I forgot to mention how hard it is to aquire EVERYTHING, and like I said I got a long list worth of anime that I've downloaded and would like to buy when I find it. As for jrock stuff you can get them at anime conventions but then that also depends on your location and where the anime conventions are. I know for me I could either hit up NYAF, animeNEXT or Conneticon right off the bat.
For me it's like this: I'll absolutely try my best to buy the CDs/DVDs of artists I love, however I guess I feel more 'secure' to know 'yeah in case the buying gets delayed I have something to enjoy till I get my hands on the stuff'. It's no excuse I guess but for me j-rock stuff is expensive & I can't manage buying it all. So if there's a band I find interesting I'd prefer downloading their music & giving it a listen before jumping to buy it~ In any case, I agree with you (^_^)b
