The original moonwalk was done by Cab Calloway, but seeing a guy do it on Soul Train is where Michael's version came from. Michael just perfected it after observing. He was a master at picking up on dances as well as a creative master. He did it with the robot also, yet he perfected it better and more distinguished than anyone else.  That was his genius...WORK AND OBSERVATION!!!
