me and my dad was talking yesterday and because im only 16 and my dads 54 i look up to him alot and esoecially in his music knowledge and yes he went to the catacombs in wolverhampton which we more or less live in anyway and the mecca casino etc but he just missed out on the wheel and he was saying to me josh imagine walking into the wheel and this is playing... KTF !
when i was 15 I bought "You got my mind messed up" and was delighted to hear the B side "Thats what I want to Know" I played it so much that you couldn't read the label, Goldwax I think it was didn't have a paper label just printed the label on the vinyl just like Dimension and others. For some reason they both used dark blue ink which made it hard to read when it started to wear
I just started playing elcetric bass to fantastic records such as this one. The bass line may seem repetitive but to try even to appraoch the drive and real timing really takes some doing. All the best to all the 60's souls singers, musicians and others still out there.
One of the true Northern unsung soul singers, coming out of Memphis James started out as a gospel singer with the legend O .V. Wright,in 1964 Carr was spotted by Goldwax record supremo Quinton Claunch & the rest is as they say history !!!,.ktf.
