I always used to play computer games on this computer. It always took forever to start up, however.. I would get scared waiting for it to load in our creepy basement.
0:18-0:41- I love that song and used to hear that all the time on Windows 98. Does anyone remember where on Windows 98 you can hear that song? I don't remember.
I just picked up a old IBM Aptiva for my collection (as a birthday gift), and after getting it a new hard drive to replace the mysteriously absent old one, installing 98 and installing video drivers for my only spare monitor, it runs great.
Of course, the thing has 128mb RAM and a AMD duron, so it would run well. (it did have a K6, apparently, but the old owner upgraded it to a duron. Kind of like running 98 on a pentium III, but whatever.)
My first OS was windows 98, bought second hand in 99. The thing broke rather fast and we got a computer running Me, I was in that hellhole for 6 years, now I have a win XP comp.
My old WinXP computer had low memory... 256MB. Although its memory doubled when I got a new memory card but it got damaged afterwards. For this new WinXP I currently use, it has 4GB memory.
As far as I know, the computers in my school were still running on Windows 2000. Don't know if they still use that or have they been upgraded to XP. I'll go with the latter.
I remember Windows 98 as well. I was 6-7 years old back then. Sadly, the old computer doesn't work anymore due to a HDD failure, but I still remember those days. My favourite sound scheme was the Musica scheme (which also has to be installed from the original Windows 98 CD). The Windows 98 version I had was the Standard Edition.

What was the third sound file you opened? I actually liked it, and the on-comp text is a bit hard to read.
