I love Daniel Radcliffe, and his dancing and acting are both amazing, but his singing could use some work... It's extremely good for someone that started as a straight actor, but still... there were probably twenty other men vying for the part that were his equal in acting and dancing, and had more experience singing. I can't help but think that his name got him the part not his talents (abundant as they are).

@alto19 So far as I know, the musical was revived because Radcliffe was available, and he approved the rest of the cast. So there was never of question of his trying out or being rejected.

I saw the show, his singing is fine, but he definitely had some off key notes. The star is his dancing. What makes him really shine are his co-stars, including Christoper Hanke, Mary Faber, John Larroquette, Rob Bartlett, etc. Id say see it, just to experience the show with him, but it wont change your life, and isnt extremely memorable, music or story wise
