On the Droid if you need to exit a text field you hit the back arrow and it will exit the keyboard but not the calendar. this is true with every application as well.

I've personally only used one windows mobile phone and it ran 6.1 so I can't really say much about 6.5, however it does look pretty nice. On the other hand I've had a G1 since it lanched and now I'm using the Moto Cliq, and I must say that I'm enjoying android very much over the windows mobile experience I've had and also more than the iPhone (not that that's relevant :P)

Get the DROID, Android will soon be the leading OS for mobile phones considering that anyone can make it look like anything with NO limits.

I mean, any developer, phone company, phone maker, os maker, pretty much anybody who can program an OS is able to change the android OS around as they please. Not just by different themes and skins like windows mobile or maybe iPhone's OS, but by adding new functions and menus, changing the way the home screen works, that's why you see all these phone companies making their own unique additions to the android OS like motorola's MOTOBLUR and HTC's Sense UI. The possibilities are endless

Also, even the default android OS without any "aftermarket additions" is still more customizable than any other mobile OS on the market today. Widgets, movable icons, different desktops, wallpapers, etc...

Sure it has themes and skins, but it's a smaller scale of customization than the android platform. I mean you get 3 desktop with application icons anywhere you want them (saves time) and widgets are really where android shines, widgets are so incredibly handy you can turn your desktop into everything you use in a phone instead of going through tedious menus. And the notification bar is pure genius.

Pick 2 or 3 features which are most important to you and then compare these on both phones. You should also place a visit to your local stores to try both out. None can offer you better advice than your own personal preference & taste.

Can you change the color of calendar events from green to another color? like work can be red and school can be yellow etc?

You can't change the green color on the 31-day view that I could find. However, in the daily view, each calendar will have its own color. You can set up different calendars for work, school, personal, etc in Google Calendar and the Droid's calendar app will reflect the colors that were established in Google Calendar from the desktop/web settings.

Yes, it does. Android Market is on the Droid and Windows Mobile has Windows Marketplace for Mobile, otherwise known as Marketplace for Mobile.

WinMobile 6.5 looks like a mixture of 2009 and 1999. Its almost as if MS have little interest in the ever-growing Mobile "PC in your pocket" market

I read that Windows Marketplace is pretty dire too?

Have you ever used the Windows Mobile calendar?! Have you ever tried syncing with iCal or, more importantly, google calendar?! This is fan-frickin'-tastic! Can't wait to get my droid tomorrow...

I love the metal and glass on the Droid. The Droid has a nice rubberized coating on top of the metal so that it doesn't feel cold in your hands when you hold it. The HTC Hero (Sprint), Motorola Droid are the best of breeds in the Android category; Moto wins on build material and geek factor while the Herp gets the fashion statement. The Imagio is one of the best Windows Mobile phone. It depends on your experiences and needs with the OS and overall user experience with the different UIs.

I believe push will only be enabled for Exchange and GMail account. For all other POP and IMAP accounts, you will have to do pull emails. You can have it check for emails every 5 minutes if you need to.
