They showed more vocal and musical talent in this one song that most of the r&b groups of today show in their entire career. I hate to be rude but it is what it is.
Wow...This is a different mix than the one I have the 45. Great song. I can hear the progressive writing going on. During this peiod fusion jazz was the rage. I can hear the fusion influence in the writing and performance of this song. Jermaine is simply awsome on this track. His interplay with Michael is pure brilliant!
i forgot how beautiful a voice Germaine has also, and this is one of my all time Jackson favorites, underrated if you ask me, except by true Jackson aficionado's.
we have rub out of tie cause God is love which marvin said but they tried to control them but in the end michael said to the earth the earth song and no one or thing can ever out do that
Love how Jermaine took the ballad part, and, Michael sang the disco section. They hit #15 in Billboard, 3-22-75. Thanx for postin' the full version. God bless ya, for doin' that, my dear!
I would jam to this track every morning to wake up for work for the 2 months before MJ died. It was really weird for me when he passed cuz I was really start to dig into their stuff. J5 is so powerful and glorious!
jermaine i still love u and your unique voice i thought i was to marry u but o well i thank allah for u still and who knows if your wife needs a co-wife i will be avilable inshallah sis jalilah
I'm Only 21 and i'm listening to this type of music. The 70s had great music, the jackson 5 were a big part of that. the artists today need to take notes from the old school because this is how its done. RIP MICHAEL LUV U!!!!!!!
Wow, I've never heard this before. Cool song. I just read the comment at the top about "this song is the ^%it" .. haha .. that's funny. When I first started on youtube .. I was thrown aback by that expression also .. then I found out it's a GOOD thing ! LOL. (haha, I didn't know what "LOL" meant either .. or lmao .. or stfu .. haha) !
@Crazynaptownchick. I know it was 9 months ago but I'm just reading your reply to the person who thought you were puttin my boys down. (calling them the sh--) lol I thought your reply was perfect. they definitely need to get out more. Also just checked out your favorites and upload list. Nice selection. Peace
I KNEW it was Jermaine. Jermaine did the recording. Marlon did it on some concerts that are on here after Jermaine left the group. That's what made me doubt myself. (As if it really matters that much). But we ARE talking Jackson info here! LOL!
I had this single as a kid, what a great song; I always loved the way their lyrics seem to always switch at will between Love as "God's love" and the sexual, romantic, physical love of human beings (and of most Pop songs)... it has a killer guitar solo too, and it goes from Gospel-tinged Soul to Funk and Hard Rock.... it was the era of Sly & The Family Stone-style Psychedelic Soul... shame there isn't a proper video for the "long version"...
Love this song, haven't heard it for sooo long. All the Jackson bros sound great, but when Michael's voice comes thru so pure, I get chills. Kind of strange, seeing MJ holding the umbrella in this pic. Who knew that years later he would have to carry one around to protect his skin from the sun.
tazza82008, CrazyNaptownchick said the Jacksons are the SH**, meaing she loves their music. Not meaing she hates them. I grew up listening to them. My cousin played this song at his house for the 4th of July holiday and It almost brought tears to my eyes. So many memories came to mind of having family and friend to my house back in the day listening to this song and other by the J5. Very talented family.
Hah--that's an oddly prophetic picture you put up for this great song ..., and yeah! - the older body just jumps right back into groovin' on these hot soul fusion sounds of my youth!
Comprehension, the ability to decifer and understand - tazza82002, you obviously didn't understand what 'poster' was saying - and who would post a video song that they didn't like - Definitely one of the Jackson's best ever!
haha readin this was a riot. tell that imbecile off! and naptown represent! damn i love this song and you for posting it and being from my hometown. keep up the good work doin what you're doin

Remember listening to music in the dark watching, the EQ lights dance to the beat with the window fan blowing. Drinking Kool-Aid eating syrup sandwiches, lying on the album covers that were spread across the floor you turn up the volume so you can feel the bass vibrations.
IMO: The best part is when MJ sings@4:53 I'm the answer to the question My key unlocks your heart I'm your friend and your lover Your sister and your brother Jermain @5:49 Your wish is my command Let's get together People take my hand Let's get together Love love love love love love AHHHHHHHHHHH, you got to love classic, &wow Funk brothers you got 2 love them too.

Jermaine is such a great singer... Forgive me but I always liked him better than Michael... I never went for skeaky sounds. I like soft and sexy like Jermaine... he can sing to me all day and all night...
this is what the JACKSON BROTHERS sounded like just befor they left motown, and what one some song that Michael did not sing the lead. its interesting. DON'T count the Jackson Brothers out.
I LOVE this song!!!!! This song should be played on the radio today! I play this song over and over in my car. Yes, sexy Jermaine sings lead and super fine Michael sings towards the end.
ik ben al meer dan 30 jaar fan van the jacksons maar deze is zooooo vrezelijk mooi ik blijf rillingen krijgen xx with love from your biggest fan marga from hilversum
Jermaine had the best permed afro in 1974. The Jacksons out did them selves on this progressive rock record. Their performance on the Cher show put them over the top.
Wow! You are sho' nuff taking me back. We would be at a dance and we would be slow dancing, then all of a sudden had to break out ad do the robot or something(haha). Those were the good old days. I am also from Nap. I have checked out several of your videos, and you have done a wonderful job. I think any song where Jermaine led was my fav

Jermaine is such a great singer... Forgive me but I always liked him better than Michael... I never went for skeaky sounds. I like soft and sexy like Jermaine... he can sing to me all day and all night...

The drummer went crazy in this sound. The hell with todays music. This is what music should sound like.

I LOVE this song!!!!! This song should be played on the radio today! I play this song over and over in my car. Yes, sexy Jermaine sings lead and super fine Michael sings towards the end.

This one would have been nice to see them play this live. I love that drummer. Can you hear the individual voices of the Jackson 5?

Jermaine had the best permed afro in 1974. The Jacksons out did them selves on this progressive rock record. Their performance on the Cher show put them over the top.

Wow! You are sho' nuff taking me back. We would be at a dance and we would be slow dancing, then all of a sudden had to break out ad do the robot or something(haha). Those were the good old days. I am also from Nap. I have checked out several of your videos, and you have done a wonderful job. I think any song where Jermaine led was my fav

I like this. Never figured that the 5 could have a "progressive" rock streak in them.
