As far as the render times and you having 5 machines, look at it this way in terms of total render hours:
Shrek 1 = 5,000,000 render hours
Shrek 2 = 10,000,000 render hours
Shrek 3 = 20,000,000 render hours
Now take the 20 mil and devide it by 8766 hours in a year, that is 24 hours a day times 365.25 days a year and you come up with 2281.5423 years for a single computer to render it. Do the Math!!! Now your render speed doesn't seem so bad, does it??? ;^)
The popup trees as someone called them are coming from the "Dynamic Population" setting that is dependant on camera angle, viewing area and placement for the population. So when the camera is moving you then get the Popup trees. Dynamic Population is used to save RAM and Resources on your machine, but does not work well with anmations
Agreed. I want to see the sweet videos that all of the users that are insulting him. That's a good first attempt and very ambitious project. People don't realize the amount of time it takes to do 3d work.
Did you use vector motion blur? Because it didn't look like real motion blur, and I doubt you used it since it looked like you optimized your scene and render for fast rendering.
I dont know, it was pretty novice attempt although i did win some V cans.. I find even with 5 pcs the rendering time is frustrating. I would like to take a course sometime to do some better stuff. I am also not an Artist but know how to use the software fairly well techically.

@afterschooldigital True that, but if you're a college student you can get a one year license free and a perpetual license for 350. Or if you enroll in animation schools like Kolbe Film School or Animation Mentor. Try journeyed ---dottt--- com.
Hey I just did this to win some v cans, am not an artist and struggle with vie technically, just like trying new things, a lot of views though!

@Thelby1 How are you going to compare a multi-million dollar production to a free production in someone's house? Nice try.

@Chasela511 I hear people all the time complaining about how long Vue and other apps take to render
and truth is they don't know what long render times are S.A.
And where do you get FREE? 5 Computers are not free S.A., but I guess you and your entitlement mentallity think everything is Free!!!
Now my whole comment was not a hate speech on this dude, but was to show the truth, S.A.
I work with Vue everyday and I applaud his creativity S.A.
Lastly, I do mean S.A. and Not Esai

time to do some Maya for animation instead! Maya renders a lot faster than Vue and has more freedom for animation
