer of this song and many of taylor dayne's hits, is partly responsible for kathy sounding like taylor on this song.

  • THIS SONG CAME OUT WHEN I WAS THREE YEARS OLD MY MOM HAD THE CASSETTE TAPE AND WE WOULD BOTH SING OUR HEARTS OUT TO IT ON A DAILY BASIS THIS WAS THE ONE THING WE WOULD DO TOGETHER AND GET ALONG I WOKE UP THE OTHER MORNING AND MY PANDORA RADIO WAS PLAYING THIS SONG AND I WAS KINDA BROUGHT TO TEARS..

  • @Kissez98031 keep finding connections like that

  • Comment removed

  • My mom had her cassette tape. I would dance to this when I was like 7.....

  • A beautiful song, for sure. This song will still sound great in 200 years.

  • Puts me in a good mood!!! :)

  • i love this tune . just dont hear it on radio anymore.

  • Yeah!!! this song will reset and you up.

  • @ExtraChocolate80

Although only at moments, there is indeed an air of similarity between certain notes Ms. Troccoli hits and Taylor Dayne's signature sound.

  • @LondonUnderground186

    hahahaha!

  • Good God her mouth is HUGE! She has a great voice though. I never knew she sang back up for Taylor Dayne, and i never thought this sounded like her. Though i was a huge Taylor Dayne fan back then. I did hear that she was a christian music singer though.

  • wow i forgot about fake taylor dane like this song

  • great song!!!!!!!!!

  • A Song To Listen To When You're Down.

  • She sounds like Taylor Dayne.

  • @ExtraChocolate80

In fact, this song was written for Taylor Dayne. She passed, Ms. Troccoli's agent grabbed it, and the rest is history.

  • What ever happened to Kathy Triccoli? She was really good.

  • Ye Gods. she is gorgeous.

  • just an okay video..but one of my favorite artists and songs. This so brings back memories of when I first heard this on the radio & discovered Kathy. I also thought at first it was Taylor Dayne, but after falling for her prodigious talents, find she is much more talented. Lustrous singer of pop and ballads, especially "If I Fall In Love". I adore this song.

  • Thanks for posting this. I've been looking for this video for ages! As of the time I posted this, I hadn't seen this video since I was in junior high school. This is one of my favorite '90s songs that I never get to hear anymore.

  • I had that CD..love that song

  • i heard this song in albertsons today. so nice to hear this song again....one of those forgotten songs of the 90's. (i thought it was 80's...)

  • when i was 4 or 5 or 6 or 7 whatever, my mom used to play this all the time on our cassette. and i have one favorite but i really cant remember what kathy t song it is. damn.hahha

  • @greenpokerchip it isn't a song called " Don't Walk Away", by chance ?

  • Feels like a burst of energy, blue skies and sunshine. Great hook! Can't help but feel happy inside and out and paint a smile on your face

  • What happened to her??!?! I remember them playing this song on the Christian Station all the time!

  • Ah yes, selling sex to sell the gospel.

  • @voiceofelijah2012 I could be wrong but I always thought this was before she became a devout Christian.

  • this is something watching this onn cbn cable in the 1990s check out my songs..

  • My God - What a radiant Beauty ! I spent my whole life running away from the prettiest girls. I may have thought twice before turning away from this girl. Her spirit and character is as beautiful as she is ... God Bless you Kathy...... This song is as beautiful as she is.....

  • I loved this song in 92, and i still do

  • does anyone remember "Don't Walk Away" ? - I think she sung it also back in the eighties - great tune!

  • @dewaynecullen You're not talking about Jade's "Don't Walk Away" don't you?

  • @dewaynecullen I remember a song called "Don't Walk Away" by Toni Childs. I think it was from the early 90's, though. Is that the song you're talking about?

  • @mixnremix thanks! That's the one:)

  • I think the best pop songs of her, were "tell me where it hurts" and "If I'm not in love","If I'm not in love"also covered by Japanese singer Yuna Ito ,which was a theme song from the movie"Nana",called "Endless story".

  • it's a very lively colorful video and the song is so beautiful indeed. she's pretty too.

  • There are many similarities in this song and video to Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know". Multi-colored phones , confetti and photographers in fast-motion.

  • Que esta mensagem chegue até ela, um dia, que por aqui no Brasil tem gente que a adora.

  • Don't you think taylor dayne kathy troccoli and anastacia sound the same?

  • @Ithink998 Yes--- I think they all have a similar sound!

  • She sounds better than Taylor Dayne. .

  • SHE is so versitile w/ her music! SHE loves life!!! ;)!!! Hey YOU -tube friends, love ya! Respond. You are special friends from many lands. keep in touch , luv ya!!!

  • OK everybody , I would like to have a vid like this, too much fun!!!

  • How can you NOT feel Good about anything when you watch Kathy's video?? Amen Sister, Amen...

  • @sarniarocks amen sista, she's the bomb!! I lovd her 4-ever!!! ;) She has so much talent, sound a lil like like Cher in this vidieo...HMMM. what a beutiful lady.

  • Oy my goodies lol i thought the same joonie and krk but the song is good

  • Oh my goodness... I had to laugh at joonie's post because when I first played the video I told my husband... "she looks a lot like Peg Bundy" and when I scrolled down later for comments I saw Joonie's. Too funny! And yes... she also sounds like Taylor Dayne! But I still love the song.

  • Heard this song whilst shopping at Winner's today. Just had to look it up when I got home... Can't believe I never heard it before... great tune!

  • yeah isn't it funny when you hear a really good song at a supermarket? that's how i discovered "who's holding donna now" like a gazillion years after it was first released.

  • I love this song and her voice is amazing:) I have loved this song since it came out and until now saw the video..I have had my own images of what this vbideo would be like an dthis wasent it at all....I thought it would have a diffrent outlook than just cheesy but its still good:) Love her!

  • I can tell you all WHY she sounds a lot like Taylor Dayne...Ite because Not only did I do the music for this track I also did the music for Taylor Dayne. Kathy needed a first single and I figured i would give her one of my pop hell radio sounded arrangements. I have not heard this track in 10 years.

  • I don't know why, but for some (strange) reason she reminds me of Peggy Bundy.

  • @joonie1974

LMAO!! yeah I can see why she reminds you of Peg Bundy. Red lips and sexy outfit. Great song and singer too. Too funny!!

  • at :10... She looks like a 90's whore in heat. Haha

  • Wondering if this cute chick really did fall in love with someone, she looks so happy!!!

  • @dcamack At 51, she's still available for any guy . Saw her in concert recently -- this song is no longer even used by her. She's more prone to "A Different Road" and "Go Light Your World".

  • may say 90's, but this is def 80's ;D

  • @RMphan

this was out 1992. a good dance song because there is no hip hop in it.

she doesn't have the look of 80s glam women but it's still a good video and fast paced song.

  • I've been searchin', and searchin', thanks 4 posting!!!

  • Amy Grant crosses my mind when i hear her songs

  • I don't think so, Taylor Dayne is considerably younger. Kathy's the original!

  • Kathy is only 4 years older that Taylor Dayne. I thought it was taylor dayne the first time I heard this song on the radio.

  • I remember when this song came out. I think it was in Spring '92. I was in College, toward the end of the semester, getting ready to go home for Summer Break. I was convinced it was Taylor Dayne at first. Come to find out, Kathy Troccoli had previously sung backup for Taylor Dayne. I had long ago committed every word and key-change of this song to memory, but had never seen the video until now!

  • @nipkow21 I, too, could have swore this was Taylor Dane up until LAST MONTH! In the Spring of 92 i wasn't in College, in fact i had to sign out until another time, and had a baby girl. I've been happily re-married since then and my baby girl is now 18, looking to go to College herself these days! "Everything Changes....."

  • @nipkow21 I, too, could have swore this was Taylor Dane up until LAST MONTH! In the Spring of '92 i wasn't in College, i had a baby girl. I've been happily re-married since then and my baby girl is now 18, looking to go to College herself these days! "Everything Changes....."

  • @nipkow21 I often thought this was Taylor Dayne as well.

  • @nipkow21 This used to be my joint. I never knew there was a video for this. I used to listen to it on my radio every time they used to play it. She does sound somewhat like Taylor Dayne but I could always tell the difference between the two. Taylor's voice is more soulful. Just a little though. This woman jams.

  • @nipkow21 That is so funny, I have always thought they sounded alike!

  • @marais75012 Troccoli provided backing vocal for Taylor Dayne's song "I'll Be Your Shelter" in 1989/1990. (from wikipedia)

  • Thankx so much for posting!.. had a hard time finding it for while. Hope this video doesnt get taken down like so many other good ones!!

  • Very Taylor Dayne - ish

  • Cher can do a cover though. It sounds great on Kathy T. =) Fun song w/ powerful vocals.

  • man, i haven't heard this song in like 15 years! i remember i had this cassette, and i LOVED it! she is so talented, and she grew up like 10 mins from where i did!

  • This song will never get old to me. I love it!

  • Damn she looked hot in this video....

  • didn't she? She still does, in fact. Just in a more mature way. A good girl.

  • Looks like an 80s video but is in fact early 90s. I liked it back then and still do, but I think it is slightly overproduced. I counted 9 sets (the close-up, the mirror, girl in jeans trying different hats, black dress, room with a table, hot pants, NY skyline, phone scene, museum). 4 or 5 would have done. But still, I really like Kathy Troccoli and have fond memories of this song.

  • Comment removed

  • Kathy used to sing background vocals for Taylor. It's listed.

  • you look like a bad drag video and where would be without drag???
