The best policy is to keep your vacuum as dry as possible. water is horrible for the bearings. This was an exception of course. she could no longer use it because it stank when she ran it. I had to go the extra mile and lubricate all the bearings befor i put it all back together

Just a suggestion for you Mr gary Glitter look-a-like. Have you tried the fun game of the electric toaster in the bath, whilst you are in it?
Would certainly be more entertaining and I for one would very much enjoy the video of you frying. After all, nothing beats the smell of crispy bacon.

They should really be washed in gasoline, buckets and buckets of gasoline, and you should turn them on while you have that "THING" standing in it !!!
