    Anice you can also use the Time slice function on the ES-1. The cool thing about this feature is that the ES-1 will add "tails" or ambience to the end of your chops to make them sound smoother.

  • You can Audacity (free) or Sound Studio for chop samples. I use Sound Studio to chop samples manually, then import them to ES-1. Start point can be adjusted on ES-1, so I put some "space" in the beginning of samples.

    Some people use auto chop apps like Recycle, but I've never used it.
